    This class is a lovely...

This class is a lovely introduction to the craft. The instructors, Haku and Junale, provide historical background before guiding you through your first steps of Shinko. Their English is good, making it easy to ask questions or enjoy a friendly conversation. Beyond the craft itself, you'll learn about their unique natural coloring techniques and get to explore the beautiful collective workshop space. The store is also a must-see! I attended solo, but the atmosphere was so welcoming that us three students and teachers all went to lunch together afterward (not included! :) ).

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

It’s great to hear the workshop provided such a welcoming introduction to the craft. We’re delighted Haku and Junale’s guidance, along with the historical context and natural dye techniques, helped make the experience both engaging and enjoyable. It’s also wonderful that the atmosphere felt so friendly and open, even for a solo visit. Thank you very much for sharing your experience and kind feedback.🙌

Amazing Sashiko workshop with wonderful people

    Derya, Oct 2025
I loved this workshop so much, the team that led it was amazing as well as the ones who attended. We were given an introduction to Sashiko first: what is it? what‘s the history? after that we made our first item where our teachers guided us through the whole process. We also had a short tour in the atelier (dyeing room & showroom). They have also an amazing shop where you can buy some high quality & beautiful products. All in all, it felt like creating in an inspiring environment with your friends on a chill afternoon in Osaka🫶💯 PS: there is a photographer taking pictures during the session, which are shared afterwards with the attendees.

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you so much for joining our sashiko workshop and sharing your wonderful impressions. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed both the creative process and the relaxed atmosphere of the atelier. It means a lot that you felt inspired while stitching and exploring the space. We’re also happy you liked the photos—capturing those calm, creative moments is one of our favorite parts too.😊

    A must do workshop

    willem_f, Dec 2024
Enjoyed an amazing Sashiko Workshop with June in a very relaxing environment. he shared with me the basic knowledge about Sashiko and showed me different Sashiko creations. The best part of the workshop wad that he guided you through the process of making a small Sashiko creation your self using various stiches. This is a must do workshop if you would like to gain a basic knowledge of this great Japanese craft.

    Response from Host, Dec 2024

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re so happy to hear you had such a meaningful and enjoyable time at the workshop. It sounds like a truly special experience.
