The most memorable part of this day was being able to wear a kimono and a yukata for my husband. When coming to Japan especially the first time, you must experience this kimono wear! Walking around Asakusa, touring around Sensoji Temple and embracing Japan's history will truly leave a mark memory on you!
Alisa was super helpful, very kind and patience along with the staff who helped us put on the kimono and yukata. Everyone was super helpful and we felt so comfortable. Alisa will tour with you and share get areas to take photos of you and they turned out really good!
Despite it was rainy and windy on the day, we managed to continue to take fantastic photos, tour around the temple and enjoying the local area. Please ensure what ever weather you will be attending be sure you are weather prepared! It rained on and off that day but it was okay.
Plus size woman! Please know I booked this experience 2-3 weeks prior to our trip. If you are a 3XL (CAD or USD) please be sure you check your measurements accordingly! I got myself measured at a tailor prior everything. Alisa did her research and contacted another kimono place that had my size (it was between purple or pink = both colors were amazing) and pink. It was a special day alone because we were celebrating our Honeymoon pictures and both my husband and I loved it! Only thing was, I must let people who are on the bigger size, it may be a little tight in some areas (for me under the breast/stomach area) and for my husband under his waist was a little tight but if you can endure it for 3 hours (like us) you will be okay!
Also take great care of these kimono, avoid staining and damaging any of these kimono's and yukata because you will get charged. I was so worried because of the rain but it was okay! It kept us warm and at times kind of sweaty! So plan accordingly when experiencing kimono wearing! You won't regret it :)
LASTLY, you have to ask Alisa the popular pineapple bun~! Such a nice treat especially when it's freshly baked!

I thoroughly enjoyed the plus size kimono experience with Alisa. She was kind enough to wait for me when I got a little lost on the way to her, and once I arrived, it was magical what unfolded!
We went to an intimate kimono shop where I was able to pick every single layer of my kimono as well as an endless amount of accessories, handbags and adornments.
She answered all my questions about the culture while we enjoyed a stroll through the Sensō-ji temple area and took loads of pictures and videos. We even stopped for food with the vendors and she ate some delicious takoyaki with me!
If you are a plus size curvy cutie, I can’t recommend this experience enough! The options were endless and the expertise was amazing. And more over, Alisa’s kindness and caring nature made the experience all the more better. 10/10 would do again!

I did a solo trip to Japan back in October and renting a kimono was on my list of things to do. Since I’m plus size I was worried about whether or not I would be able to find a place that had kimonos that would fit me. Luckily Alisa (Nico Japan Tour) popped up as a suggestion. Alisa takes you to your kimono rental place and helps translate for you. She also takes you around and helps take pictures for you. She knew where all the cute instagram worthy photo spots were at too. It was nice to have her service has a guide for a few hours while sightseeing, especially since I was traveling alone. Definitely recommend her service. Thanks Alisa!!!

I had the best day ever, because I never knew I could wear kimono in my size. Even tho it was unbelievbly hot and humid it was a great experience with Alisa. When I wore the kimono I felt like a princess and after seeing the pictures I felt so beautiful. Thank you Alisa so much!

WOW! this was such a wonderful Japanese culture. Alisa and the team were incredibly nice. I learned so much and didn't feel embarrassed to ask any questions.
It only took 45 minutes wear kimono and hair set, she made fine adjustments according to my big body shape.
Above all, I was able to wear a kimono that I had given up on.
It remains in my heart with the photo.
Alisa, I'll definitely come back for the YUKATA in summer : )

poor organization and, in the end, the activity did not take place.
The €81 was indeed debited.
Here is what happened.
two days before, and the day before, I had received a "ticket" from Viator to remind me of the event, with very precise GPS coordinates, pointing to Asakusa station. I had spotted it beforehand, and I had just said to myself: it's a strange idea to meet in a Tokyo station (they are all huge). in addition, this station has a particularity: there is not one, but TWO asakusa stations. they are 20 minutes walk apart! well, I'll give it to you: the person was waiting for me at the OTHER station. first of all, I arrived at the exact GPS point given by the message. seeing no one, I called the telephone number (which is complicated because I don't have an international plan... probably a big billing for me). the person said to me: "which exit are you at? 1? manage to get to 4, ask the station staff." already there, I thought that she could also join me. getting around the stations for a tourist is a headache. Besides, I couldn't find anyone to give me information, no exit 4, only exit 2. I called her back. and asks him to join me. on the phone, she was starting to get angry. she told me she had sent me a message on viator. Already, I receive a lot of messages from viator. and I checked: the last 3 messages are all the same: "download the event ticket", with the coordinates of where I was. she calls me again a little later: “I’m at exit 2, where are you?” I told her that I wasn't so sure if I was at exit 2. She said to me: "at this exit, there is a restaurant and shops"... uh... like EVERYWHERE in Tokyo? I see a neighborhood map, which indicates where I am, and I send him the photo by email. she calls me back, furious: “you are not in the right place, take a taxi and join me!” . I didn't understand that we weren't at the same station... I told her that it would be simpler if she was the one to meet me. “in that case, you pay me the taxi.” . .
There, I had a click : even if we managed to find each other again (after a lost hour), this moment would be horrible. I told him we were giving up, and I went back to the hotel. bad organization, bad feeling, bad person.
I would like to say that the day before, I had another activity. the person warned me the day before on WhatsApp that she had moved to another neighborhood, an address that was difficult to find. did I accept? Yes. did I find it? Yes. did it go well? Yes. to say that I am a kind and flexible person.
In any case, I do not recommend this activity.

Check it again please. "1-1-3 Asakusa" is definitely the address of the Ginza subway station, and in addition to the subway, there is Asakusa station on the Tobu line, but I sent an e-mail to remind them that this is incorrect. But you came to a wrong station. I ran looking for you and by the time I found out you were wrong, an hour had already passed. Although it was far away and I was already an hour late, I told you that I would wait, so please come to the meeting place. She said a guide should come pick me up. Since we didn't have much time left and it would be a ross of time, I asked her to take a taxi, but she refused. It states that if you are late for a meeting time, I will wait up to 10 minutes. But even after that, I waited and did my best, but she said she was tired and that was enough, so I canceled on the day.
Of the more than 100 guests I've had so far, no one has ever met at the wrong meeting place. This is because I have sent detailed instructions via email. I have also given options for her. But she refused, so I doesn't think needs a refund. I was not angry at all and calmly explained that the meeting place was exactly as written. I am very sad your misunderstanding and review.
