Our tour was fantastic. The guide, Sergey, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience fun and memorable. We learned so much and saw some incredible sights. We highly recommend this tour.

Sergey was excellent. This tour did not disappoint. The falls are magnificent. Sergey was very helpful with the needs of my handicap husband- belong to get the walker/wheelchair out of the car constantly. The South coast tour is our favorite but this is a wonderful second! (The only drawback to this tour is that we had to pay an extra $200 to be picked up near the airport whereas our south coast tour was only $30 more for the tour and we did not have to pay the extra $200 to be picked up. We do understand the cost of a taxi, but it was difficult to pay the extra $200 when another tour company picked us up at the Airport Courtyard for a private South Coast tour and their tour as for a longer day.)

The tour was very expensive and was not the experience we were looking for. We did see the sites and Simon was a nice person. When we got to the waterfalls he told me I shouldn’t go to the lower area to see the falls as my shoes and pants would get very wet and he didn’t want me to get sick. We did do the walk out (very glad We did) and did not wet at all. He told us there were no restaurants they were all booked and he couldn’t get any reservations. So our only option was to eat at Geysir Glinda at 11 am. The soup there was good but not a lunch experience. We felt like he did the tour but wanted to be done. We were back at our hotel in 5 hours. We were also told there would be a luxury vehicle and it was a not, it was a smaller car. It was definitely into what we paid for.

Our tours are operated exactly as described: transportation in a comfortable premium class vehicle (never advertised as a luxury car), lunch not included, and guides are not required to make restaurant reservations — though they’re always happy to suggest options. Safety advice, such as avoiding certain paths, is given to protect our guests’ health and comfort. Tour length depends on the activities guests choose to include.

Our tour started with our guide unable to start his car because of a dead battery. So, we waited 1 hour for to him to get a replacement car, which was much less comfortable, and not a premium car.
He did take us to all of the stops on the planned itinerary, all of which we enjoyed. He kept to the schedule we expected, including making time for lunch, at the hour we requested. He also provided an additional stop, to make amends for our initial inconvenience. Nevertheless, I think our guide became somewhat bored with the tour, as the day went on. He seemed gradually, less enthusiastic, and ready for the tour to end. Perhaps he was tired. I don’t know. When we arrived back at our hotel, he stayed in the driver’s seat, like a taxi driver, and gave us the impression, that the tour was over, and we should just leave. Considering the price of the tour, I expected more.

Unfortunately, on the morning of your tour, the guide’s vehicle had a dead battery, and no identical replacement vehicle was available at that moment. We arranged for a substitute as quickly as possible so your tour could still go ahead without being canceled. While the replacement car was less comfortable than the original, we wanted to ensure you could enjoy your day as planned.
By the end of the tour, your guide was running a fever of nearly 104°F and wasn’t feeling well, but still completed the full itinerary and even added an extra stop for you. The reason he didn’t step out of the vehicle at your hotel was that the drop-off point was directly next to a busy roadway with no parking available nearby. He wanted to make sure you were dropped off quickly and safely without creating a traffic hazard.
We’ve already discussed the situation with him to ensure that, even in unusual circumstances, the end of a tour will feel warmer and more personal.

Sergey, our guide, was very informative and had planned a great itinerary. The day included a combination of sightseeing, walking, and a short hike to the Gullfoss. We even made a short stop to pet some Icelandic horses. Highly recommend. This was way nicer than the typical cruise excursion.

We loved our tour of the Golden Circle! Sergey worked around our schedule and we saw things at our own pace. I was pleasantly surprised that he took many awesome pics of us. Also: the guy specializes in fun facts. As we drove, it was great to learn about Iceland’s history, geology, economy and food culture. Plus he recommended a hike for the next day that blew our minds. We had a great time on the private Golden Circle tour! George picked us up from our hotel in a nice, clean BMW and took us to each one of the sites mentioned while providing a bit of humor and commentary/education along the way. We also had a great lunch stop at the Tomato Farm which was a gorgeous place with fresh food, drinks, and even a tomato beer. Gullfoss Falls was the highlight of the day - the weather was beautiful and it was great that we were able to experience such an amazing place. Easy 5 Star rating and would highly recommend. George was such a great host - super cool and knowledgeable. Thanks again to him for a great experience during our trip to Iceland!

Outstanding experience! Sergei met the three of us at our hotel on schedule and we spent six hours in a comfortable car doing the Golden Circle tour. One of the best things about the tour was Sergei’s commentary and his willingness to accommodate our particular interests and preferences. The weather did not cooperate entirely, but we saw the sites and learned a great deal about Iceland and its people. An excellent time was had by the three of us.

Having never been to Iceland before , we decided to go on a private tour and it was certainly the right decision. George picked us up at the hotel right on time and we had an amazing day.
Because we were the only ones, he customized the tour for us. We got to see everything we wanted, stopped for a nice lunch, and even drove around the city center a little.
All in all, it was a great day and I would highly recommend it.
