This was a highlight of our trip! We were so happy to be introduced to the areas of Temma and Kyobashi. Loved the vibe and the food. Tommy was our guide and he put together an amazing selection of locations with excellent atmosphere and food. The walk in between was part of the fun, we had great conversation and learned a bit about the customs and culture of the area. Recommended for sure.

This was a fantastic tour!
Hugo took us to three excellent choice restaurants.
Even better, the places we went to and the food dishes he chose and ordered for us were so varied and so interesting that I think over two thirds of the many things we tried were completely new to me and I consider myself well travelled.
There were lots of culinary surprises, giving many a raised eyebrow, but as is needed in these food tours, it is best to just get on with tasting and eating, which we all did, and there were just empty plates left at each stop.
The dishes were not something I would know to order from a menu or would even have thought to have as either a main course or an appetiser so to get to try so many things in one meal tour was amazing.
Hugo was probably the best host and guide that we have had out of our many food tours: informative, friendly, engaging, welcoming and entertaining. Even though two groups had to be combined on the day due to illness of another guide, he handled the ten of us very well. (Of note, Qudos to the tour company who emailed us to apologise for having to have a larger group than the maximum 6 as promised, but also offered full refunds if desired, available up to one hour before the tour start. No one took that option it seems and they were right not to. The group size was fine and we all had a treat.)
Lastly - the Wagyu beef optional upgrade, available at the time of buying the tour, was well worth it for us. We were the only two on the tour who did this and I suspect others regretted not buying it. It isn’t cheap, but Wagyu beef isn’t, and the 100g portion size gave each of us 8 large mouth sized chunks to savour.
There was more than enough food to eat in the basic tour without the additional Wagyu, but we pre-ordered it because we knew we would be unlikely to go to a steakhouse and have a Wagyu meal another time. The Wagyu steak was so delicious, tender, juicy and tasty that I would recommend it to anyone who eats meat, whether you think you like steak or not. Don’t leave Japan without trying it (and this is a great way to do that)
10/10 for this tour even though I’ve had to rate it 5/5!

Three tastings with drinks- food was good and different in each place. It’s not really a food centric tour because the tour content is more about Osaka culture and some of it is pretty dark. If you want more of a culture and history experience with food then this might be for you But if you want a more food focused tour this may not be the right one especially with you have teens or younger with you The guide was very knowledgeable and paced himself to the group.

Not sure at all which part was "dark," but you are spot on (and inline with the tour description) that it is a culture and food tour. It should still be noted that we go to three restaurants and serve a very large spread of food and drinks across all of them.
For those looking to belly up to restaurant after restaurant in quick succession, there are indeed better options out there. For those who want to eat and drink aplenty, but also dive into the local scene on a truly small group tour (generally limited to six guests) that eschews Dotonbori for real life - well, we are waiting with open arms and a giant "okini"!

This is without doubt a great way to experience the best Osaka has to offer from a foodies angle. a good overall view and 3 well selected and different options to sample the delicacies in Osaka. The guide Levy was verk knowlegdable and pleasent making the tour relaxed and fun for all. The quality of the food was great , nice tables , vip treatment - well worth it .... we would do this trip again

I was looking for a tour that didn't go through the usual touristy areas like Dotonburi and this tour with Alejandro was perfect. We got to explore a few standing izakayas around Tenma, eating as the locals do.

We had a blast during this food tour with our guide Joshua. We toured the Tenma and Kyobashi neighbourhoods and we learned about Osaka’s culture along the way. We ate at 3 different restaurants : small restaurant in a bustling alley, standing bar, izakaya style restaurant. We shared plates of amazing dishes and had lots to sample from (kushi katsu, sashimi, seafood, meats…). We got drinks at each spot (non-alcoholic was an option). We had a fabulous time and would recommend +++

Our tour guide was great. However for a food tour the food was not great. We had three stops. At number one the sashimi was very good, but the fried food was just OK. The second stop was better food but nothing amazing. We couldn't get into the third place so went to a standing servery and the food was like cheap takeaway.
For the price we paid I would have preferred to go to a good restaurant. Maybe the tour was more about the experience than the food.

Unfortunately, you chose a tour that was roughly half eating and half walking around neighborhoods, and you were not physically up to the task. The tour was 15 minutes longer than scheduled, but much of that small overrun could be attributed to the entire group having to move slowly to accommodate your pace.
While we welcome criticism, in this case we think it unfair that you reviewed the tour poorly simply because it is not what you wanted, despite it being exactly what it was advertised to be.

A food tour is always an excellent way to get acquainted with a city. Josh brought food and culture to life for us, and in a totally fun way. The choices of food venues and the dishes and drinks provided were very tasty to be sure (and I’m the definition of a picky eater). He also arranged substitutions for a couple of foods I don’t eat, which was kind. We finished stuffed and maybe a tad over-served. Highly recommend this tour and Josh!
