Was expecting the driver to also be a guide and explain what we were seeing doing. He was basically just a driver.

Thank you for your feedback. We respectfully disagree with the statement that the guide was “basically just a driver.” Throughout the day, information and commentary were provided at every major stop. At Þingvellir National Park, guests were introduced to the route and given information about the history and significance of the national park. At the Geysir geothermal area, we explained Iceland’s geothermal activity and how geyser eruptions occur. At Gullfoss, we shared the history of the waterfall. At Friðheimar Tomato Farm, we explained how tomatoes are grown year-round using Iceland’s natural geothermal energy. At Kerið Crater, we discussed its volcanic origins and approximately 3,000-year history. During this particular tour, several members of the group frequently chose to explore independently or engage in conversations while information was being presented. We fully respected their preferred travel style while continuing to provide explanations, recommendations, and answer questions throughout the day. As a family-owned local company, we take great pride in offering personal service and sharing our knowledge of Iceland with every guest. For this reason, we do not believe that describing the guide as “just a driver” accurately reflects the experience that was provided. We are grateful for all feedback and remain committed to delivering informative, professional, and memorable tours throughout Iceland.

The tour provided by Iceland Odyssey was amazing! Vladi was very nice and provided lots of information during the tour. He was also very flexible and gracious with us when we asked to make a last minute trip to the market. We had had the best time on this tour.

Vladi our tour guide was very polite and punctual and we fit in everything on that list plus more as we ended up accidentally booking blue lagoon instead of the local sky lagoon plus wanting to get some snacks at the gas station. The van fit all of us very comfortably as well and though tired after having just arrived at airport it was a great way to jump right into experiencing some features of Iceland right away!
