On this full-day tour, experience the scenic parts of the region with a driver-tour escort and learn about the UNESCO-listed region’s history. Take a boat ride between Manarola and Vernazza Monterosso and get free time to explore both locations on foot. Enjoy a shared boat ride from Manarola to Monterosso & make stops in local wine bars and restaurants to sip some regional varietals and eat a traditional Italian lunch (both at own expense). This tour operates with a limited number of participants to ensure an intimate atmosphere. Round-trip transportation from Florence is included.

Itinerary
Meet your driver-tour escort and small tour group at the Piazza della Repubblica in central Florence. Board a comfortable tour vehicle and depart for Cinque Terre, a collection of five postcard-perfect fishing hamlets that hug a rugged coastal stretch of the Italian Riviera.
Travel through Tuscany and into the Liguria region for your initial stop in the village of Manarola. Pause for fantastic photo ops of the coastline and the cerulean ocean beyond, then stroll through the narrow alleys and quaint squares of the town itself, one of the oldest in Cinque Terra. Sip a glass or two of the region's famous wines at a charming local wine bar (own expense).
Departing Manarola, meet your tour escort at a prearranged location to board your boat to Vernazza. During your scenic boat journey, sit back and view the coast gliding by with rolling hills as the backdrop.
Go ashore in Vernazza after cruising through the picturesque open harbor. Use your free time to walk around, visit the village's castle and church. Stop at one of the many waterfront restaurants for a traditional Italian lunch (own expense).
Following your time in Vernazza, climb into a tour vehicle for a drive through picturesque Corniglia before returning to your starting point.

- Public boats operate subject to weather conditions and along the Cinque Terre until about the 3rd week of October. When boats are not operative transfer between towns will be by train or by minivan
- Boats do not operate in bad weather conditions and when the sea is rough. On these occasions transfers between towns is by local coastal train or by minivan.
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- Only for Private Shore Excursions : If you are on a cruise ship docking in Livorno or La Spezia, contact us via viator for a pick up and drop off fee
- Itinerary from November until March. - During the winter months, the tour will feature the enchanting towns of Manarola, Vernazza and Corniglia. Corniglia is located on top of an hill and offers enchanting views over the Cinque terre panaroma . From Manarola to Vernazza transfer will be by coastal train. Your driverguide ( a driver knowledgable about the areas visited ) will be with you at all time, except on the transfer by coastal train between Manarola and Vernazza.

We had a wonderful day in Cinque Terre with our guide Mario. He was very knowledgeable about the area as he’s originally from Florence. We visited three of the five towns, which seemed perfect as we could spend adequate time at each one. We lucked out with the weather and were able to go on the boat ride, which was very scenic.
We had a slight hiccup at the beginning of our tour when the car seat was missing, but Mario was quick to solve the problem and made sure our time on the trip was not shortened.
The towns were lovely, and we easily communicated with shop owners and restaurant staff. Overall, we would highly recommend this trip and our guide, Mario, to others.

Relaxed day at Cinque Terre. However, we felt that Vernazza was worth 1 hour at most, whereas Monterosso could've been given 2 hours instead.

Jonathan, our guide, was great. He shared interesting information throughout the day about the Cinque Terre and Italy. The pace was very good and we felt well cared for throughout the day. We had lunch in Vernazza, which was a pretty town but also overflowing with tourists. We are not saying this a complaint about the tour, just a note to others that the Cinque Terre is indeed a popular destination.

We really enjoyed our trip to Cinque Terra, which is beautiful and worth the trip from Florence. Our driver, Claudio, was pleasant and an excellent driver. What was missing was a knowledgeable guide who could have given us information about what we were seeing on the way and the towns themselves.

Unfortunately it was a disaster due to bad weather. However Ayub tried to accommodate and took us to Lucca however it poured there too. Ayub was wonderful though. If we had good weather it would have been wonderful.

We jumped on this tour last minute & I am so grateful there was space for us! It was a small group & the van we drove in was extremely comfortable. We had plenty of free time, but also learned about the areas we were visiting. There are many tours to Cinque Terre but this one was outstanding. I cant recommend enough!

All that was promised was done. Our guide was not very interactive with the group. He didn’t introduce himself; I finally asked his name. He didn’t give clear instructions for a meeting place until we asked for more information. No scenic information was given to the group as we drove. The sights were amazing, but he was rather bland.

Spectacular and truly unique coastline. Despite stormy weather, still very busy as expected although quite easy to get around via train once there (too rough for the boat ride). Wish our guide had mentioned we were leaving the bus for 5 hours as a result did not have my hat, water or towel. Still a great day.

Claudio was a great guide; professional, accommodating and on time. My review has nothing to do with him but the tour itself. We got no time at the first Terre at all. We walked down the street and boarded a ferry. The ferry took an hour to get to our first stop where we only had an hour to explore. We the took the train to the final stop and where we had an hour and 45 minutes. Very little history or information was given about Cinque which we were okay with but we had very little time overall there. Find a tour that doesn’t have the ferry and only uses the train between.

What an incredible trip! Jonathan was kind, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. I loved hearing all the rich history of Italy—these tours have truly been amazing for that. The guides share insights only locals would know, and Jonathan was a true wealth of knowledge. He was so accommodating to everyone in the group. My daughter and I wanted to swim, and thanks to his suggestions, we got to enjoy the water in both Monterosso and Vernazza. Highly recommend this experience!
