What To Expect

Make your own way to Esterházy Palace, where you'll present a voucher for admission to the palace and an audio guide to the interior.

Follow audio narration as you visit each of the rooms: take in the gilded interior of the 19th-century, Empire style Empiresaal, a former palace banquet hall lit by elegant chandeliers. Learn the story behind the small and large Chinese salons, whose walls are hung with hand painted Chinese wallpaper, then take in the many styles of the palace chapel, which contains the reliquary of Saint Constantine.

The second part of the Esterházy Palace tour focuses on Haydn, who served the Esterházy princes for more than 40 years. Take in a series of interactive displays and exhibits that highlight Haydn’s early life, and how he emerged as a musical genius. See some of the composer’s personal artifacts, documents, and instruments, then enter the Haydnsaal, an elegant salon where many of Haydn’s pieces were first heard.

Beautiful romantic palace, amazing to visit and so much to see, lots of historical pieces to view and amazing scenery, the rose garden and hedge maze is 100% to visit!
