Our day trip on the Bernina Red Train through the Swiss Alps was nothing short of exceptional, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to Mary Christi and Salvatore, our driver. From start to finish, everything felt seamless, well-organised, and genuinely enjoyable.
Mary Christi brought such warmth and enthusiasm to the day. Her knowledge of the route, the landscapes, and the little details you might otherwise miss really elevated the whole journey. She explained things clearly without ever overwhelming us, and her friendly, approachable manner made everyone feel comfortable and included. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great time.
Salvatore, our driver, was equally fantastic. The journey was incredibly smooth, and we felt completely safe and relaxed throughout. Navigating those mountain roads is no small task, but he handled it with total professionalism and calm confidence. It made a big difference knowing we were in such capable hands.
And then there’s the experience itself — the Bernina Red Train is simply breathtaking. The views of the Swiss Alps are truly unforgettable: snow-capped peaks, glacial landscapes, charming villages, and dramatic mountain passes. Every turn seemed to reveal something even more beautiful than the last. It’s one of those journeys where you find yourself constantly reaching for your camera, yet also wanting to just sit back and take it all in.
The pacing of the day was spot on. There was enough time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed, but also enough structure to keep everything running smoothly. It struck the perfect balance between guided experience and personal freedom.
Overall, this was a brilliantly organised trip with outstanding hosts. Mary Christi and Salvatore went above and beyond to make it special, and the scenery speaks for itself. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to explore the Swiss Alps in a comfortable, memorable, and truly spectacular way.

Just do it because it’s a day you will never forget and the drive was amazing well worth every cent with a great team

The views were incredible!! If you are leaving from St. Moritz, pick the right side of the train! You can see so much more than the left side! Either way, it was a beautiful day and I would recommend for sure! My only issue was that some couples also sat at both window seats even though the guide said to sit beside each other. One couple on our trip did not have a window seat. Overall 9.5/10!!

The whole day was 5* from start to finish, From our driver Salivtore managing the twist and turns up the mountain to Mya our fabulous guide who was so informative and knowledgeable. Just as the driver knew every twist and turn on the road she knew every twist and turn of the train pointing out all the best photo opportunities. Would highly recommend worth every £

What an incredible tour! Make sure you put the window down on the train and take videos!! Your mind can’t even absorb the beauty! I wasn’t sure what to expect but they over delivered!!! When in St Moritz, go to the pharmacy to buy your chocolate! Way cheaper, wish we had bought much more! This was one of our favorite tours and we are still talking about it. It’s worth every penny!!?

The translator’s English Wasn’t that great for starters. Then it was like cattle being lead around at a pace that was doable but not enjoyable.
The train ride was very nice with lots of picturesque scenery.
All in all it was adequate tour.
MEL_O, Apr 2026
Beautiful scenery and a very unique experience. Our tour guide, Cara(I think that was her name and how it’s spelled), was very informative and helpful.
Smail2_N, Apr 2026
Our tour leader maya was fantastic and driver Salvador was great . I suggest our Bernini tour to everyone.
Rakibul_A, Apr 2026
Maia was fantastic as a guide with single minor details. The driver Salvatore displayed his supremacy on driving.
Dina_B, Apr 2026
The experience was a bit underwhelming. Bus and train were packed to the extent that we could sit with our entire family. The tour guide did a nice job providing some commentary during the bus ride and a bit during the train ride.
Jessica_H, Apr 2026
Amazing trip, we get to see beauty of nature from hot to cold. The tour guide person, Mya was outstanding and ver pleasant.

It was an awesome trip! I recommend you do this first thing when you arrive in Milan. This (all-day) trip was worth the time and money. We loved it all and can’t decide what our favorite part is. It’s a definite MUST for us again next time we come back. Bring portable battery and a phone stand for lots of pictures … I ran out of space from my cell and had to use my husband’s phone instead. The only thing is that we wish we had more time at our first time to do a little more shopping. They only gave us 30 mins and wished we had an hour instead. But all in all, it was an awesome trip!

It’s a great day out for a once in a lifetime experience. We had 90 minutes in St Moritz which was plenty, it wasn’t busy at all. We went in April, plenty of snow still about and then beautiful green scenery as you make your way down. Views are spectacular. Our driver Salvadori was absolutely excellent navigating the challenges of some of the roads. Our guide Mya, was informative and friendly. Would recommend. This only negative was the disorganisation of the pick up point area, near the station on central Milan. It was rather chaotic.
Herbert_G, Apr 2026
After a meeting point problem and sound issue with the early part of the journey Maria gave a detailed and well informed commentary for the rest of the journey while managing to keep everyone together when required
Julie_Y, Apr 2026
Long day but worth it. An easy way to get out of the city and see a bit of the Alps on beautiful train ride.
Paul_J, Apr 2026
Exceptional tour. Tour guide was personable, knowledgeable and knew just when to prep to take the photo. She did not overwhelm the tour but greatly added to it.

