Perfect Small-Group Tour to See It All—Early Access, Great Guides, and Worth the Long Day!
We had an incredible experience on this small group tour easily a 5-star day, even if it was a long one! Traveling in a group of just 9 people in a comfortable Toyota van made a huge difference. Everyone was punctual and ready to go, which helped the day run smoothly from start to finish. Our guide, Eder, did an excellent job keeping us on schedule while also sharing interesting and engaging insights especially at Chichén Itzá. He made the history come alive in a way that kept everyone interested. Arriving at Chichén Itzá at 8:20 AM was absolutely the right move. It was already getting busy, but still manageable and by the time we left at 10:50, the parking lot was packed with large tour buses. Definitely a huge advantage of this tour! There are lots of vendors throughout the site, so be prepared if you like to browse or shop, and there are a few spots to grab cold drinks and snacks as well. The cenote stop was a really fun experience especially for a first visit. It’s a beautiful place, though with about an hour and a half there, it felt like we only scratched the surface since there are so many activities available. Ek Balam was another highlight. It offered a different perspective on Maya architecture and felt less crowded, which made it a great complement to Chichén Itzá. If you’re interested in seeing more than one archaeological site, this is a fantastic way to do it. Edgar, our driver, was excellent safe, smooth, and professional throughout the entire journey. He was always offering ice cold water at the different stops and that was appreciated. Yes, it’s a very long day, and we definitely needed a full recovery day afterward—but given the distance from Cancun, this tour felt like the perfect balance. If you want to see multiple major sites in one trip without the chaos of large bus tours, this is absolutely the way to go. Highly recommend!

Great choice
Sasha was awesome. The market visit was great! I wish we could have been part of picking out some of the ingredients while we were there, and could have made our own margaritas as part of the experience, but overall the class was great. The dietary accommodation was very much appreciated and we had a great time.

So neat!
We had Edar as our guide for this full day activity! Long but very fulfilling day! Loved that we saw the big site first and before the crowds were there. When we went to the cenote, our group had it to ourselves! So quiet and amazing to witness nature in its pure form. Final stop was a more residential mayan ruin....newer and less crowded! So neat that we were able to climb these ones! Powerful to have stood where ancients once did. This is a long day, but I believe very much worth it.

Fantastic trip if you just want to do Chichen Itza and get back early!
Ivan was a fantastic tour guide so knowledgeable and he explained things to us in a way that didn’t go over our heads. Manuel was a terrific driver and got us there and back safely. I think we were back at the hotel by 3:30. We left early (6:30am) had about an hour and a half with Ivan guiding us then had another hour and a half just exploring on our own. When we got back to the van they had lovely pre boxed and sealed sandwiches chips and iced cold water sodas and beers. It was a perfect trip and we were back in time to enjoy our resort for the rest of the day.
