Best highlights of area and a good pace not too rushed but tomato farm a waste of time. Guide pleasant but some of other travelers didn't speak English and got lost for a while and guide yelled us for being annoyed as she insisted we be on bus and missed a waterfall and then sat on bus a half hour waiting for lost passengers

The tour itself was great. Our tour guide was Sebastián. Sebastián was very informative and helpful throughout the tour. All the locations were wonderful to visit and see. Very worth it! The only disappointment was the tomato farm. We spent 10 minutes at the tomato farm, enough to use the restroom and leave. It would have made the trip complete if we would have had the opportunity to have lunch there as advertised.

We were under the impression that the mini bus was 8-10 people. This one had 19.. it worked fine thought. Our guide was fantastic.

Our guide Sebastian was knowledgeable, fun, intelligent, helpful and an unexpected surprise. A whole day of touring went by, and it was great. We continued to be grateful for him that evening when we went to dinner at a restaurant he suggested. Hope you are lucky enough to get Sebastian on your tour!!

Lots of solo travelers. I was by far the oldest . It was interesting as at least 6 nationalities were included, but English was the common language we used to communicate with each other.

Such a great variety of sights and activities. Recommend this tour sooo much! If icy, bring crampons.

Fantastic!! Guide very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the tomato soup. Bus was comfortable. Only 16 in the group so plenty of room. Never felt rushed at any of the sites.
Linda_W, Aug 2024
It turned out not being a small tour. The tour started late. No water was provided. Took is to a place for lunch, nothing was included and a bowl of soup was $23.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Dear Linda
We want to thank you for your review. But your grievances are not in line with the description of the tour.
1. The tour is advertised as a Golden Circle tour in Mini Bus. It does not say small tour anywhere.
2. We never provide water on our tours. We do that because we feel that having non reusable water bottles on our tours for all our clients to be very wasteful. Most clients bring their own water in re-useable water bottles and refill during the tour.
3. Our vehicle for the day was a 21x seater Mercedes Sprinter Minibus with 19x passenger seats. We had 18x passengers booked. The bus is of course almost full, but not packed and not full.
4. We clearly state in our description that the tour starts at 9am, and pickup is from 8:30 to 9am. According to our data you stepped on our minibus at 8:56am. That means we were not late, you were early.
5. There is no indication that the lunch is included. We even state clearly that it is NOT included. And we took you to Friðheimar Farm, and our guests get a guided introduction through the green house and the local produce they use for the restaurant. It is not just a place where bowl of soup is 23$. It is a destination.
6. Our guests vary and many of them want to have the time to themselves to enjoy the sights and our guides give people the time to enjoy the stops without a guidance. The guide of course uses the time well between stops to inform the guests about the stops.
With all these considered we hope you can reconsider your 1x star review. We did nothing wrong here and delivered the product as described.

Our guide, Al was wonderful, told us lots of history and pointed out areas of interest. We loved the huge waterfall! We had adequate time at each stop and Al told us the best place to see the attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and it was great value for the money. Not as many tours stopped at the tomato farm which we had read a review of and wanted to see.

Saevar was a great storyteller, knowledgeable and very personable. We had plenty of time at all the stops. Don’t miss lunch at the tomato farm!

It was the perfect Golden Circle itinerary! All the natural sites were spectacular and the dairy farm and tomato farm stops were also fantastic! Halli was a great guide and truly made the day with all the history and information he shared along the way. Highly recommend this tour!!

Organized, reliable and friendly driver/ guide, this was a great way to see the highlights of the Golden Circle. Visiting the tomato farm was a bonus as the food there (lunch not included) was delicious and a great way to relax and see the operations of a local business. EastWest is very communicative, sending information about car with license and driver name prior to the tour.
We even booked a second Northern Lights tour with the same company and that was a success as well.

Our tour guide Halli was AMAZING. Born and raised in Reykjavík, he pointed out the school house his mother was born in and told numerous personal stories about Reykjavík's urbanization. When I mentioned that I'm interested in genetics, he showed me his family tree dating back to 1207 or his 22nd great-grandfather. He was happy to answer any questions we had, and told us stories about the elves, trolls, and hidden people of Iceland.

Byorn Julius Grimson (sp) was wonderful. Funny, informative a true delight for a fabulous tour. Lunch was delicious and the day was fabulous.
SALLY_N, May 2023
Our guide Al was terrific! Learned a lot about the area saw so many different natural features and experienced different landscapes. You can see so much outside of Reykjavík… a totally different feel from the city.. without worrying about driving!

