Small group tour is the best

There were 4 of us. Two of us spoke English and 2 spoke Italian. We could not find a tour to accommodate both languages. But Claudia was so accommodating. She took time to explain few things in Italian as well even though we booked English tour. It was a small group of 6 people. We highly recommend to go with a small group.

“Small group” isn’t very small

I should have looked at the description more closely before booking the “small group” tour. I would have assumed it would have been about 15 people or less. It was 25 people. My husband and I got put with a bus group of 23 other people who were running late so our tour started more that 20 minutes late but ended on time so I felt like we missed out. The guy was decent once the tour actually started. He did a good job of explaining the ruins, but didn’t really give a lot of context with what happened during the eruption to preserve Pompeii. Overall not terrible but frustrating to be with a group that was too large for a personalized experience and that cut into our time at the site.

We sorry and apologies us ,but we like to remind that 25 is the maximum number for small group tour ( on our reservation is the maximum number ) think about the group visiting Pompei are normally 40/45 pax .about delay,we always give 10 minutes extra before we start ( many clients have problem with train connection,car accident on the motorway,not find the meeting point,so we tried to give a chance to not miss the tour .about the tour we always start with an introducing the explosion of volcano and the story how we find Pompei is the basing story to understand why Pompei is so magic place .

Vincenzo was great! Highly knowledgeable with the most detailed information about the Pompei ruins. Personable, friendly and with Pompein blood coursing through his veins. We felt like we really received a good sense of what the ruins of Pompei tells us about what happened 2000 years ago.

Vincenzo did an amazing job! Tour was a perfect length as we got to see and hear everything without it taking up the whole day. Definitely worth the price!
