Both my partner and I have advanced degrees in art and have taken several art history courses. Our tour guide Sean delivered the highest level of art history experience. He wove art and history together. He picked us up at our hotel and shepherded us seamlessly into the Prado. He was very knowledgable, enthusiastic and interesting. The Prado is a big place but his tour touched on all the highlights. His stories gave a lot of context to those great works of art. A highlight of our visit to Madrid.

Our group had a fantastic experience with our guide Enrique…he was super knowledgeable, charismatic and focused. He provided excellent context for viewing the treasures of the Prado by giving us a background on the development of perspective by Van der Weyden and then symbolism used by Bosch before launching the group into the masters of Italian renaissance and mannerist schools and finally the cream of the crop of brilliant Spanish masters. His discussion of the works of El Greco, Velasquez, Ribera and others was poignant. He covered so much ground and gave us all a more keen appreciation for the development of Spanish art.

Our tour guide, Enrique, was waiting for at our hotel in Madrid. The tour began immediately out of the hotel lobby, enroute to the Prado Museum. The Prado is magnificent. I've never seen so many brilliantly glowing works of art. Whomever cleans the paintings deserves 5 stars. Our guide, Enrique's excitement and knowledge about the art was absolutely spellbinding. Paintings we would have walked past with just a glance, were explained, highlighted, and shown from different angles to see hidden gems. When we left, after 3 mesmerizing hours, my husband and I were just as thrilled by the Prado's exquisite art as we were by our wonderful guide Enrique.

Excellent private tour of the Prado Museum. Enrique, our guide, met us at our hotel & as we walked to the museum gave us a mini tour of Madrid. At the museum, he spent quality time with us in explaining the important pieces of the museum. Many times, he suggested we view a piece of art from several angles. We learned a lot.

Amazing view of Goya’s artistic progression, life and famous works. Our guide Eva was very knowledgeable, bright and well-spoken. We learned much of Spanish history, culture and art. This is a great introduction to the Prado.

Angel was the most incredible tour guide! He made the Prado cone to life! His knowledge of each of the major paintings was incredible. Bravo Angel!
Our guide, Angel, was excellent. The feature to skip to the front of the line was well worth it. The Prado is too large to see in its entirety. Angel knew which pieces to focus on. It was a great afternoon.
We had a wonderful time visiting the Prado with Eva. We were in Madrid on a national holiday weekend but she knew how to weave us through and find spots that made us feel like we had the museum to ourselves. She was very knowledgable and we loved the information she had to share as well as her appreciation of the art which we felt. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Our morning with Sara was educational and lots of fun. She picked us up at our hotel and we walked to the Prado. Along the way, we learned a great deal about Madrid and when we entered the museum, she was a font of knowledge about the main artists and masterpieces in the galleries. Had we gone alone we wouldn't have had any idea what we were looking at. The Prado is very crowded and being with a private guide was a much better way to navigate. Sara's English is great.

Enrique was exceptional what a terrific experience he was so knowledgeable of the art and allowed us to wonder what the artist was thinking about when creating the piece. He offered such rich historical accounts of each of the time periods. Very engaging. However there was so much information it was difficult to digest it all

Our guide Angel was prompt to pick us up at our hotel and was very knowledgeable and passionate about the art and history. The only complaint I have is that the “hotel pickup “ was not fully explained when I booked. Our hotel was a full 1-hr walk to the museum- I assumed that we would be using a taxi or even public transportation. Angel did offer to get us a taxi at about the mid-point of the walk but at that time we decided to just continue the walk. Overall the tour was very good and I would highly recommend it.
