Don't trust the instructions to find the starting point for the tour. The instructions might say to proceed to a building "inside the main gate" to meet. What they really mean to say is to do a 2 minute walk after entering the main gate, going past the first building inside the gate (which is the ticket office), and proceed to enter the main entrance of the Palace. Once in the entrance lobby of the main palace none of we tourist milling and asking each other for advise, could find any sign of a tour meeting place. Only around 5:30 pm - which was 15 minutes after the tour was to start, and 30 minutes after we were advised to arrive, did a pair of guides set-up a floor sign saying meeting point. Then the rest of the evening was fine. We did seem to be rushed a little on the palace tour (probably to get back on schedule.)

The palace is lovely and the after hours tour was nice. I'm assuming we skipped a long line. However the meeting place was not described well. Inside the gate to the left of a huge court yard a palace was a terrible way to describe the meeting point. We had to ask a few people where to go. Just a few more sentences about going through the gate, all the way through the courtyard, go inside the tour office which is on the left of the main building entrance.. etc.
Also, we were told the tour started at 5. It started at 5:30, so we all just sat there waiting for 30 minutes for it to begin.
But, the tour was lovely.
As for the dinner, skip it!
Find a restaurant near by. The service was nice, but it was just in the cafe at the museum. The food was mediocre.
The music was by far the best part. A wonderful concert and in a beautiful part of the palace.
The whole tour was disconnected.

It was a wonderful introduction to vienns..
The schonbrunn palace was amazing followed by dinner at gestner.
We booked the VIP package and were seated in the first two rows which gave us wonderful seats to be entertained by the conductor and orchestra..
It was an enchanting evening.

We got to see the palace when it was empty. It was very nice to avoid the crowds. The dinner was very nice in an excellent restaurant on the palace grounds. The concert was the best.

Double check date!! The reservation was scheduled incorrectly for May 2. As you can see the tickets were not used because we were not there. We do not arrive in Vienna until May 13

Let me start out with the positives about this evening. The concert itself and the venue were absolutely stunning. The talent displayed was just fantastic. We upgraded to VIP to sit in front row. I’ve read if you sit to far back it’s tough to see since the level of seating is flat.
Another positive is you get access to to Palace after the crowds. It is a self guided informative tour with head set.
Perhaps a slight negative is don’t expect much for the dinner. The restaurant is on the huge palace grounds so it is convenient. If you like Cracker Barrel, the roast beef is on par with that.
Overall I recommend this highly if you want to kill a palace tour and concert. There is no other place to eat on the huge grounds.

We were 5 minutes late but felt like 30. So I don't know if the time was wrong or if it was really THAT punctual.
The tour/meal/concert was AMAZING!! Definitely made us feel like royalty. The concert was a little warm - which is hard to manage when it's cold outside and everyone is dressed in layers - just didn't feel appropriate to strip a layer off in such an elegant venue.

The whole evening made for a wonderful Christmas experience. We enjoyed the tour, the meal and the concert. One note - if you wear a coat you will be required to check it, which costs 1 Euro. On the whole, it was a lovely evening with exceptional music.

The reasons I give 3 stars are the following two:
1. There should be detailed directions and photos for the meeting point as well as for the opera building. Otherwise it's very crowded place and hard to figure it out .
2. The concert was a joke. The floor was not inclined and the chairs were aligned back to back. As a result you could not see anything. I left in less than 5 min.
If you ask me if I would do it again the answer is No.

Finding the meeting location is a challenge but the experience is fantastic. The tour of the palace was quick but informative. We went to the palace several hours before the tour began and were able to enjoy the Christmas market outside . The dinner was on the palace grounds, the waiter was very kind and attentive and the chef was able to provide a good gluten free meal. The concert was fabulous. VIP tickets gave us front row seats at the concert.

The experience was awful. The dinner included was beyond awful. The restaurant Joseph II did not have enough staff to handle the tour group.
We sat in the restaurant for over 45 minute's before we were served 1st course, lukewarm soup.
The wife’s meal, a grill chicken breast was served under cooked, the inside was red to pink, not edible.
The restaurant had other patrons, not from the tour, who served before the tour and the was empty by the time the tour left.
The concert and Schönbrunner was good, the meal and service at the made the night experience entirely distasteful.

