Comfy shoes for sure but the boat tour certainly is worth adding on as it’s a lovely little break and a scenic way to get across the city - great to see the locations and the tour guide had an iPad with scenes from the movie to help bring it to life

Itinerary

Your walking tour starts at the Southwark View Point, by Southwark Cathedral. There, meet your guide and group, and get sorted into your Hogwarts house.

Set off on foot, enjoying Harry Potter trivia quizzes from your guide along the way to earn points for your house. You also have the chance to use your spell knowledge to outwit members of other houses.

During your walking tour, pass by the London locations that inspired settings such as Diagon Alley, and visit filming locations, including the bridge that was destroyed in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

Follow in the footsteps of Deatheaters, visit the inspiration for Knockturn Alley, and see the location of the Ministry of Magic. You can even upgrade to add on a Thames River cruise.

After several hours, your tour ends in Covent Garden.

The Harry Potter Filming Locations Tour in London was an absolute treat — magical from start to finish! Our guide, Nic, brought the wizarding world to life with fascinating behind-the-scenes stories and fun facts about the films and the city itself. He also made sure we were all sorted into one of the four Hogwarts Houses before the tour began. Once we were sorted, a Harry Potter quiz began in an effort to win an invisible House Cup. As we wandered through spots that inspired Diagon Alley, the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron, and the Ministry of Magic, it felt like stepping straight into the movies. One of the highlights was the boat ride along the River Thames. We sailed past iconic London landmarks featured in films set in the Harry Potter wizarding world, making the experience even more special. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing and movie magic. Whether you’re a lifelong Potter fan or just curious about London’s cinematic side, this tour is a must-do with Nic. As a guide, Nic is well-organized, entertaining, and full of little surprises that make you fall in love with the city — and the story — all over again.

It was a very nice city tour with a great guide. Eva was extremely solar and seemed truly passionate. The tour was made during the evening yet we were able to see everything! She was funny, informative and really helpful for some recommendations around the end. The questions were given at relevant time and not just thrown as a test right in the middle, thus, you can easily search in your memory for the right answer. Thank you again Eva ! You are awesome !

His trivia questions were great fun, his information and presentation top notch, and the places we visited were all relevant to Harry Potter. Jonas did an excellent job and provided interesting information about both London’s history and the Harry Potter movies and also some useful advice on how to get around the city and where to go. My kids were glued to his side absorbing everything he had to tell. They wanted me to add that they thought his questions were too easy, though. ;-) All in all, it was a very good experience.

This is a really fun tour! You were sorted into HP classes and then you answer trivia questions throughout the tour. The tour guide, Arne, was so wonderful! He was very knowledgeable in HP books and the movies. I really liked going to the different areas in London that the film was made. He would talk about the area and sometimes show the part in the movie it was in. Very cool to see it in the movie and in real life. Not only did he point out HP locations, he would also show us different places along the way. We walked down the narrowest street in London! Arne was so kind and interactive. My family of 6 loved this tour and said it was their favorite.

Lovely way to see the city on foot. I would imagine it gets busy at peak times. We went on a Sunday morning between Christmas & new year so it may have been quieter. Visit Borough Market before for a bite to eat — very close to the start of the tour. Our guide Louis was really approachable and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much bother for him.

Analise was absolutely great! This was the first tour I did in London on. My very first day and it helped orient me,while also giving insight on where Harry Potter was shot. Ana had great knowledge on each site, taking great care to show us each scene we came across, and the stills side by side. Makes you really feel like you’re a part of it. The walking is an easy pace, no rush or strenuous. Just the perfect first activity after a day of travel.