Would like to thank Maya and Salvatore for the support during the tour.
The activity is great and worth of visiting.
A pleasant snowy weather with the sun at the end made a good day in total.

Nothing wrong with the organizers and the tour guide. She was sweet and hard working. And the trip didn't do anything wrong. But $175 for this trip wasn't worth it at all. There is absolutely nothing to do in st. Moritz. It's something everyone was talking about. 2 hours there just to stare at a mountain and few cafes and expensive stores isn't worth it. I didn't even find the UNESCO world site to be all that. You can find that in most places in world. In USA you can go to new England, Pennsylvania, Colorado. I was hesitant to go on this trip over Venice or Florence. If someone is as skeptical about taking the trip because you're doubtful over just seeing mountains and a dead town. Yes skip it. I should've gone to Florence instead or Venice. I did the lake como and lugano trip. That was worth it

This is an exceptionally amazing experience for those who want to see the magnificent views of the Alps from all points of view, ti have a hot chocolate, a tea with apfel strudel or a coffee with a view to the mountain the village in St Moritz and an astonishing train trip. Be aware this begins at 7:30 AM and ends near 8 PM. While you sit most of the time, it can be tiring for kids. Fortunately is not hard for the legs, just a little bit of going up in St Moritz.
jesica_c, Mar 2026
Great tour! We enjoyed every minute of it. The experience of passing by Lake Como on the way to St. Moritz was absolutely beautiful, and the train ride through the Swiss Alps was unforgettable. Our tour guide was fantastic, sharing great information along the journey, and our driver did an amazing job navigating the mountain roads. Highly recommend this tour!
Noel_A, Mar 2026
It was a great day from Start to finish. Great Guide / Excellent Driver as the Road up to St Moritz is so steep etc. Views were exceptional and need to be seen to be believed!! Fantastic Experience
Tisha_C, Mar 2026
Tour was excellent. Tour guide spoke very good English, Gave excellent recommendations for shopping and eating, and knew the locations along the way. She did an excellent job at making sure she knew where everyone was before moving on. Highly recommended! Amazing views!

I travelled on 14th March and had a wonderful experience. I’m sorry I can’t recall the name of our lovely guide, but she was absolutely fantastic. She explained everything clearly throughout the tour and made the whole journey engaging.
A few of us were seated in a different carriage on the Bernina, yet she never forgot about us. She even came to our carriage to make sure we didn’t miss any of the attractions. Her thoughtfulness and dedication truly made the trip special. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I truly appreciate the guide’s dedication. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting—it’s absolutely worth it.

We took a full-day trip to St. Moritz that included the famous Bernina Express train ride. The scenery along the journey was absolutely breathtaking and made the experience truly special.
Our trip became even more memorablejob explaining the sights along the way and was extremely helpful throughout the tour.
It was a fantastic experience and one we will always remember.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled that the Bernina Train scenery took your breath away and that our guide made the journey even more special for you.
Sharing the beauty of St. Moritz is our passion, and we are so happy to have created a lasting memory for you. We hope to see you again soon!
Best regards,
Lee_S, Mar 2026
If you have the time, book it.. Picture postcard scenery. Everything was just perfect. From pick up time to home time. The day started at 7.ish but there are food stops on the way as we had no breakfast , plus we had about 2 hrs in St Moritz free time before the train journey. Word of advice- if you want snow and mountain views- sit on the right hand side
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much for your wonderful review!
We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed the entire experience, from the early pick-up to the journey home. It’s great that you appreciated the scenic stops along the way and the free time in St. Moritz before the train ride — it’s one of our favorite moments of the day too.
We hope to welcome you again on another adventure soon.
Alexis_S, Mar 2026
The tour guide was incredibly nice and she was very knowledgeable, but for the overall experience it is not worth the money at all. You barely get any time in any of the places and spend most of the time on a bus. The train itself is just the regular swiss railway, so it isn’t even special like it seems in the advertisements. Also, for 75% of the train ride the view can only be seen well on one side of the train, so if you don’t sit on that side you get views of mostly mountainside or rocks.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you liked the guide! Regarding the train, we always specify that the journey takes place on standard carriages precisely because the opening windows allow for better photos without reflections. We’re sorry the tour timing didn’t meet your expectations, but we hope you’ll keep a good memory of our guide.
