I was very thankful that they came back to pick us up to go to our hotel. Our plane was later leaving the Montreal we had about 450 passengers. When we got to the Cancun airport it took over 2 hours to unload the plane so we were told that the driver could not wait. Once I talked to someone a Viator They fixed everything everything and we were picked up and brought to our hotel. Again thank you very much. Gisele Poirier

I was advised that I would need to pay additional for my trip as there was an error on location. I booked using the hotel address and was confirmed. There were further confirmations sent and reminders of payment coming out on a certain date. There were WhatsApp conversations with the local provider, Unittravel, advising on pick up times, what to do in the event of flight delays...etc. The payment processed. When we arrived at the airport, the driver advised that I needed to pay a additional funds for my return transfer as "I" made the error. Followed up with local company Unittravel and Viator. I was advised that it was "my fault" and that what I had paid for a return transfer was now only being applied to one way trip and I was on my own to book my own return transfer to the airport at the end of the trip. The local operator engaged in back and forth via WhatsApp and basically said either I pay extra or I am on my own. I argued the point, and they became condescending and rude. I contacted Viator via their web chat feature and were not supportive or helpful at all. Basically the same as the local operator - you are on your own. We booked a private car for the return to the airport and the cost of the one way was 50% less than the Viator rate. I feel like I was totally scammed.

The Viator platform lets you select the lowest transfer cost and allows you to enter any hotel name; it then gives you your confirmation. But you know you paid for a Cancun area hotel, and your hotel might be in Tulum. There's a big price difference. You're the one being scammed because you knew which hotel you were staying at.

Good communication-Safe Drive

Overall, good service! I booked this transport a week before I traveled. The communication was very good, they let me know ahead of time that if I needed pickup from different terminals, to let them know as it would be an additional fee. I was able to easily message them on whatsapp once I was ready for pickup. Straight drive to the hotel was very convenient, gracias!

Highly Disappointing

I booked for a special occasion to be picked up in a SUV style vehicle Escalade and I made that very clear on my booking. They were an hour late, never looked for us, kept texting saying they were coming shortly in 5 mins, 20 mins later for over an hour and then show up in a regular shuttle van. I asked the driver about the car we booked and he said he didn’t know anything about that. I spent time on customer service support making sure I booked the properly car for my husbands 50th birthday so this was highly disappointing. We have dinner reservations shortly and we are leaving an hour late to drive an hour away to playa del Carmen from Cancun with a lot of traffic and rain.

Our transportation company does not sell luxury vehicles, only private transportation. You paid an affordable price; you know that what you paid is not the cost of a luxury vehicle. And the traffic problem is not our fault either. You were kept in touch by phone the entire time.

The communication with tour/ride operators was stellar! Operators first contacted me to confirm flight times, then reached out again a few days before our arrival with directions on how to find our driver. The day of our flight, operators touched base again because I had a typo on our flight number, and they wanted to ensure the driver had the correct information and time to meet us. The directions on where to meet the driver were great. Of course, there were hundreds of other drivers there as well, all with signs for their clients. It took a minute, but then we found our driver (Raul? I can't remember.). He immediately confirmed our tickets on my phone, then took a photo of our group for safety purposes. The transport van was spacious - actually bigger than I expected! The driver kindly loaded our bags and ensured the air conditioning was on and pointed in our direction. After an uneventful drive, we arrived at our rental and the driver unloaded the bags.

So impressed! It was everything the reviews have noted - communications was excellent both through the Viatour app, and then through what’s app. Our flight was delayed but no issues on arrival - someone was waiting for us with our names on a sign, and brought us to Orlando who was excellent!! His English is excellent, he was polite, a great driver, and shared amazing insights on Aztec culture! Do not hesitate to book this transfer!

This was our first time using this service. It took a little bit to find our driver (not too long), but everyone was helpful in directing us to the spot where they normally stand. There were a lot of people/drivers when we arrived. The communication via WhatsApp was clear. Make sure to read the instructions on your ticket and follow them. I saved the number to WhatsApp and contacted the driver when we landed informing him of our arrival and that we still needed to clear customs. I also sent a message after clearance that we were headed his way. Our driver was great. He confirmed the resort we were going to, told us the approximate amount of time to the resort, and got us there quickly and safely. We did a round-trip transfer, so during the ride, I was asked to complete a form with all pertinent information for our departure. Our driver instructed us to put a departure time from the hotel of 3 hours 15 minutes prior to our flight departure time. I received a WhatsApp message the day before to confirm our departure date. Communication is key. They did their part and I did our part. The service was fantastic!

Driver was 30 minutes late. Our flights were delayed but I kept in contact with them. After a nice amstar driver called the number I had and asked the driver when they would be arriving to pick us up (with a toddler), it took 30 minutes late at night. He arrived in a small car, and we almost had a wreck.

After your flight was delayed by 5 hours, we did our best to arrange your transfer, albeit with a slight delay. We are responsible, but we could have canceled your transportation due to the time you arrived in Cancun. Otherwise, it would have been a bad experience for you.

After another company canceled on me the day before my trip I had to scramble to find a shuttle from Cancun Airport to hotel. Viator came through in a clutch. It took a few for our driver to locate us. But messaging through WhatsApp he found us and all went well.
