We had Margeride as our guide for a private tour, she was wonderful, very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The tour started a bit later than the booking time but she kept us informed of the delay and gave us a lot more time at the end. She also took pictures of us throughout the excursion which was wonderful since my husband is not usually on the pictures. It was a great experience, I highly recommend this tour and Margaride.

Felipe is an excellent and personable tour guide! He truly customized our tour to meet our desired needs. He was extremely knowledgeable in the history and culture of Sintra and Cascas, which helped enhance our visit. In addition, he navigated the difficulties of heavy traffic to make our experience very enjoyable. At the end of the day, we felt like we were saying goodbye to an old friend. I have already recommended Felipe to two other couples that we have met on our cruise.

More driving than exploring

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. However, this tour was heavy on driving and most sites were seen out a car window. There was not a lot of time to walk or explore the things we were seeing. So for people who like to wander a bit more and explore a bit more deeply, this probably isn’t the right tour for you. However for those who want to walk very little and would enjoy the afternoon driving down the coast, this would be fine.

As you well say, there was not a lot of time to explore. Half day tours have this inconvenient. It shouldn't work as an excuse, but it's a fact.
