Customize your own ramen in this unique experience that’s run out of a ramen shop in Osaka. Instead of simply enjoying a ramen lunch, why not also learn how to make ramen from an experienced chef? Listen to an explanation of each ramen ingredient before you boil the noodles and prepare your soup. Choose from a variety of different options, like Chinese soba and sea bream dashi salt ramen.

It is located 2 stations by train from "Namba", the center of Osaka. A taxi will get you there in about 5 minutes. There are few tourists, and it will be an area where locals live. It is on the first floor of the IBP building.

Lots of explained about ramen and then the cooking begins. Both ramen dishes we made and ate were excellent (best we had). Also interesting to hear the back story of why our chef was now a business restaurant owner from the fast past of life. Definitely enhanced our Japan holiday and would recommend

This was lots of fun and easy to follow, small groups means one on one learning, Shu and Amanda were lovely hosts and energetic. Would absolutely recommend this experience. 5 star.

Amazing experience with Shu and his wife! Very understanding of us running late. We had a group of 4 and enjoyed learning the process. Ramen itself was very, very tasty and Shu and his wife were very entertaining and easy to talk to. Highly recommend!

A super fun hands on ramen class that is a very personable experience. The chef/instructor guides you in his own restaurant kitchen on the process of making ramen (it’s quite time and labor intensive!) and leaves the fun portion of making your own bowl just for you. You get 4 different options to choose from to make. The chef was a very fun person to talk to and spoke great English (especially for someone who learned just from watching tv shows and movies!) Come with an open stomach as the ramen is tasty and filling!

It was great! The host is really fun and welcoming and even his english was pretty good. The coolest thing is that the whole workshop is in his ramen shop which is usually open. All in all, I would recommend

This was an amazing experience. The chef was very friendly and I was able to be very hands-on for the preparation of the ramen. It was delicious! I would highly recommend this tour - it was my favourite!

Great time - got the opportunity to help make our own ramen and then eat it. You go behind the line to cook the noodles and do a few other things. Let's you take all the pictures and video you want. The restaurant is in a local part of town.

The owner of the shop is a very nice guy. The class is less about learning how to make Ramen, and more about experiencing the steps it takes to fulfill an order by taking already prepared ingredients and doing the final steps.

Very special experience with Shu and his son, amazing to understand the process involved and creating our own meal and it was delicious. My sons had a fun interaction playing the universal rubik cube as a post meal game together.

Shu and his family were so kind and welcoming! Shu was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail, and the process of his ramen making is fascinating. He was funny and chatting with him and his wife was fun! And of course, the ramen was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Very unique, up-close and in person way to learn how to make ramen without looking like a tourist in Japan's food capital. You get to go behind the counter and torch the meat, cut the egg in half and shake the noodles. The ramen was delicious and it was fun to see the scattered dots on the map he has pinned up.

The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the cooking process was enjoyable and fun. It was great to learn about the different types of ramen as it gave us a deeper appreciation of Japanese culture. This is a must do experience for anyone interested in Japanese cooking!

Fantastic experience that was our highlight to our travels in Japan. This truly is a hidden gym of Osaka.
Our family of four booked the venture early in the morning. We picked a dinner time experience. We were immediately greeted by Shu and he went out of his way to make us comfortable. It was a 100 degrees day and without asking, he immediately brought cold water, refilled our water bottle and placed in the freezer, and was very friendly.
Making the Ramen is quite fun. He teaches you about the different types, how different elements are made, and more. You will go behind the counter and actually put your meal together under the expert chefs care.
Food is unbelievable. Everything is fresh and incredibly tasty. Ramen like you have never tried it.
Do yourself a favor and do this experience. Great for families and Shu is fantastic with kids.

Shu was a great host and teacher in explaining the various types ramen as well as the types of ramen he prepares. Who knew that preparing the base is like an 8-12 hour task?!?! At any rate, his guided practice and alternating system was ideal for making sure all guests were included.
