We had a private tour of the Spanish Royal Palace with guide Jaime. He provided a COMPREHENSIVE presentation about the Royal history in Spain, development of Madrid and its historical government center, and construction of the palace. That all occurred before we entered the palace. Once inside Jaime informed us, room by room, about the room’s function, the meaning of paintings, and the source and meaning of various furnishings and fixtures. He even explained how each room related to the various Royals who had lived and/or ruled from the Palace. Jaime did all this with authority, humility and humor. While doing this he thoroughly answered all of our questions. This was time very well spent. And Jaime is an excellent guide

Our private tour was wonderful! Our guide Jaime picked us up from the place where we stayed. He gave us a lot of insides on the way to the Royal Palace. The place itself was so beautiful! Definitelly, must visit when you are in Madrid.

A private tour of the royal palace is the way to go. Arturo guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took time to explain, not only the significance of the arts and artifacts in the palace, but also how they related to history in the Spanish empire. The palace, and get very crowded, but we need to places to stand and where to go to avoid the crowds. Having a private guide also gave us individual attention and Issac mobility, which was very good in a super crowded area, and made the experience much more enjoyable than being in a large group. Javier must be an encyclopedia because he knew so much about everything related to the palace. It’s history and it’s art. If we could have the chance to come back to Madrid, we will definitely be searching him out for repeat visits.

We arrived in front of the palace and were contacted by our guide who introduced himself. He escorted us into the palace (we got to skip the huge line out front.) he was very knowledgeable and explained much of the history on why and how the palace was built. We entered the palace and our guide took the time and explained to us details in intimate detail to the point those not included in our family stopped to listen to him explaining to us what we were looking at. I enjoyed this tour very much and was able to learn a lot of the history of Spain and the amazing palace we toured. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Madrid!
