The people running Jame’s were really really nice. (Shout out to Elsa!) However, the experience was tainted by lack of clarity from Viator. The instructions to get to the hotel are a little bit confusing, but after we did actually make it there, it was very hard for them to find our reservation. In addition, they insisted that massages were not included. Viator sent an exhaustive amount of notices that we would be charged, but our receipt showed only the dollar amount. For over $200 you would expect that is more than just tacos and a chair in front of a roped off square of shallow water. Fortunately, I took a screenshot of the original listing which said we could choose from four different massages. Unfortunately, the manager said that massages were not included and reluctantly agreed to a short massage and we could not choose what type. Because it started off that way, it was difficult to relax. The food was really good though and Chucho was attentive. I see that today they changed the description- buyer beware. I would recommend booking directly through the proprietor for a better experience.

The massage was one of the best we ever had. The place was so authentic. Open air with beautiful local decorations. The staff was friendly. The margaritas were outstanding. The food was made fresh with the kitchen right behind the table area. It is close to the port and is walkable. Loved it and will do it again. The pool however, is small, but good if you wanted to just cool off. We did not use it but it is on the way to the rooms for the massage.

Badly maintained pool, ambience and atmosphere. Ok massage, passable food. Good drinks and service. The only good part is this place is walkable from port. The price you pay for the package is so not worth it imo. If pool and massage is what you’re looking for just go into town.

If I could I would give no stars. They canceled our spot and emailed us the day before while we’re on the ship and have no access to see until we were at the port. They emailed to offer us a different location but no information of location.

This tour was a nice end to our day at Costa Maya. The scooter ride down the boardwalk from end to end of Mahahual was really cool and relaxing. The first stop we made was to feed iguanas which I didn't expect. The tour guide said usually there's about 20 iguanas that come out but only four did for us. But it was still pretty cool. Our lunch and drinks and the end of the tour was delicious! Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Costa Maya!

This scooter tour was more than we expected. We had a great guide, good food, great customer service, and lots of drinks!! My entire family enjoyed it, and although our vacation was amazing overall, this topped the list for the things we did. We danced, we laughed, we rode scooters… Beginning to end we enjoyed our experience. I think I forgot to mention the tequila tasting… yum
