Great food, great guidance, great people! A must-try experience in Osaka!

What a fabulous experience! The host was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to with great English, and the chef was very skilled, helpful, and kind. With the chef's guidance, we made a wagyu beef rice bowl and chicken nanban. She then wowed us with her ability to prepare mackerel sashimi, and we then got to eat all of the dishes along with extra sides, all while listening to a powerful shamisen performance! We were even given the recipes in English to try making the meals at home. I would definitely recommend!

    Unforgettable Japanese Experience

This was a perfect experience to really delve into Japanese culture on all fronts. My brother and I learned together how to prepare several dishes with the main course consisting of a beautiful and absolute delectable cut of Wagyu beef that came from the Mie Prefecture. The sauce that Hinata (the chef walking us through the processes) showed us how to prepare was so tasty and made the beef even better. We even got to see Hinata filet the Tai (sea bream) sashimi into beautifully cut pieces for us. We also learned how to make a very uniquely seasoned fried chicken. Chef Hinata was extremely talented and professional. While, I was a bit worried about the ability to communicate, that nervousness soon fled when we met our translator for the evening, Yasu! He had perfect English and was a very outgoing person, so it was easy to talk to him. As we were about finished eating the food we prepared together, we had this incredible performance from Keiko! She played for us some elegant songs on the Japanese string instrument "Shamisen." She was stunningly good. It definitely made me want to go see more traditional musical performances! Overall it was a phenomenal, once in a life time experience to enjoy Japanese culture. While it may have been a tad pricey, you should overlook that because it is definitely worth the money to be able to enjoy a different culture in such a way! We had a blast!

Wonderful, satisfying, a unique cooking class in Osaka

This was a highlight of our stay in Osaka. We were able to enjoy traditional Japanese cooking, songs and instrument in 2.5hours. We really had a great time. Enjoyed the performance: The performer, Keiko, was right in front of us dressed in Kimono. She was amazing and beautiful. It’s okay to take a video. Enjoyed cooking: One of my favorite food, Sukiyaki was great. The Blended rice was new to me, it was very interesting and tasty. So next time I visit, I’ll definitely take the Onigiri class. Additional note: Very easy to access. We went shopping to Shinsaibashi after this class. A great way to spend time in Osaka. Definitely recommend this class to others !
