We had an amazing experience on our Mt. Fuji private tour with Viator! Our driver, Lookman, was fantastic. He suggested several great spots along the way that we wouldn’t have known to visit on our own, and every stop was absolutely on point.
We also got incredibly lucky with the weather and were able to see Mt. Fuji clearly, it was such an unforgettable and beautiful sight!
Lookman was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable about the area, which made the whole day even more enjoyable. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan. It’s a wonderful way to experience Mt. Fuji comfortably and see some great hidden spots along the way.

We had a beautiful day to enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji, Shrines, parks, and the waterfalls. Jack was a great guide and driver who was able to pack in all the requested sites. He did an excellent job in explaining what we were going to see as well as some history about the area, making the trip all the more enjoyable.

On our spectacular Mt. Fuji tour, we went to many sites that had amazing views of the mountain, along with a peaceful Shinto shrine. Some highlights included a pagoda that towered over Fuji and eight incredibly clean and clear ponds associated with Japanese legends. We learned a lot from our guide, Aki, who drove us to each site. We could talk about anything with him related to Japan, and he told us engaging and funny stories. Thank you so much, Aki!

I am currently in the car back from this tour and wanted to make sure I rated it highly before forgetting. For the first half of the trip we visited some of what seemed like standard tourist destinations around the mountain, they were extremely beautiful (there’s a reason they’re standard!) but quite crowded. In the afternoon I asked for us to detour to a beautiful, off the beaten path spot I read about which was just incredible. Our driver rolled with it and made the change work. I can’t imagine our trip to Japan without a day trip like this, and they did a great job making it memorable and unique. Five stars for sure.
