Itinerary

Meet your local guide in central London and take off on a roughly 4-hour bike tour of the city’s ever-evolving Thames riverfront. Ride past key attractions such as Big Ben, the London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and the Tower of London.

After cruising through South Bank, stop at the bustling and eclectic Borough Market (morning departures only). Aside from offering a range of artisanal food and produce, the market is a testament to London’s multicultural landscape. For lunch, grab some crispy fish and chips, a Damascene falafel wrap, or a pot of steaming hot noodles with custom toppings (own expense).

Next, head to Tower Bridge—a masterpiece of Victorian engineering. As you cross the bridge into London’s financial district, admire sweeping river views that feature a juxtaposition of old London architecture and modern constructions such as the Shard— a 95-story pyramid of glass.

Along the way, enjoy a storied narrative from your guide about the major events—from plagues and wars to catastrophic fires—that have evolved the cityscape.

Pass the Monument to the Great Fire of 1666 and the remarkably beautiful Leadenhall Market, the setting of many feature films. Then, pedal over the London Bridge back to Southwark, where your tour ends.

The tour itself was very good. The stops were unusual and the guide, Nick, informative. But, there is no easy way to get around London on a bicycle with all the foot traffic A lot of the ride was spent weaving around walkers in tight spaces.

Great, great ride and overview of London. Our guide...I beleive Beth was her name...was superb. Great overview of the trip including sites, traffic observance...riding on the LEFt side of the road : cause it's London, ensuring our young riders were close to her for safety. She was just great and made this crowded city very easy to navigate for us. Excellent history lesson, lots of river stops, and we rode ACROSS Tower bridge. Amazing for sure. And a yummy lunch stop in Borough market. highly recommend.

Our guide, Thomas, was delightful. I don't call 11 riders a small group. We found ourselves riding on walkways crowded with many pedestrians, which got very stressful. This distracted from seeing the "sights" between stops.

I would highly recommend any of the bike tours offered including this one. It certainly was an experience getting up close and personal with the London traffic especially the red buses! The cobblestones made their presence felt the next day! Our guide was knowledgeable and fun, the Irish accent was divine! We had a range of experience in our group and everyone coped and made it back to base with lots of laughs. It's a great way to see a lot of areas that maybe you would not normally get to. The only down side was that there wasn't the Thames clipper ride as advertised, a bit deceiving as we especially picked this tour to take advantage of the different transports.

Fantastic tour! SO worth the time and money. Our guide was both knowledgeable and personable, and the places we visited were accompanied by neat historical tidbits and anecdotes. I loved the lunch break at the market, and being able to bike across both the Tower Bridge as well as London Bridge. It's a great way to preview places you'd like to spend more time at during your holiday.

This tour was a lot of fun and the tour guide was very knowledgable about almost everything to do with London. He obviously loves the city which is great for those visiting to hear. Our group was only 4 people and it could have probably covered more ground as we seemed to have quite a long lunch break. Ending with a cruise along the Thames was lovely and I would definitely recommend this as a great way to see the sights of London and learn a lot along the way.

I really enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend it! I've been living in London for over 3 years and still found this bike tour really interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative and we learned about London history in a very entertaining way. We saw some of the best spots in London along the river Thames, including the Tower Bridge, Big Ben, London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, etc. And loved having lunch at Borough Market, great food! Definitely a must if you'd like to see London in a different way!

What a fantastic way to experience the city! I was really impressed with the bike tour – the guide was really knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about London and its history. I felt really safe on the bike – I think being in a small group helped. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see London in a different way. I’ll definitely be checking out their tours in other cities!

What a great way to see London! Cycling along the Thames was spectacular, and a chance to see pretty much 2000 years of British history, and all of the famous landmarks like the Globe, Westminster, the London Eye, and the Tower of London The guide was from London and covered this huge amount of history in a understandable way with great facts and funny stories. He also helped made sure that we cycled along safe areas. Being able to stop for a while in Borough Market for lunch was also a treat. Overall, just a great overview of London!
