Top Dallas Hiking Tours

Prairie in the heart of a city? You can find it in east Dallas and I'm excited to share it with you. The Blackland prairie ecosystem is a unique and diverse landscape dominated by beautiful wildflowers and grasses. It is estimated that less than 1% of this special part of nature remains statewide. It is home to countless species of plants, birds, and bugs (as well as other small critters). On this tour we will explore prairie remnants near White Rock Lake and discuss their history, ecology, and traditional uses by Native peoples. Walking/light hiking is required. Some of the grasses are tall! Please wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. Wear sun protection and bring your refillable water bottle! *please note: there is no public restroom in walking distance of this location so make sure to go beforehand! If you want in a day/time not shown on my calendar or want to book a private tour, please reach out. Also, if you have special needs in order to book please let me know.
