We had a fantastic day touring the Mt Fuji region with the wonderful Ali. He picked us bang on time from our hotel and was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. His driving was impeccable through busy Tokyo rush hour and was a great host throughout the day. He took us to all the areas were keen to see and we had the perfect amount of free time. Ali really made the trip today, so relaxed and friendly, it just made the tour so relaxing and enjoyable for us. I’d highly recommend this tour and particularly Ali if you’re considering visiting Mt Fuji. Thanks Ali for making it such a special day for us!

The driver Mr. Ali was on time, very polite and friendly, he showed us many beautiful and interesting places in fuji mountain area. This area is beautiful, but you should be lucky to see mount Fuji, what we had not because of bad weather.

Ali was a great host- safe driver, taught us interesting things and helped ensure we would see all the key spots we wanted to cover in the one day.
There is no way we would have visited every place we stopped if we were part of a big tour group. Ali’s customized tour was perfect for us. Would highly recommend.

Our Trip to Fuji and Hakone with Ali as our Guide and driver was amazing, 100% recommend. Not only were the selected spots very unique (i.e. visiting the active volcano in Hakone), and having the best view to Mount Fuji at the Oishi Flower park, also our Guide Ali was great. He was very organised, good planning skills, and reliable. But also going the extra mile to do whatever „make his Clients happy“ as he says. He gifted our Family the famous black eggs, took Time to do an amazing portrait of me in the flower Park (he has good photography skills!), and had an answer to literally any question relates to the visiting areas for us. Good conversations in the car. And completely adjusted to our preferred timing for every spot. Thank you Ali for this unforgettable trip!

Ali met with us first thing in the morning in front of our hotel at 8:30AM. There was no need to meet up at a certain location. We discussed about the places we wanted to see and alternatives. Ali was very knowledgeable and gave interesting facts about the places we visited as well as restaurant recommendations. For the whole morning, the tip of Mt Fuji was covered with clouds. Finally, the tip showed up at our last stop in Chureito Pagoda. We were able to see a lot with a private tour and go at our pace versus a typical bus tour. Thank you so much!

Rana was helpful, flexible, took lots of pictures for us, and explained elements of Japan history and culture to us. Overall, it was a good experience even if we didn’t quite get to see Mt. Fuji in its entirety due to the weather.

This is a beautiful and breathtaking tour, but I understand that Mt. Fuji is sometimes not visible. The ride is about 1.5-2 hours each way, but well worth it.
I’m not giving this tour 5 stars because our driver was a crazy driver and felt unsafe at times. He did adjust his driving once we told him to slow down.

This was an experience of a lifetime. Asif was our tour guide and he was so kind and made our tour one to remember forever. We really appreciated him and would recommend a tour with him to any of our friends. He educated us and even took photos for us! He made sure we saw the best spots and helped us avoid crowds. The tour guide is a liar. He never responded to my email from the night before. The morning of the tour date, our parties were in the lobby 15 minutes prior to the pick up time and waited a total of 40 minutes but no one showed up. Our hotel receptionists staff also helped us look for a tour guide but no one was there from Tokyo top travel or Viator staffs. This will be my last booking with Viator, since unreliable company such as Tokyo top travel, who couldn’t provide the service advertised but will have no problem keeping my money. Karma will seek its resolution.

a long ride but two things made it all worthwhile. first, after 3 days of clouds and rain, we had a perfect cloudless sunny day! second, the ride was made more enjoyable by our guide/driver, Ali. he told us what to expect, the traffic jam we hit, and prioritized activities which gave us the best views of mt. fuji.
we saw it from the shore, lots of tourists, saw it from the lake in a speedboat, just us, and the pagoda, only those willing to climb 400 steps up a steep hill. the vistas were postcard specials. we skipped the ropeway, ali said the wait was 60 minutes and no wait at pagoda.
for lunch, he asked us what we wanted and drove us to a place away from the throngs of tourists for a quiet unhurried lunch. the drive back was faster as there was no traffic jam but we fell asleep nevertheless.
oh yeah, one last thing. our tour was scheduled to start at 830am but ali texted me the night before to suggest leaving at 7am to beat the crowds. smart move by ali, who does this tour everyday and he knew that day would be jammed because it was a sunny day preceded by many cloudy days so a logjam of tourists wanting to go. thanks ali.

Fantastic and immediate response to my questions before the trip.
On the day our guide, Ali, was very well prepared for organising our trip to Mt. Fuji. We were aware that the tour may be a challenge because it was happening in the middle of a typhoon and many trips were being cancelled.
When he met us at our hotel he already took into consideration the weather and consulted his colleagues on the conditions and what was available.
Then we planned the journey together. He was full of suggestions on where to go once he found out what we expected from our tour.
We were pleasantly surprised by Ali’s knowledge of the area, geography, the history and culture of Japan. It was very clear to us that he was prepared to be our guide very well.
His English was excellent and he communicated in Japanese with ease.
Thanks to his quick thinking and planning we managed to see Mt Fuji from three different angles. The majestic Mountain emerged like a giant from between the rainy clouds, the vistas were stunning, food recommended by Ali was brilliant!
A few words about the car we travelled in: clean, roomy and very comfortable. Both of our children, of elementary school age, found the trip exciting and this is type of travelling not tiring.
Definitely money well spend who has children of our age, who want to avoid all the hassle of travelling in a crowded bus or train and who don’t want to loose precious time when exploring such a vast area as the Mt Fuji is.
What more can one expect from tour like this?
I doubt it very much one could see more in one day. Bravo!
