IMPORTANT: Once your booking is confirmed please send us a private message reconfirming your desired pickup time and your email address so we can send you more details for the day of your arrival and a map so you have no trouble leaving the port. Details for PICKUP: On the day of your arrival, there will be someone waiting for you just before the exit of the port premises. There ir a line to aboard the taxis but you can directly skip the line because hayhu already has a designated driver waiting for you. His name is GABRIEL or RUTH FROM THE COMPANY TAXI TOUR COSTA MAYA and they will Immediately locate you in your vehicle. I will send you an email with pictures of where you will find them. Remember, you have to go towards the exit of the port to where the taxis are. Follow the red line in the map. (It’s about a 20min walk). We book and pay the transportation 24hs before your arrival, so If there is any inconvenient, please let us as soon as you can. Remember that the pick up time is according to the Mahahual time.

What To Expect

Make the most of your port stop in Costa Maya spending the day relaxing, swimming, and soaking up the sun at a private beach club.

This hassle-free tour starts at the cruise port, where you’ll have a seamless transfer to Hayhu Beach Club on a secluded beach. This is just for you and your group of up to six guests, so you won’t have to share this with people you don’t know.

You can choose from loads of options at the club, including snorkeling, paddleboarding or kayaking, volleyball, soccer, and more. Equipment is provided, so you don’t need to source that elsewhere.

You can use your food and drink credits towards a delicious lunch with plenty of choices, plus both non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.

It was my first time leaving the cruise port of Costa Maya and I was skeptical about leaving port due to safety. We were put at ease because Ruth was there waiting for us with our taxi. We got to the resort and we were greeted by the manager. He said Welcome to Heaven and he was correct. It is a Gorgeous place with the Best service!!! Fransico was our attendant and he was amazing! The food and the drinks were awesome! We had our own couch, lounge chairs and bathroom!! I will definitely be back. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Off the beaten path, everything from the transportation from the cruise port, to the amazing food (try the big platter, it's totally worth it!), to the incredible staff, it was the highlight of our 2 week cruise. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants a quiet, boujie afternoon at a virgin beach.

Cabana was very nice and food was good. Staff very friendly. The beach directly in front of the resort was very nice and taken care of. However, the surrounding beach was not as nice and contained lots of trash.

This place is definitely 10/10. The location was about a 25 minute drive from port, but absolutely worth it. The private beach and private deck area both were beautiful and secluded. Even the food is delicious! Huge shout out to the staff though. Those guys are amazing! They made our day truly special and the service was top-tier. We never had to look for them or ask for anything. If I could give this more stars, I would. Don’t skip over this place!

Please do it. This place does not get enough recognition. The staff is very attentive and respectful. The manager ensures the taxi service is on time to take you back to the port or any destination. Gabriel was on time if not early to pick us up from the Port, he always had a smile on his face and told us many stories about the land. If you don't want to do excursions and only want to enjoy peace and quiet, please do this with your group. It was literally only 6 of us at this private oasis. Don't let the long roads fool you, it is definitely worth it ! Communication was great through WhatsApp along with the response rate. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Secluded Paradise

This was an amazing experience! It was a beautiful location - very secluded and quiet - and the staff members were very attentive and friendly. It was my MIL’s 75th birthday, and they brought out a delicious slice of cheesecake and brownies that we ordered to make it memorable. The food was delicious. The transportation to and from the resort had clear instructions and communication ahead of time to ensure a smooth experience. We arrived back to the port with time to shop before getting back on the cruise ship. There was a lot of sargassum during our visit, but that’s nature and cannot be controlled. We made the most of it and still enjoyed it. May want to bring a little bug spray (though that could have been because of the sargassum). If we’re ever in that area again, we will definitely return for another visit. Thanks again for a wonderful time and allowing us to create fond family memories there!

This is definitely off the beaten path! The beach club is very nice. We got hit with some torrential downpour and they were very good about moving us under cover for the rain. There are only 2 kayaks and we didn’t ask about snorkeling bc the water was very rough the day we were there. The beach is not that pretty and was covered in smelly seaweed which seemed to be an issue for multiple excursions. Food and drink were great. Staff was very attentive. Definitely a relaxing day.

We had an absolutely amazing day! Our driver, Gabriel (aka Mario Andretti) got us there and back quickly and safely (was definitely and adrenaline and musical adventure)! It was such a relaxing day. Great seating options (table, swings, hammock, lounge chairs, etc). The sand is soft, the view is incredible; the ocean was a bit rough but gorgeous to view. Francisco, Freddy, and Ezekiel provided exceptional service. Joshua (manager) checked in frequently. It felt like we were family visiting. Food and drinks (great tequila options) were awesome and reasonably priced (got more than we expected for our $300 prepaid voucher). We will definitely come back. FANTASTIC!!!

