Initially founded in 1780 to shield the city of Prague, Terezin was converted into a Jewish ghetto and concentration camp during World War II, where thousands of lives were taken during the Nazi occupation.
Begin your tour in Prague, where you’ll board your coach for the journey to the camp. Once there, explore the grounds as your guide provides narration about the lives of the prisoners and the tragedies that took place.
Afterward, pay homage to the thousands of victims at the Terezin Memorial. The only institution of its kind in the Czech Republic, you’ll have the chance to experience educational exhibits and further your understanding of the Holocaust during this eye-opening and unique tour.

Arrived at the meeting point 10 mins before schedule time and the ticket immediately available from presentation of voucher at the booth, The mini bus arrived 5 mins later for prompt pick up. (Clean tidy and in good order)
Peter the guide introduced himself and immediately told us some history of some of the buildings around us, as we set off.
He was superb, very knowledgeable and had clearly personal experience from his family history as a Jew himself of the atrocities. Very good English and told the story of Terezin extremely well.
We stopped at each of the sites, the cemetery, the concentration camp and then to the museum where we saw a really good film and had time to walk around the town which felt like going back in time, quite eerie as though time s had stood still. At the concentration camp,Peter handed us over to another guide who took us around the camp and explained in detail what happened there and the stories around it. There was lots of information on large signs around individual stories which provided more insight. Overall fantastic visit and learn lots that I didn’t know before.

The guide was knowledgable and friendly. Learnt lots about the history of Terezin. The memorial is excellent and the camp itself was eye opening. Around 1.5 hours around the camp with an excellent guide. Interesting information about the ghetto. Highly recommend if you are interested in history. Opportunity for ice cream and lots of photos.

Be prepared to walk more than the description leads you to believe. Some of it was very difficult for people with mobility issues.
Our guide, Petr, was the ABSOLUTE BEST! His depth of knowledge about Terezin was incredible.

We were lucky enough to have the tour guide Peter and he displayed an encyclopaedia of knowledge of the times and the history of Terezin. Great tour but was constantly derailed by the fact that although the tour was supposed to be in English, the tour guide did all the briefings in English and French which messed up the timing where he would tell us to look at something after we had already passed by. The tour was advertised as English not English/French.

This is a “must see” tour for adults. Not a children to 16 tour. Fascinating “remembrance” of the horror of the Holocaust. Petr our guide was fantastic. Knowledge amazing. Passion and emotion also incredible. Must tour if in Prague.

While very interesting, the tour was very intense with a lot of information from our guide. I feel that after the fortress the tour could have ended and we would have been very happy with what we had learned. The museum was a little too much after everything else and you could see that from how many of the group didn’t use free time to go explore it.

It was a reasonably good tour, however: - we visited only the cemetery memorial that is adjacent to the political prisoners camp, now the camp for Jewish prisoners. We also visited a site of some prisoner's burial, next to the crematorium. Following that, we visited the getto museum, which, in my view, was not super informative.

This tour was so interesting. Our guide Petr was extremely knowledgeable and he was very passionate about the subject. Being able to see the conditions of the people who were forced to live there was incredible, sad and humbling.
The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I wish the tour was longer and we could have had more time at the Jewish Cemetery and the Ghetto Museum.
