This was such a fun experience and would recommend it to anyone who would love to immerse themselves into the night life of Budapest. Our tour guide, Bianka, was fantastic and took us to the local bars that had so much history. Also the food tasting was amazingly delicious. Highly recommended!!!

We met at the Dohany Synagogue. Zoltan was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. It was quite nice chatting with him. Nothing uncomfortable. We visited 3 bars. One was in a basement. Another was in the Karvana complex which houses many of these bars -- filled with music and people watching. The next stop was more in a local place which was very crowded but nice. We then got a Langos at Langos Bistro which was so yummy!
Zoltan was great and so were the places he took us to. However, for $125. 25 per person + $18 +$18 in ubers back in forth to our hotel -- I believe that cost was quite high for 1 langos and 6 drinks (of course plus the guide). A dessert and coffee stop would have been nice to include as well.

Myself and my husband booked this tour for our first night in Budapest. Our tour guide was Zoltan. He contacted me via what’s App with details of our meeting point. It was only the two of us as low season but we had a lovely evening. Zoltan is very easy to get along with, very knowledgeable and gave us lots of history and lots of information of places to eat etc.

Georgia truly is a gifted tour guide. We had fun in the ruin bars but also learned about Hungary’s history, language, and culture. She was an excellent planner with each location seemingly ready to absorb us each time we arrived. One of my favorite tours and tour guides.

Unfortunately we missed connecting with our guide and so missed out on the tour. The follow up by the company was understanding, courteous, and quick to offer another tour (which didn’t work because of timing) and so they provided a refund without a delay. Very much appreciated that kind of professionalism.

This was a fun and easy tour. Most of our group of 8 had not heard of Ruin Bars so it was a new experience. The 3 bars we went to were very different from each other which really let us see what ruin bars are and get a glimpse into Budapest nightlife. We were all seniors ranging from 60-68 and we loved this tour. Since the tour is in the Jewish section, we also got a bit of history on the synagogue and the holocausts impact.

The tour with Bianca was really enjoyable. She took us to places we wouldn’t have found by ourselves and shared her knowledge. She described the tour at the beginning as being introduced to the local party scene by a friend and the tour definitely felt that way. What a great friend to have met in Hungary. Thank you

Grrat explanation of how the Ruin bars developed. Bianca was very nice, spoke good English, and she was very informative. Snacks are not really provided. Before the end of the tour, we stopped for a Hungarian kind of small pizza pie...

This was such a fun and unique way to experience Budapest! We really enjoyed getting the local perspective on the food, and our guide Zoltán was both informative and helpful—he guided us through the menu at each stop and made sure we felt comfortable trying new things.
Our favorite stop was hands down Szimpla Kert, the city’s most famous ruin bar, which was even more incredible to experience with some background context. The mix of food, culture, and history made this tour a highlight of our trip.

Bianca was a wonderful guide on this quirky, unexpected tour. We learned about the socialist history of Budapest and the crazy idea of two university students to turn a decrepit old city building into a ‘Ruin bar’ sparking a movement. Fun way to learn about the city and enjoy some drinks in very different bars. Eat first as it’s not a dinner tour and the beers are big!
