Chichen Itza Day Tour

The adventure began with a 6:30 a.m. hotel pick up. Comfortable coach travel to and from the destination(s). Total travel time for the day was around 4 hours. First stop was a commercial Mayan establishment with plenty of souvenirs and other things to buy. A traditional Mayan blessing was performed by a shaman. Engaging and interesting. The second stop was Chichen Itza. The Mayan Warrior Temple is amazing. As is all the remaining archaeological evidence of this ancient city. The grounds are overrun with trinket sellers. They are located all over the temple grounds. Very distracting to the solemnity of the place. Super hot and humid the day we visited…+90 degrees F. Third stop was the Cenote. Very chaotic at this stop. You’re kind of just let loose figuring out the swimming preparations. Keys for your locker, locker locations and safety vest assignment. The Cenote was so much fun. We jumped off a platform into that amazing pool of water. Exhilarating. The lunch provided was a Mexican buffet. It could be eaten before or after the Cenote swim. The buffet was delicious and plentiful! The final stop of the day was the city of Valladolid. The city center courtyard was inviting and had nice areas for great family photos. The church across the street was interesting as well. All of the stones used to construct the church building were remnants of Mayan architecture. The local merchants were many and various. We loved the local ice cream! We slept on the way home to our hotel. Luis our travel guide is half Mayan by birth. He was super knowledgeable. We found that his narration was really interesting. However he did the narration in English and Spanish, switching between the two very quickly. Often difficult to follow. The bus driver Eduardo was polite and helpful. We had a wonderful, very long day!

Best prices, Awesome service. Here are my details: This was the first time visiting Cancun. I had my doubts about using Cancun Elite but they got very good review so I decided to take my chance. When the day arrived, I was not sure how and where to meet up with the driver. The app did not display the company but only provided Cancun airport as the pickup location. I could have contacted the provider but I didn't. I'd just trusted the process when I get there. My flight was delayed by 45 minutes. When I landed in Cancun, I received a google voice text message from my driver Alfredo saying that he will be the operator to take me to my resort. I couldn't respond to his text message because google voice displayed "Unsupported destination." DO NOT use your google voice number for the contact. Somone contacted me on my secondary contact phone number that I've provided (i.e. my cell phone number). I have Verizon Unlimited Welcome plan and Mexico is covered within the plan. We weren't able to communicate effective due to the noise and language barrier but I let them know that I was at immigration. After exiting immgration, there were many vendors trying to help and/or confuse me with finding my shuttle. I ignored them and walked straight OUTSIDE the terminal, passing by a line of taxi booths on my left. I saw many shuttles from different companies loading up passengers. Then I saw Alfredo holding up my name. He was a nice gentleman. He loaded up my luggages and validated my information. After that, I was all good to go. The van was clean and in very good condition. I got a nice smooth ride to my resort. I was concerned about the return pickup. I've purchased a roundtrip ticket but my app did not show the return and my flight was rescheduled by JetBlue, so I was concerned about the trip back to the airport. I've contacted the company via the app, they responded quickly and confirmed my pickup date and time. On the day of pickup, I got a text message on the exact time of arrival and the driver name. I got picked up and arrived at the airport early. Now, all I needed were JetBlue QR Code and passport. My return flight to Orlando arrived early. Thank you Cancun Elite. And Thank you Jesus!

So much to do in a little time

We had a wonderful experience with this excursion. We had some trepidation after reading other reviews about the pressure of upselling or unfriendly guides but we did not experience any of that. Our driver picked us up on time and although the drive was longer than expected(about 1 hr out of Cancun) he got us there safely where we met our amazing guide, Omar. Omar was a lot of fun and engaging; he was also very mindful about safety. Their setup for the activities was well planned and executed. We especially loved our photos (courtesy of Jose, our group photographer). He did an amazing job and the quality of his photos are superb. Thank you for making this a memorable trip!

Worth it!!

Super fun experience, ignore bad reviews this was one of the coolest things ever. Angel was our guide and he was an absolute delight, his name does him justice!! The tequila tasting was a highlight for me. It was so much fun learning about the process and actually getting many samples of different tequilas.

The booking, meetup, and...

The booking, meetup, and execution were perfect. The gave instructions the night before our flight to make it easy to find them upon arrival. After landing, the staff were in contact again to be sure we knew where to find them. We easily found them at The Welcome Bar just outside of Terminal 4, and were quickly on our way to the hotel. On our return, the staff was waiting for us when promised, quickly got us back to the airport, and we were on our way. What could easily be the most stressful part of a trip was made SOO easy by the staff of Advance Traveling! Thanks!

Nice ride, great price!

The communication with tour/ride operators was stellar! Operators first contacted me to confirm flight times, then reached out again a few days before our arrival with directions on how to find our driver. The day of our flight, operators touched base again because I had a typo on our flight number, and they wanted to ensure the driver had the correct information and time to meet us. The directions on where to meet the driver were great. Of course, there were hundreds of other drivers there as well, all with signs for their clients. It took a minute, but then we found our driver (Raul? I can't remember.). He immediately confirmed our tickets on my phone, then took a photo of our group for safety purposes. The transport van was spacious - actually bigger than I expected! The driver kindly loaded our bags and ensured the air conditioning was on and pointed in our direction. After an uneventful drive, we arrived at our rental and the driver unloaded the bags.

Perfect transportation...

Perfect transportation experience beginning to end! I’m so glad we went with this company Luis & Miguel were great. Easy, clear communication after booking online, and also through customs arrivals. Our driver was easy to find, waiting for us right outside baggage claim. He took care of our bags while we cooled off in the crystal clean SUV with cold beverages. That was such a nice treat! Flying into CUN airport is definitely an overwhelming project we had just flown 5 hours so this was such a smooth, great way to start our vacation.