Hayhu Beach Club break

Extremely relaxing, uncrowded, beyond pleasant beach club break. Splurged for one of the 2 private, upper deck areas - several loungers, table, chairs, hammock. Short walk to beach. Snorkel equipment available, bar right there, some seaweed on beach but not at all an issue for swimming. Transportation was in a private taxi after meeting Ruth the taxi coordinator outside the port - bit of a walk but fairly straightforward. Julian the club manager met us and was very helpful throughout. Freddy attended to us over the few hours we spent there. Staff were all great.,Food allowance was included and was REALLY good - we had a barbecue platter for the group. Great drinks. Joshua checked when we wanted to get back to the ship and the taxi picked us up on time (- 25 min drive I think). Probably our favorite excursion of our cruise on Icon of the Seas. Highly recommend Hayhu Beach Club and booking thru Viator (also, my granddaughter accidentally left a sentimental necklace at the club - after calling them before we sailed away, Lucian, a manager, committed to investigating shipping necklace to us in California at our cost, of course - that was going above and beyond- much appreciated)

Don't Schedule This Tour if You Want To Get Back In Time!

We were on Norwegian Line and had limited time in the port of Costa Maya. we were off the ship at 8:30 and trying to find our guide. After multiple inquiries we finally found them outside the SECOND gate. We were then advised we would need to wait for a taxi, and to talk to the MANAGER of the resort in order to assure getting back to the port in time. We were told it was a 20 minute(?) drive and we would only have about 2and a half hours at the resort and hopefully we would be back in time for the ship's departure. We did not want to take the chance and declined the tour. The tour operators told us that was quite okay with them as they would get paid anyway. Terrible communication and attitudes!

How else were we supposed to coordinate and arrange a perfect tour for you if you don’t reply to your messages? When you arrived at the meeting point, your private transportation was already arranged and paid for, but you chose not to board even after being reminded that your cancellation would not apply for a refund. While we completely understand that plans can sometimes shift, our cancellation policy—clearly stated at the time of booking—is in place to ensure fairness to all our guests. The real heartbreaker? That day was absolutely perfect—the kind of day that makes you want to stay in the ocean forever. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing, and the vibes at the beach club were just right. And of course, everyone who came with us that day made it back to their cruise on time—no sprinting down the dock, no dramatic last-minute leaps onto the ship. We’ve got the timing down to a science 😉 We truly wish the outcome had been different because we know you would have had an incredible experience. If you ever find yourself back in Costa Maya, we’d love the chance to welcome you and show you exactly why so many guests rave about their time with us. If you decide not to, it’s ok. A true hidden gem.

This is the absolute best part of our cruise. It was soooo worth the money. The experience is exactly as described. We loved having our own table and chairs and deck to hang out on. The views were amazing! Everyone had a blast! I like that there were a couple small families underneath us bc my kids had kids to play with. My favorite thing about this was the privacy and getting away from huge crowds. The massage was a nice touch and all of the food was spectacular! The $300 allowances for the menu was great, we spent just $6 extra lol. This was everyone’s favorite activity and we all had a fantastic time! If I ever come back to this area we will definitely return to this hidden gem! We also liked that our taxi driver got us there and back quickly and stopped and got us beer when we asked. Gabriel was great! Mattel was an amazing waiter. Everyone took care of us like family. Don’t overthink it. BOOK THIS EXCURSION! :))))))

The beach was stunning and private. There are multiple areas at the club to rent though so you will have other families with you. The food was superb and the staff super kind. The drive to get there takes about 30 min so be prepared for that.

Paradise Experience

This is a gem of a hideaway and gives an island paradise feel. The staff was extremely professional and attentive in serving our family. Everything our family ordered was amazing, and the grouper is by far the best I have ever had. Their food and drinks were by far my favorite of the whole week of being on a cruise and any port we stopped at. My kids/grandkids snorkeled and I kayaked which was so much fun. We had plenty of time to relax in our beautiful beach cabana that had its own bathroom. AMAZING EXPERIENCE and I would go back right now!

This resort was absolutely beautiful!! The staff was so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious! Only thing we didn't like was the pina colada, but the margaritas made up for that. I saw previous negative comments about the transportation, but my group didn't have any issues. In fact, we arrived a lot earlier than we expected, and they got us taken care of quickly, without issue. Also, in regard to the comments about the driver speeding, the vehicle speedometer is in kilometers per hour, so going 100, is only around 62 mph. Bottom line, my entire group loved it and will do again if we return to Costa Maya.

We are avid cruisers and this excursion was great from start to finish. Amazing food and staff and we literally felt like we were the only ones around....4 ships in port and we saw 20 people all day. This was the best excursion that we took on our one week cruise. Everything went really smooth. Communication from Hayhu was exellent with good istructions. Our driver Diego was very nice and on time. Place itself was beautiful. Drinks and food was very good and service top notch! We highly recommend.

This was a truly amazing excursion. Definitely first class throughout. Starting with the friendly driver who was very communicative about how and were to meet. On to the really beautiful, truly private beach resort. The management could not have done more to make us feel welcome and special. The accommodations were first class - including a private bathroom and shower. They were very reasonable on charges for massages and extra food. Really great experience.
