An incredible experience. We visited during the off-season, as a result it wasn’t too busy! Lello, our Archeological guide, was incredibly passionate about the subject. He made it a tour to remember.

It was very informative and a very interesting day. Decided not to come because she was very tired from walking money stairs the day before and Positano and we weren’t sure how many stairs there would be in Pompeii. But she could’ve come because the pump experience is fairly flat. But I also wish they would’ve given me my money back for my wife not attending.

I was a politician for the day, I had a modest house in mid-town, my wife liked the shops and spa, especially in the up-town area.
Lello guided us through Pompei using all of his “family” to explain what it was like prior to the eruption, showing us the fast food restaurants and shops of the day to let us all understand that little bit more.
Great place to visit and a great guide, highly recommend.

Viktoriya was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The ruins are perfect for a small tour group with a guide. There were three of us, plus our guide. There is a lot of sun and a few places we stopped to get shade, and to get a cool breeze. Lots of walking and passing other groups, so you have to be up to that.

We had a small guided tour and was absolutely amazing. Our guide was well informed and fun to talk and interact with. We also used them for a private car ride and was fantastic. Luigi was our driver and was friendly and safe. He even stopped and bought us a treat on the way home.

Wow, what an amazing experience. Our guide, Rafaello was enthusiastic, engaging, hilarious and full of knowledge and interesting stories. This tour has been one of the highlights of my 4 week trip. Don't do Pompei without Rafaello!

We were supposed to get a semi private tour with an archeologist, when arriving we found out our group had left already because the meeting point we entered was not the correct one. When getting there we were greated by the main tour group boss, he accommodated us with another tour very professional and caring. Our tour guid was Esther, she was very knowledgeable and took is to the main areas, she was also very funny and professional, Thank you everyone for making this tour happen and for being understanding and polite. Overall recomend this experience.

AMAZING guided tour with Lello!
If you’re going to Pompeii for the first time, you should definitely book a guided tour with Lello.
He is the best tour guide we’ve ever had.
He made sure we skipped the queue, so we didn’t have to wait in the long queues. That was great.
Then he started the tour by telling us about how the area around Pompeii looked like back then. That was amazing to hear, and it really helped us understand, how beautiful and big both the Vulcano and the sea was.
Afterwards he guided us into the ruins of Pompeii, and this is were the magic began.
Throughout the whole tour he brought back the old Pompeii, and made us feel like we were living there.
We’ve never tried anything like this before, it was incredible.

We had difficulty locating the tour guide due to a change in the meeting location. Once we did, we learned our tour would start 30 minutes late and consist of 23 people! This, despite assurances I had received from the tour operator through earlier communications that the group would be small as advertised. This was definitely not a “small group tour with an archaeologist”. While the guide was good, she was not an archaeologist. Pompeii was very crowded and it was difficult to keep 23 people together. We often missed out on explanations and sites. Our tour ended short of 2 hours. Not the best experience.

Our guide was very good. We have no idea if he's actually an archaeologist or not but he tells a good story and he keeps everyone's interest. The ruins are truly incredible as is the history. We're definitely glad we included it as part of our trip.

Leonardo was a fantastic guide to Pompeii. He helped us get in while avoiding the cruise-ship crowds and took us on a route so we saw all the best sights without the crowds. His explanations were thorough and fascinating, giving depth and life to the site.
He also drew our attention so smaller items which we would not of seen without him but which were fascinating like particularly high-quality fresco and the remnants of the water pipes.
I highly recommend a guide for Pompeii to really understand what you are seeing, and Leonardo was particularly good.

BAIT and SWITCH. Not semi-private, not limited to seven people, not an archeologist leading the tour. We specifically chose this tour because the listing in two places said it was limited to seven people. There were 13 people on the tour. We were all given earpieces to hear the guide because it was so large. The guide was friendly and informative enough, but it was not interactive. It was really disappointing.

Our tour guide, Lello, was educated, enthusiastic and entertaining! I looked at some of the other tours and people did not appear engaged with their tour guide. Lello, talked to each one of us, looking in our eyes, and with great energy showed us many sights and taught us a lot about life in Pompeii, from the "fast food" counters to the various shops and houses. He was excellent at having us "imagine" what daily life was at the time. There were 4 of us in our tour and it was absolutely worth the money spent. We were the first tour of the day and Lello was early and got us through the line quickly. We had one in our group with walking issues and it was no problem for him to rest while we continued on and we met up with him later. Also, Lello asked us about where our next tour was meeting and made sure to give us good directions on how to get there! You do need to purchase the entrance tickets separately(as of the date of our tour in 4/2024).

Our tour guide Camilla did a wonderful job explaining the history pointing out the highlights of Pompei during our 3-hour tour. If you visit the site I recommend a tour guide or you will wander around without much information on the history. If you can request Camilla as your guide you will be in good hands as she is knowledgeable and very passionate making for an enjoyable experience.

Lelo was an excellent guide, very engaging and knowledgeable. Especially if short on time, a guide is worth the money to enable you to see the highlights and not miss stuff because your nose is in a guide book :-) And you definitely pick up extra information that you won’t get in a book…also good if you then want to spend a couple more hours looking around as you have extra context. Would definitely recommend Lelo
