We had a great time. Arun was our guide, very knowledgeable. We learned a lot and had fun. Nancy was our driver and she made sure we got there and back on time. If you want a stress free trip to Tulum I highly recommend going with Cancun Adventures. You have a knowledgeable guide, and an experienced driver.

The transportation was on time, well air conditioned and relatively comfortable,. The guide and driver were extremely courteous and took great cars of our group of 12. The guide, Cory, was terrific! It was an exceptionally hot day, and made every effort to help us get through it. Highly recommend!

Part of the challenge is the pickup process in Cancun - expect 1.5 - 2 hours just to pick up other guests. It didn't help that one of our pickups was nearly 15 minutes late and another group reserved 2 spots but turned up with 4 people. That caused us to have to change vans which added to the time. Not the fault of the company or guide - I just wish other people were more respectful of the process. Our tour guide Mika (sp) was very knowledgeable and informative. The site was extremely interesting to see. Thankfully we were provided umbrellas which helped with the 95+ degree heat and sun. Be prepared to pay the $35/per person for the entry fee that is not included in the cost of the tour.

Very good experience and a good length of day

Very good experience and a good length of day. We were picked up first so had to stop by the other hotels but this was quick and easy. The van was nicely air-conditioned which was pleasant and we were offered water and snacks along the way. Our driver (Erik) was very good and we felt nice and relaxed throughout the journey. We stopped briefly to collect the guide but this allowed us to go to the bathroom and freshen up as the journey is around 2 hours. When we got there we needed to dispose (or leave in the van) any single use plastics. This would have been good to know before travel however you can buy reusable water bottles in the shop when you go in for just $5 and they will fill it with filtered water for you. The experience around Tulum was really good, although very very hot. We were given umbrellas but I did also bring a portable fan which came in helpful. The guide Erika was very knowledgeable and fluent in English. She was also very good at finding shaded spots to stand whilst she gave us the tour. At the end of the tour (around 90 mins) we were given 30 mins of free time to explore the ruins ourselves and take some photos. We also found this a good opportunity to grab an ice cream and take in the scenery. When we got back on the van, we were given fresh cold water bottles and snacks and also a cool towel to put on our face or neck to help cool us down. This was a really lovely touch and a nice surprise as was not aware this was included. On the way back we stopped to drop off the guide and then continued to Cancun where we were dropped off around 2pm, just in time for lunch and the rest of the day enjoying the beach! A very good experience, would recommend.

Interesting Mayan historical site next to the ocean. Unfortunately you can’t walk on the ruins or go up the steps. It’s very hot in the summer months so bring water (plastic bottles not allowed)

Pickup was easy and on time, our driver Carlos made us feel safe and accommodated. The tour itself was great, Janos, our tour guide, was extremely intelligent and informative and we made great conversation with him before, during and after the tour. The ruins were absolutely amazing, we only wish we could’ve seen them at their peak. There was tons of beautiful flora and fauna including dozens of iguanas, we even saw a beautiful snake near the path! An excellent experience, highly recommended.

Experience was fine andnguide, Lalo, was great. However, advertising said the Admission was included. Beware! There's an additional $35 admission fee they don't tell you about until the day before the tour.

Amazing day at Tulum. It's a definitely must see for someone's lifetime

We only did the quick Tulum tour which was a couple hours but with pickups with other gas at Resort it took closer to 4hts but lots of fun. Lalo and Nes were great to go with. My wife and I learned so much about culture of the Mayans. I would highly recommend anybody that takes us to her request these two.

There is an additional charge that they claim is for tax money but it’s collected by the tour operator not an official government worker. Seems like a scam to get more money for the operator.

I made reservation for Tulum at 9 am, they never pick us up, we requested refund, but they refused to return my money back, I am not recommended use this company.

Watch the added fees

Read the find print one states there’s no extra fees. The other one states there’s a $25 fee contradicts itself. What a booked a different group tour guide was nice but we had one Spanish-speaking person in the group so he had to translate and it was distracting.

Worth the trip

Our guide, Yos, was excellent! A great ambassador for Mexico. She shared information about her home town, traditions/legends of the Mayan people, favorite foods, religious references and much history. The Tulum site itself was much more than I expected. A tiny city along a gorgeous lush coastline. It is quite a bus ride from Cancun. Travel time to/from Tulum takes just as much time as we spent at the ruins. But so glad we went. Definitely worth the visit!

Tulum was beautiful and I learned a good deal about the temples and the history of the area. Our tour guide Damian was knowledgeable, interesting, and adaptable. Even while dealing with logistical issues, he was a consummate professional and ensured that we were having a good time. I would recommend booking an early tour if you can so you can enjoy the ocean breeze before the sun reaches its zenith. That being said, there was still a good amount of shady spots throughout Tulum.

Tulum Mayan Ruins

This was an ideal tour if you just want to visit the Tulum ruins. Collection from the hotel was on time and our tour guide, Cory, was excellent. We spent about 2 hours at the ruins, of which 1 hour was free-time, which was perfect considering the hot conditions. The tour could be improved if the number of participants was reduced. We had about 20 in our group and so it was difficult at times to hear our guide explain the details of the ruins. The tour is expensive when you take into account the $25 entrance fee, that is not included in the price of the tour.

The experience was great but there was a payment scam to beware of. In the itinerary it clearly states "admission ticket included." However after I paid the trip in full in CND funds, they sent me an email stating that there will be an additional entry fee of $25 USD per person. This will be collected at the time of boarding the shuttle. This is false advertising!

Our tour guide, Raffull, was great. Very informative, very proud of his heritage and history. Only complaint is that I would have liked more free time at the ruins and less time at the gift shop. We are staying in Playa del Carmen and we took the ferry to Cozumel so we had enough shopping and we wanted to experience your wonderful culture.
