Takes some time to get started but ride is worth it. Horses are pretty solid well mannered. Non riders seemed to do well. We enjoyed being “passengers” and not having to actively ride. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Trail guides were friendly and chill. Lots of opportunities for pictures.

We took an afternoon ride up the mountains with Taylor as our guide. We are pretty inexperienced with horseback riding and really had no problems. Beautiful views and animals. Great way to spend an afternoon!

Overview

With their cedar forests and sweeping canyon views, Colorado’s Rocky Mountain trails are practically tailor-made for horseback rides—but many excursions can intimidate beginning and intermediate riders. Ideal for all levels (including small children), this gentle, hour-long horseback experience takes place at a working cattle ranch tucked into Glenwood Canyon, and unrolls at a relaxed pace, letting riders soak up mountain views and connect to the land.
  • A smaller group (16 people max) is ideal for those who prefer a personalized experience
  • Choice of morning, midday, and early afternoon start times for easy scheduling
  • Postcard-perfect scenery: Traverse meadows, and take in canyon and Colorado River views

Great time!

The 2 hour trail ride was fantastic! Our guide, Landon, did an amazing job helping us along the way and sharing fun stories and history about the ranch and a rea. The views of the ranch and canyon were beautiful. I was also pleased with the reminders and even a call the day before to check if we had questions before our ride. A great time - would definitely recommend 👍👍

Beautiful experience

This was a wonderful experience- our guide Taylor was very considerate and explained everything. My horse was perfect for me as a 75 year old who hasn’t been on a horse in 55 years.

Maiden voyage

It was wonderful. I have never ridden a horse, and our guide was very informative and attentive. My water bottle fell out of my pocket on the ride. I told her because I felt like I defiled the land. She assured me she would find it, but inquired if I would be okay without water. So kind.

Well done! Beautiful views. The horse I was matched with, Winchester, was amazing to ride and the saddle I had was very comfortable. Our guide Bella was amazing as well and managed to show us lots of wildlife, including elk. Would take a tour with this outfit again.

Excellent

The Gregory Trip

Christina_G, Jun 2024
Nice horseback ride through the hills. Very pretty! Guides were really friendly and helpful. In the summer make sure you have on sunscreen, bring water and use the bug spray they offer. I wore pants and I advise no shorts. If you are reading this and you have a child under 10, I would say don't do this trip, unless they are taller and heavier to be able to control the horse. We waited a long time for an 8 year old that was tiny and his horse did not follow his directions. It is also a long ride for little guys. They are about done halfway thru.

BAIR farm is beautiful...
