Itinerary

Your tour begins at a designated meeting point in Hampton Court, where you’ll greet your guide and get kitted out with your bike. Begin the 8-mile (13-kilometer) route by cycling through Bushy Park, the second-largest of London’s Royal Parks, and look out for deer that are direct descendants of those bred by Henry VIII.

After stopping at a local pub for refreshments (own expense), you’ll cycle to the end of Long Water and continue along the Thames River to the grand entrance of Hampton Court Palace or the train station, where your tour concludes.

Beautiful ride through the palace park. Horrible equipment, old bicycles in disrepair, tires not properly inflated. Guide was nice but difficult to understand, spoke way too fast even after being asked to slow down. There was very little information given about the grounds, history & sites we passed along the way.

Hi Deborah, I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy our bike tour. Our bikes are vintage, but very reliable. We always ask the customers to come a bit earlier so we can adjust the bikes to the individuals liking. We got all the tools to fix the bikes and add more air to the tires when needed. As you arrived 30 minutes after the tour had already started, the guide wasn’t able to do that and you unfortunately also missed the introduction to the palace. I will pass your feedback about the speed of speech to the guide so this can be avoided next time. We like to give our tours in a more lightly leisurely way, instead of a history class way. Relaxing cruise around Hampton Court Grounds

This is a great way to explore the grounds surrounding Hampton Palace. In a small group of no more than 8, you take a cruiser bike and spend the afternoon (or morning) cruising around the expansive park with the tour guide teaching you about the history of the area and the palace. Trish, our guide, was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. It's a cruisey ride, almost all flat, with several stops that will allow you to see the local wildlife (Red deer and fallow deer), the local pub, and major monuments. Note: You do not enter the ticketed area of Hampton Palace, you simply ride around it, so if you want to explore the palace itself, leave yourself a few hours before or after your ride to do so. All in all, a fun and relaxing way to spend an afternoon.!

The company that ran the Hampton...

The company that ran the Hampton Court Palace Tour was really accommodating, especially as I had to reschedule. Their communication was excellent. The tour itself is something I would recommend to friends. I did it with my daughters who are 13 and 12. They were unsure to start with but loved it. The guide was approachable and gave a really interesting commentary - not ladden with dates but with parts of history that I think my girls will actually remember. Thank you so much - sorry I can't post the photos but again the guide took the time to take photos of us which we appreciated.
