Read the find print one states there’s no extra fees. The other one states there’s a $25 fee contradicts itself. What a booked a different group tour guide was nice but we had one Spanish-speaking person in the group so he had to translate and it was distracting.

Our guide, Yos, was excellent! A great ambassador for Mexico. She shared information about her home town, traditions/legends of the Mayan people, favorite foods, religious references and much history. The Tulum site itself was much more than I expected. A tiny city along a gorgeous lush coastline. It is quite a bus ride from Cancun. Travel time to/from Tulum takes just as much time as we spent at the ruins. But so glad we went. Definitely worth the visit!

Lalo was so knowledgeable. He made the ride interesting with the cultural influences he shared. Sexy Louis our driver did a great drive giving us a smooth and safe ride.

Phenomenal trip. Ricardo was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the history of Tuluum and the ruins. It made for a great experience
Cody_S, Feb 2026
Lalo was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Mayan history in a way that was easy to follow and interesting. Our group really enjoyed the experience.
Sexy Alfonzo got us there safely, and both of them were very friendly. It was a great tour overall.

It takes some time to get all group people. The trip to Tulum is very good. It is worth it and we do enjoy it.

Tulum was beautiful and I learned a good deal about the temples and the history of the area. Our tour guide Damian was knowledgeable, interesting, and adaptable. Even while dealing with logistical issues, he was a consummate professional and ensured that we were having a good time. I would recommend booking an early tour if you can so you can enjoy the ocean breeze before the sun reaches its zenith. That being said, there was still a good amount of shady spots throughout Tulum.

Great experience! Anna and her driver did an excellent job explaining the ruins and giving us a guided tour. Very professional team that made our tour wonderful. Highly recommend.

Lalu was very helpful and cheerful. The van was clean and comfortable. I wish I did not have to drive from Cancun to Playa del Carmen to meet the tour.

This was an ideal tour if you just want to visit the Tulum ruins. Collection from the hotel was on time and our tour guide, Cory, was excellent. We spent about 2 hours at the ruins, of which 1 hour was free-time, which was perfect considering the hot conditions. The tour could be improved if the number of participants was reduced. We had about 20 in our group and so it was difficult at times to hear our guide explain the details of the ruins. The tour is expensive when you take into account the $25 entrance fee, that is not included in the price of the tour.

Great guide but little Pricey. But overall great experience. History lesson on the Mayan and Aztec..
Ann_G, Feb 2026
Small group with excellent transportation, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, helpful snacks on the bus.
LisaMarie_M, Feb 2026
The experience was great but there was a payment scam to beware of. In the itinerary it clearly states "admission ticket included." However after I paid the trip in full in CND funds, they sent me an email stating that there will be an additional entry fee of $25 USD per person. This will be collected at the time of boarding the shuttle. This is false advertising!

Informative tour of Tulum ruins with knowledgeable guide. Dodge the salesmen on the way in and there are no free pictures with the animals
Jay_G, Feb 2026
Our tour guide, Raffull, was great. Very informative, very proud of his heritage and history. Only complaint is that I would have liked more free time at the ruins and less time at the gift shop. We are staying in Playa del Carmen and we took the ferry to Cozumel so we had enough shopping and we wanted to experience your wonderful culture.
Tanner_W, Feb 2026
Our tour guide, David M., was fantastic! Very informative and great at explaining the history and Mayan culture of the area. Transportation was also very good.

Excellent tour...lots of insights on the Ruins and tips on the outside Vendors. What to watch out for and what to look for.
Patrick_F, Jan 2026
We loved this experience for this historical information about the Mayan culture but also because we had a terrific guide named Erika whose father was of direct Mayan descendant. Both Erika and our driver Charlie/Carlos were incredibly friendly and fun. NOTE: This is another experience where you need to factor in 2 hours of transportation each way to/from Riviera Maya resorts in addition to the length of the actual tour.

Fun, Educational and information Awesome . Great guide. Great views. I will definitely recommend this
Kathy_K, Jan 2026
This is a waste of time and effort if you really want to learn about Tulum and explore the ruins. The guides were very nice but we were given a brief rushed overview of Mayan culture then had barely 45 minutes to battle all the other tour groups to see the actual sites. You’re better off going on your own

This tour was underwhelming. The tour guide was knowledgeable, but it's not a very good value. The time listed in the description is not accurate. Typically, Viator lists the full amount of time you're gone. With pickups, the group, and dropoffs, you're gone for more like 4-5 hours, which would be good to know if you have other activities planned.
Deborah_R, Jan 2026
Picked us up at our hotel. On time, courteous, informative, knowledgeable. Snacks and water were provided. Only 14 people in the group. Small group made the excursion more fun.
marc_l, Jan 2026
Great experience, great service. Bring your personal waterbottle. Disposables are banned. Overly touristy outside the actual park.
Matt_G, Jan 2026
Great tour! Lots of good information about the Mayan culture and ruins. Operator was friendly and accomodqying. One down side was that I booked this and paid the total only to find out that there was another $25 fee on top of the booking fee that was collected after pickup. I did not like that at all - felt like a shake down after the fact.
Amy_S, Jan 2026
Very good experience with this company and its guide! It was a great 1/2 day excursion and very interesting and picturesque!

Good choice because it is a short visit and the site is very hot. Bring your own reusable water bottle and leave any single use plastics in the vehicle. The only thing I would change is that there is no fruit as advertised and a little more shopping time would have been good.

When we arrived, we waited in line to get wristbands but the driver went to get them elsewhere while we dispersed in the store and can have a bathroom break. After the wirstbands were acquired, we had to wait in the same line again but this time to pay. We waited again for a 2nd wristband that had no explanation to it.
We were handed off to the tour guide who was great and knowledgeable, he would also walk us under the shade before doing his explanations to help us cool off. We had about 45 minutes to freely walk around afterwards, while this was enough time, I feel like if time was saved from getting the wristbands, we could've spent more time freely exploring. When we left, the driver had cold water bottles and towelletes, snacks and bananas.
When we arrived, it was probably around 10am and the crowds weren't too bad. By the time we left at 12pm, it was packed so I recommend to come here as soon as they open, with your own transportation if you can.

Organized, smooth with pickup and dropoff, and perfect amount of time. This tour was one of the few that were only 2 hrs long instead of 4 hrs, and, even though we received less cultural and historical background than I would have otherwise liked, it was hot and the amount of time was perfect for our family.
Basit_S, Jan 2026
Easy and reliable pick up from hotel zone. About 2.5 hr ride with stops for other passengers.
Really fascinating to see old ruins and hear about the cultural depth of many generations of civilizations there.
Beware vendors and food stalls on the way out. Pricey! Spent $160 on a quick taco lunch for 5. Very expensive

It was very enjoyable. Our guide Arun was fun and informative. Go early in the day as it gets very busy.