The private tour of the castle was excellent although felt a bit rushed. The 3 course dinner was nice but the true highlight was the concert in the orangerie. If possible, get the VIP tickets so you can have better seats for the concert.

The tour of the palace was very short. The meal was average. The concert was very good. We didn’t expect opera and that’s not our thing, but the rest of the music was really terrific. The venue for the concert was also stunning.

Loved seeing the Palace after hours with no crowds. There was approximately 30 people in the group. We each received a listening device for the tour of the Palace, which lasted around one hour. Then we were escorted to the restaurant, which was next to the Palace. I had a vegetarian dish. My dish was jus ok. Nothing great. Everyone else had meat.
The concert was next to the restaurant. Total time was almost two hours with an intermission. The orchestra was amazing and the acoustics were great.
Overall an enjoyable experience.

Schonbrunn Palace is a must-see. But for that reason it can be quite crowded with selfie-takers and such during regular hours. This tour was a great way to experience the most important suite of rooms after the crowds had left. After the tour we had dinner in a restaurant on the place grounds. Dinner came with the ticket (drinks did not). It was good, nothing special though. After dinner we watched a concert in the Orangerie. We got the VIP option so we had front row seats. Concert was about 2 hrs total including intermission. Mozart first act and waltzs second act. Very good musicians who were obviously passionate about and enjoying what they do. All and all, well worth the money, highly recommended.

We arrived early & there was no signage on where to meet. Recommend leaving signs up so clearly delineated. Instructions were confusing. Even staff we asked thought they were confusing. No A/C in any of the venues, extremely hot day. We’re from S FL so we’re are used to heat & humidity.
Food was okay, roast beef was tasty as was the strudel, but servers were not overly friendly. Forgot to serve us our drinks, served soup before water. Overwhelming warm the entire time became nauseated from being over heated. Would have been nice to know as we could have dressed more comfortably. Concert was great, but had leave early due to heat. No air movement, was disappointed as this was one of our highlights of the trip.

The dinner was lovely and the concert was great fun. The VIP tickets for the lines during the concert and the first row seating made this event worth it. However, the tour of the palace was incredibly rushed. I haven't been on a regular tour of the place, but the one we were on felt very short and pushed through. It's a beautiful place and overall the package was worth it for everything else, but if we had more time I'd have wanted to take a regular tour as well to see everything that was missed.

Felt tour was rushed, dinner was ok, hot day with no fans or a/c, very uncomfortable in restaurant , music was beautiful but also uncomfortably warm in hall. Could not enjoy.

The concert itself was amazing. The orchestra, conductor and two opera singers were so talented it made for a memorable evening. We booked the private tour of the museum with dinner before the concert however did not really need to do the dinner. I would just do the concert only on any further visit as the dinner was quite expensive, even being charged for water. We had a prior visit to this museum so though the after hours tour was nice it was not necessary for us and having to be there at 5.00 pm was a bit of a rush. The night was very memorable and of course the surroundings magnificent.

1- the guided tour was good
2- the food course was tasteless, really bad. Beverages not included, even water.
3- seating for the concert was far behind without a music program which was also not included.
Of all my experiences this was a real rip-off.

However, we must clarify that on all platforms it is clearly communicated that beverages are not included, and in Austria, water is also not typically served for free at the table. Additionally, if you were seated farther back, it may have been because you purchased the C-ticket category, which is the furthest from the stage but also the most economical. If you wish to enjoy the concert closer in the future, we recommend purchasing any of the other three categories that are closer to the stage.
Regarding the music program, as with any classical music concert in Vienna, there is always an additional cost. We also regret that you did not enjoy the dinner; however, it is a traditional Austrian menu with high-quality ingredients, and we work with the best restaurants in the area, so we do not usually receive complaints about the menu.

The Palace staff were very helpful when 1 of our party was suffering and went off to get a wheelchair for us to use. It was a shame the restaurant was so far away, we took a while to get there and the guide had to go on ahead with the rest of the tour and come back for us. Dinner was very good and the waiters were very accommodating. The concert itself was very good