Excellent tour guide and a beautiful tour. The lunch (pasta with tomato sauce) was exquisite. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience for our family! Our guide Carlos was amazing. I appreciated that the tour company went above and beyond to accommodate us with young kids, being in touch in the morning when they were coming and making sure the morning pickup was smooth. Carlos brought the sites to life and made it very interesting. There were lots of stops for kids to get out, use bathrooms and get snacks etc. We especially loved seeing the tomato farm.

We had a wonderful outing with Leroy as our guide. He was very entertaining and informative. He took great pictures of us and had a wonderful attitude. He was so patient with everyone and always chipper. The mini bus is a new Mercedes van with USB cords and very clean. We enjoyed the lunch at the tomato farm on the stop at the dairy farm for delicious ice cream and cappuccino.
Cecilia_D, Jun 2022
Our guide Leroy was the best! So full of energy and so enthusiastic. He explained a lot about Islands history and how it works today. Bonus except Golden tour was to visit the tomato farm and se the new built power plant from outside.
Ian_J, Mar 2022
Sadly we had to wait 45 minutes in terrible weather for bus to arrive as they had waited for people who weren’t ready so they were delayed! There is no shelter at stop 14 so we were soaked ! We never really dried out as the weather was dreadful . This also meant the views weren’t as good as could have been . The driver did his best and in decent weather this obviously is a spectacular trip, so it wasn’t really the company’s fault except why wait for people who are not ready when we are all given pick up times ! Also the mini bus is cramped for 19 people with wet /warm thick clothes. It would be better if there were empty seats to put wet coats etc

I waited until the end of my vacation to join a Golden Circle tour. I was fortunate to have a great guide, scenic surroundings and the majestic Gullfoss waterfalls was the highlight of my trip. As an added treat, we stopped at a greenhouse for lunch and I highly recommend the tomato soup with homemade bread and burrata.

This was an excellent tour and we had an excellent tour guide (Hawk). We have been on many tours in several countries and this tour and tour guide was one of the best. Wish we could give him a few more stars!!!! It was a great tour that visited several areas on the Golden Circle. It gave us a lot of information and a good taste of the country. Iceland is a great country to visit and the Golden Circle is a good way to experience it.
David_W, Oct 2021
Our Driver was great, all the stops were fun, water falls. National park, lunch was fantastic in the tomato green house, the horse stables, geyser was very interesting and plenty of time to see everything
Betty_W, Sep 2021
This tour was the most fun and interesting day we had in Iceland. Our tour guide was fun, personable, entertaining and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the sights he took us to. But with only 8 of us, he was also willing to add a stop we requested to see the Icelandic horse up close, and gave us the option of which route to take back to the city. He also dropped us off very near our hotel. The information was misleading about "refreshments" at the meeting area - it was only coffee and candy bars. But there were opportunities for snacks later and a good lunch (and shopping). It was a relaxed and enjoyable trip as we basically could choose how long to spend at each stop.
Isabelle_N, Sep 2021
Such a great experience! Our tour guide was so lovely and informative, not only about the sites but about so many other interesting facts about Iceland. There was plenty of time at each site. There were only 5 of us on the tour so it was almost like a private trip. Really so brilliant and absolutely worth doing it with these guys if you can.
Dan_B, Mar 2020
Fantastic tour. We booked late the night before, but got a call first thing in the morning to confirm pick-up time.
Gudni (sorry if ive butchered your name!) met us with a smile and was brilliant the whole way round. He broke up the tour with interesting information about everything we saw, including buildings still within Reykjavik itself.
Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Siggi was a great tour guide. Great personality. Length of the tour was perfect. Pickup was on time. Visited great sites.
Thomas_C, Jan 2020
Our driver and guide, Berglind, was funny, interesting, and informative. We learned a lot about Iceland and the sites that we visited. If you do one tour in Iceland, the Golden Circle would be it. This GeoIceland Tour is more personal than a large bus tour and costs the same. Great company, lots of fun.
Carlos_Y, Jan 2020
Great tour, I took it with Becka (I am not sure if her name in icelandic is writen like that, but she is also known as Queen B). I have to say that despite in december there is only five hours of day light, we manage to see all the sights stated in the tour program, and even more. Our guide explained us a lot of facts about Iceland and the mini bus was confortable enough for this almost all day tour. Great price for the service. I don't rate 5 stars because I think that the booking system or the communication platform through Viator must be improved, I had to write to them directly to the email address because I discovered that my earlier messages through Viator for setting up the pickup spot were not received.
