Our driver Umer was punctual, knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time at all stops. Very nice and clean vehicle. Great mix of nature and temples/shrines in a casual pace. One stop out/one stop back at top notch locations. Would recommend lunch being arranged earlier than 3:45pm and a more Japanese experience rather than a cafeteria.

Response from Host, Oct 2026

Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your day with Umer and appreciated his punctuality, knowledge, the clean and comfortable vehicle, and the relaxed pace of the tour. We’re especially glad you enjoyed the balance of Nikko’s beautiful nature, temples, and shrines. We also appreciate your helpful suggestion regarding lunch timing and the type of dining experience. We’ll certainly take this feedback into consideration to make the experience even better for future guests. Thank you again for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back to Japan for another memorable journey!

This time of year, the drive time to and from Tokyo is closer to four hours rather than the two hours described in the marketing materials. Our tour guide, JJ, did a wonderful job under difficult circumstances.

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that JJ did a wonderful job and was able to provide a positive experience despite the challenging travel conditions. We understand that travel times to and from Nikko can vary significantly depending on the season, traffic, weather, and road conditions. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will continue working to ensure our tour information sets clear expectations for our guests. Thank you again for choosing our Nikko Private Tour, and we hope to welcome you back to Japan in the future!
