Unforgettable Experience! We will be returning!
If you’re on the fence because of some of the negative reviews, don’t be. We almost let them scare us away, but we’re so glad we took the chance because this ended up being one of the best excursions we’ve ever done and we travel quite a bit.
Josh was an incredible guide from start to finish. He made the entire day fun, organized, and memorable. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and wants everyone in his group to have an amazing experience.
The cenotes were absolutely breathtaking. They were crystal clear, incredibly clean, and so much fun to swim and explore. The tequila tasting was quick but delicious, and the pork tacos afterward were fantastic and a perfect way to wrap up the experience.
We also added the photo package, and it was definitely worth it. It ended up costing us about $1 per photo, which is an unbelievable value compared to most excursions. The pictures captured the day perfectly.
This was honestly one of the best excursions we’ve ever experienced anywhere. Looking back, I can’t help but think some of the negative reviews are from people who simply aren’t happy with anything. Our experience couldn’t have been more different.
If you’re visiting Cancún, book this excursion. If you get the chance, ask for Josh as your guide. We’d do this again every single time we come back. It was an unforgettable day and worth every penny.

Enjoyed the jet ski...
Enjoyed the jet ski experience for my first time! Was happy with the overall experience from start to finish. We were provided with a compliment video of our return back and also two pictures which was very nice. Thank you so much for making the experience fun and memorable!

Great family trip in a nice smaller boat!
This was amazing! We took the optimal shuttle and it was a long packed ride so be ready for it (motion sickness meds). The traffic was bad so booking their shuttle gave peace of mind that they wouldn’t leave without us. The boat had only 16 people total (not 90-100 like the mega tours) and we were able to lay out on the front of the boat the whole trip. At check in please don’t overlook the port fee (which was more than our trip) but we were ready for it. It’s a short ride to where we snorkeled and it was just enough. There were a lot of fish and we even saw a turtle. The small group cut down on constantly being kicked by other people snorkeling like when we went in other larger trips. The equipment was basic but usable. You stay together as a group so it felt safe. Then we went to the southern part of the island where we had our lunch buffet. The food was basic (hot dogs, hamburgers and tacos) and good and there was an open bar. We had just enough time to eat and check out the Ice Bar (bar in a walk-in freezer) before we left for the north beach. While waiting to dock we were able to take a quick swim in the ocean. We had two hours on Isla Mujeres which was enough to either do some shopping or hang out at the beach. The ride back was nice and relaxing. My whole family absolutely loved the trip and would book it again. We initially booked another trip but it had bad reviews and was more of a mega catamaran with 80-100 people so I am gald I canceled and switched.

Outstanding Family Snorkeling Adventure!
We booked our snorkeling excursion with Extreme Adventuring Cancun through Viator, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Traveling with two 6-year-old children, safety and comfort were our top priorities, and the entire team did an incredible job making us feel at ease from start to finish.
The staff was exceptionally attentive, patient, and friendly, especially with our kids. They took the time to explain everything clearly, checked on everyone throughout the excursion, and ensured we all felt safe and comfortable in the water. Their professionalism and genuine care made a huge difference and allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the experience.
The boat itself was also very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything felt organized and professionally run. The snorkeling was fantastic, and it was wonderful to be able to share such a memorable adventure as a family.
If you're looking for a family-friendly snorkeling excursion in Cancun, especially with young children, we highly recommend Extreme Adventuring Cancun. We would absolutely book with them again!
