They upgraded me for free to the deluxe experience courtesy of two of people booking that option, so that was very nice of them! Overall, informative and enjoyable, great quality wines and food, plus the sommelier resisted the urge to talk about aromas and flavours and stuck to the facts.

This was a wonderful introduction to the phenomenal wines of Hungary! Not only did Balint provide an informative and delightful experience for all, I got to meet some wonderful fellow guests. The venue is a lovely and comfortable cellar. We tasted four whites (including a fabulous orange wine), three reds, and two sweet wines with a variety of cheeses and meats. I highly recommend this experience!
If you like wine and have some knowledge about it. You will love this tour. Bali was so good at explaining the history and wine regions. The wines were excellent. The choices were unique. I would highly recommend this tour.
The wine tasting was a well worth it experience. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions. There were only two of us so it felt like a private lesson! Also the wines were all quite tasty. I highly recommend this experience whether you are travelling alone or not.
Tamas is a vintner and so knowledgeable about Hungarian wines and wine growing regions. Our charcuterie plates were perfect complements to the delicious wines we tasted. He shared history and both wine and culinary expertise with us. We highly recommend this sophisticated experience!

What an interesting wine tasting! A map showing the wine growing regions, a lot of information and thoughtfulness from the guide, and really interesting Hungarian tastes complemented the tasting perfectly. I can't remember a more informative and fascinating tasting. This was such a wonderful and educational evening.
We loved everything about this experience. A small group of people in a cozy environment with an expert host imparting his vast knowledge of the regional wines. The cheese and local meats were a perfect accompaniment. Thankyou for a memorable evening
Great evening in a lovely venue learning about the history and wine making expertise across Hungary and sampling several excellent wines from various regions. Have enjoyed this experience twice and very likely to repeat for a third time when I next return to visit Budapest.

This was a really lovely intimate evening and a great way to meat people from others areas of the world. The experience from start to finish was amazing with having a very informative sommelier, through telling us the history of Hungary itself along with the making of their wine. Each wine was delicious along with its food paring and I couldn’t recommend this experience enough.
Thomas, sorry about the spelling of your name was a great wine expert. He taught us so much about Hungarian wines. I loved this experience. It’s more couples that go to this, but you can definitely do it solo

It was very informative and friendly, amazing experience! Tasted many wines red and white with generous pours.
This was a fun start to a Saturday evening out. I appreciate that the groups are small. As a solo traveler it made it very easy to chat with the other guests. The sommelier, Bolasz, was very knowledgeable but did not over complicate the tasting at all. The cellar setting is really nice. The charcuterie pairing was delicious as well! It’s a fun couple of hours, tasting delicious Hungarian wine, and making new friends.

Before anything else, visit it! You will not regret it. Perfect ambience, absolutely lovely people and an experience to remember.
During our visit to Budapest, we visited Taste Hungary twice! We initially went for a wine tasting, which Tomas led so beautifully that me and my partner, who go to wine tastings monthly, knew we wanted to come again immediately.
Tomas presented a selection of beautiful and delicious wines, all from tiny Hungarian producers, which gave us the opportunity to try wines and grapes we would never have otherwise, and that was such a beautiful night. This, however, pales in comparison to our next experience with them.
The following night we went to the Chef’s Table experience, which happens every Friday and is a 6 course dinner with 7 wine pairings.
Where do I start?
The Chef prepares the food mostly in front of you and the food was nothing less than magical. Once more, locally sourced from small producers and you can taste the freshness of all the dishes. It feels like being part of a top chef’s experiment, and it could not been better.
The wine pairings went so well together other guests gasped when it was revealed which dish would be served with the wine, exclaiming how perfect it would go together.
I can’t recommend this experience enough, it is worth every penny and more.
(Plus, they have a store with all the beautiful wines, bring an extra suitcase)
A fantastic evening. 8 wines in total and two farmer boards (one for the white wines another for the red wines) with high quality cheeses and meats. The wines are excellent and the host is a passionate sommelier. A must do when in Hungary, a country that flies under the radar with wines but holds it own against France, Spain, Italy and Australia at a fraction of the price. I
So much fun! My husband and I are not wine connoisseurs, but decided to try some wine while in Budapest. The food was so delicious and the wine was outstanding. I appreciated the history and culture presented.
Loved getting to taste and learn about so many wines, and the charcuterie was delicious too! Really appreciated the different pairings for red and white wines. Had a great time!
