It was well worth the visit but you don’t really need the guide. You can walk up and pay the entry fee and wander around yourself.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Dear Cara,
Thank you for your review! We are glad to hear that you found the venue well worth the visit.
While it is true that visitors can walk through the museum on their own, we believe that a professional guide provides that special something extra that completely changes the experience. Beyond the historical facts, our guides share hidden details, anecdotes, backstage curiosities, and stories about the artists that you simply cannot find on a standard information plaque or by wandering around alone.
Our goal is to bring the history of the theater to life, and we are happy you had the opportunity to experience it, even if you feel a self-guided option could also work. We hope those stories added extra value to your time there!
Best regards,
Davide

We waited on time outiside of the Scala, and after 10 minutes we realized the meeting point was somewhere else.
Would of been good to have the guide send us an email or a text to verify location.
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Jaime,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had trouble locating the group, but we would like to clarify a few points regarding the meeting point.
The meeting location is clearly stated both on the tour description page and on your booking voucher: it is specifically in front of the entrance to the La Scala Museum. As specified in the title and description, this is a tour of the Museum and not the Theater itself, which have different entrances.
Our team is always available to assist in real-time. Had you experienced any difficulty, you could have contacted us immediately via phone, WhatsApp, or email (all contact details are provided in your confirmation). This would have allowed us to guide you to the correct spot just a few meters away.
We always recommend that our guests double-check the voucher details a few minutes before the start to ensure a smooth check-in process.
Best regards,
Davide

Not able to tour back stage or to see the theatre up close. The theatre was dark for set construction.
Guide needs a better microphone.
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Jenifer,
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify a few points regarding the visit to the theatre.
As clearly stated in the tour description on our website, the backstage area is never accessible to the public for safety and operational reasons. The tour typically allows guests to view the theatre's interior briefly from one of the boxes; however, in the event of rehearsals, technical set-ups, or other exceptional circumstances, even this view may be restricted.
These activities are essential to the life of a working opera house and are managed entirely by the theatre's production team.
Regarding the guide's microphone, we appreciate your report. We will immediately check the equipment to ensure it provides the best possible audio quality for our future guests.
We hope that, despite these operational constraints, you found the historical insights provided by our guide valuable.
Best regards,
Davide

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and obviously passionate about the subject. The instructions to get to the start of the tour were confusing, like I was on a treasure hunt.

Except for a few minutes delay, the tour went on smoothly. Tour Guide was has exceptional professional decorum and knows her subject.

A good tour with a lot of information about a beautiful renovated building, wich has an interesting history.
Victoria_D, Feb 2026
It was beautiful, and the guide was kind and nice. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Very knowledgeable guide. Microphone and transmitter worked well. We would have liked to go inside the theater and sit in a theater seat. We were able to view it from an observation window only. Watched briefly a rehearsal in progress. Wonderful collection of artifacts. Don’t bring backpack unless you can put in an available locker for one euro rental. Overall would heartily recommend.
Athena_K, Sep 2023
Initially the tour was just for the museum as the theatre could not be accessed due to filming. While touring the museum there was a break in filming and we were allowed access, which was wonderful. The tour guide was very good and both aspects of the tour - museum and theatre interior - were informative and very enjoyable.

I believed that I had booked the La Scala tour for November 5, but the tickets said November 3. When I contacted you via email asking for help, there was no response. Very disappointing. Now you are asking me to rate my experience. I would like a refund to my credit card due to your ignoring my plea for help.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Dear Barbara,
we are sorry to read this from you.
Unfortunately we did not receive any email from you as you probably sent this request to Viator and we cannot know why they did not reply. Our agency name is Veditalia and we are responsible for organizing the tour. We suggest you to contact directly Viator for further check.
Furthemore we could have rescheduled your tour for November 5th if we were informed; you could have also changed date on your own through Viator website or cancelling the tour on Viator until 24 hours before the tour starting time in order to receive full refund.
Next time please check if the booking time and date is suitable for you and contact the right supplier for assistance if needed.
Best Regards
Davide

A good small tour. There was only 3 of us. Frabicco was very good and efficient. It was a good tour. He did talk fast, but with it being so small we did not have to have headsets.
