Guide was super. Helped me with the hike up. Had a lot of time to explore n take in d beauty. Guide knew exactly the amount of time to spend with us n when to leave us alone.

We were called 3 days before the tour to say it wasn’t available on the day we booked. They didn’t explain why or even apologise, they just asked us what other days we could do, luckily we could go the day before. Once we were on the tour, we had an amazing day, the scenery is mind blowing!

Our guide was great and a skilled driver. However, the trip got off to a rocky start because we had to wait an extra 45 minutes for our bus. The bus wasn’t available and someone called out sick, so there was no driver and an alternate had to be called in. Once we got on the road, it was nice.

Very nice a day long trip. We had enough time in Landmannalaugar. After reached submit of Lavgavegur, we had lunch, and spent over an hour in hot-spring bath. The guide was very nice to take care every one in the group, provided many knowledge about areas. The driver drived very smoothly. Even 6 hours round trip, half on bumpy F-road, but we were very relaxing. Highly recommend this tour if you visit Iceland in the summer.

Our tour guide Sarah was wonderful, as was the hiking, despite the terrible circumstances. The company sent her out with a bus that had a broken sound system, a part dangling at the entrance which people kept hitting their heads on, a front door that was malfunctioning, and most serious and reprehensible of all, a leaky tire that the company knew about two days prior. When Sarah called to let them know about the tire, they said they left a pump and just to pump it up, despite the fact that we were to be traveling on a rough and unpaved road. She called in the problem at 10:30 am, at our first stop. We traveled about a half hour, pumping the tire three times before the juice on the pump ran out. There was no spare tire and we were stranded with a broken door by the side of the road, in the rain. She had to argue with them to send a new vehicle, which did not arrive until 4:15 pm. She arranged transport to us to a hotel 15 minutes away with the aid of park rangers. She was determined for us to salvage some of the day, so we took a different road to the hiking site (and it was truly shocking that the company was willing to risk sending us on such a road with a tire problem) and we went for a stunning hike--one of the best I've ever taken. Aside from our initial stop at a waterfall, we did not do any of the other promised activities due to waiting 6 hours for a new bus. I have nothing but good things to say about her and the part of the itinerary we completed, but I was apalled by the recklessnes and disregard of the company, which also refused to compensate us for all the lost time, and for completing only 2 parts of the itinerary.

The trip was canceled and we were not notified. After waiting in the col for 90 minutes, we called the tour operator who claims we were notified. No call, no email, no text message were received. We need a refund!!!!!

We always notify our customers regarding any cancellations. Our process includes sending an email notification first. If we do not receive a reply, we follow up with a phone call. If there is no answer, we then send a text message. It's possible that our email went into your spam folder, which may explain why you did not receive it. We call the phone number registered on the booking. If that phone number is not in use we unfortunately don't have any way of calling the customer.
Regarding the trip to Landmannalaugar, the road is still closed, and we are unable to go against national guidelines for safety reasons. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused you.

My order was cancelled, but Viator did nothing. There was no email or text message to inform me, so I had to wait for an hour in the level 6 cold wind in Reykjavik! I contacted viator 's customer service in the cold wind, and the customer service asked me if I was waiting in the wrong place and asked me to continue waiting! At the same time, the supplier bustraveliceland told me that the trip had been cancelled a long time ago, and viator had not informed me in time.This is extremely irresponsible corporate behavior. At the same time, due to the delay in notifying the information, I was unable to participate in any other tourism projects that day, which wasted my precious time in arriving in Iceland at a huge cost. The company also refused to compensate me for their mistake, which is very disgraceful. Please also keep your eyes open and avoid profiteers.

The Haifoss waterfall was everything and more that I hoped for. The 90 min hike in Landmannalaugar was fabulous… we experienced 3 seasons during the hike :). Our tour guide “HBO” was terrific! Very informative about the sites we visited, the history of Iceland’s settlement and geology.
And I was totally glad he was driving given the F road conditions!! Please note, I do not hand out high praise readily, but this is well deserved!

The bus broke down while returning from Landmannalaugar. The tour guide Beggi did excellently well to keep the moral of the group high while we waited for the other bus to come. So 10/10 points to him.
But poor on bustravel icelands part, that we had to wait 5 and half hours for the bus,when we were only 2 hours away from Reykjavík.
