Private tour to the ruins
We had a wonderful time on this excursion. We had Julio as our driver and Leo as our guide. They were both great, very fun to talk to, and had alot of great information about the area. They answered all our questions and joke around with us. If you get a chance asked for them as your guides!!!

This was a great way to...
This was a great way to explore with a local company. Our tour guide, Siomara, was knowledgeable and friendly. She knew about history and nature and shared many interesting facts. On the way back we stopped at a roadside pineapple stand where we enjoyed fresh pineapple. I opted to purchase homemade upside down pineapple cake and fresh salsa. They also dropped us off a Mahahual at our request so we didn’t have to take a taxi back there from the port. Overall, a great day with a wonderful local business! Highly recommend.

Worth the drive
The meeting place was quite a distance from the port. The van had ac and took an hour to get to the lagoons. The lagoons were amazingly beautiful! The water was shallow and the temperature was nice. There weren’t really any fish, so no snorkeling. We had a short drive to get tacos, they were okay.

An Unforgettable Day!
This was an amazing experience from start to finish. Communication with Tino was great. The vans and boat for Bacalar were wonderful. Francisco and Leo made this the most memorable day. Francisco got us everywhere safely. Leo was a fantastic guide and so knowledgeable. Bacalar was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I am well traveled. This is an experience you wont’t forget!

Mixing Caribbean shores with ancient Maya culture, Costa Maya offers equal opportunities for sightseeing and soaking up the sun. Costa Maya excursions transport you deep into the jungle to the 3,000-year-old Chacchoben Ruins to learn about one of the Maya empire’s most important ceremonial centers. Other tours whisk you into the water at the Bacalar Lagoon—known as the Lake of Seven Colors, thanks to its iridescent hues—and luxury beach clubs where you can enjoy massages and mojitos by the Caribbean Sea.
