Brilliant tour of a special place

We loved this guided tour of the museum. Our guide, Giulia was incredibly knowledgeable and made the museum come alive with her enthusiasm.

Probably not worth it

Tour booked for 3:45. Later Learned it is a bike tour plus Uffizi (never said that on the description). Agreed with Operator to meet at Uffizi at 4:00. Tour guide did not show until 4:15. Equipment did not work, so after 10 minutes headphones were abandoned. Guide was kind and knowledgeable, but voice was too soft to hear without headsets. Then we moved so quickly past so much, it felt like a rush. Between the late arrival —as 4:15pm was 30 minutes later than what we signed up for and 15 later than what we later agreed— and bad sound equipment, no replacements, soft voice made it a sad experience. My wife and I count on those headsets to be able to hear, so by the time it was over, we felt significantly shortchanged! Luckily, with our short free time before closing, we were able to find a few pieces we definitely wanted to see, so not a total loss.

Additionally, we encourage you to participate in the informative introduction to the city and Medici history provided by our guide before reaching the Galleria degli Uffizi. The gallery houses numerous masterpieces that benefit from an introduction. The slow walking tour from our office to the Uffizi allows for a comprehensive experience, but it may cause a slight delay, with the guide arriving approximately 15 minutes later. This delay can be attributed to traffic or the specific art details requested by customers on the tour. Please note that the Uffizi gallery tour is conducted on foot and not by bike, in line with the offerings of our company, Florence Tours Enjoy Biking. The best tour of all

We booked at the last minute and most tours were sold out, so our expectations weren’t high. We got to the tour early, a little stressed because we’d run over from another tour. Our guide Elizabeth was there and her calm demeanor instantly relaxed us. She told us we had time for a gelato and directed us on where to go. Upon returning, now refreshed from our frozen treat, 2 other tourists joined us. So with only the 4 of us (almost a private tour), we set out. Elizabeth gave us a short tour of the history of the Medici family on the 10 - 15 minute walk to the Uffizi. This gave us important info so we could better understand the tour. It had not been advertised, so it was her special gift to us. Her expertise with the art at the Uffizi was amazing. She took us through the different stages of development of art, explaining these, and the artists, with incredible competence. By the end of the tour we had seen the major artists (Michelangelo, Raphael, Da Vinci, Caravaggio, etc.) and we knew a lot more about art as well. This was the best tour of all 5 of our tours in Italy.

Uffizi Small Group Tour Made Even Better!

We booked this as a last minute tour and are very glad we did. Turned out our family was the only one the tour. Elizabeth our guide was very knowledgeable about the paintings and the history of the Medicis and all those they patronized. The meeting point was a bit away from the Uffizi but that turned out to be a good thing as we walked past various landmarks and sites and she gave us a lot of information. Thanks to her we also learned that the Academy is open late on Tuesdays and we were able to get there right after the Uffizi. Great tour. Easy interaction/booking and wonderful hosts. Learned a lot. Totally worth it.

Terrible instructions, couldn't find group, lost our money

We booked the Uffizi gallery tour in Florence and showed up at the gallery five minutes before the meeting time. I double-checked the tickets I had downloaded and the emails I had received, and there were no instructions about a precise meeting point. Finally after clicking through several links we found something that said the meeting point was ... a kilometre away! By that time there was no time to walk 15 minutes to try to meet our group, so we waited near the gallery entrance hoping to meet with our group. We also phoned the number provided for the tour operator 4 times, but got no answer. When it became clear we were not going to find our group, we tried to exchange our voucher for a regular ticket at the museum, but they wouldn't do that for us. We stayed for 40 minutes and asked every tour group we saw if they were "Florence Tours" but never found them, never got a call, couldn't reach them and thus lost our afternoon and our money. Viator was unhelpful and won't offer a refund. These tours are really hit and miss. We've had some great experiences and guides, but this is the second disastrous one. Not sure we'll ever use Viator again. Too risky, and the information provided is often unclear. The meeting point, which is the most important piece of information, should be stated clearly in the confirmation and reminder emails! Instead, it is often the most difficult information to find!

Very disappointing

Easily the worst tour I have ever taken. The main points - it was barely 1 hour in the uffizi instead of 2 hours - technology didn't work - really bad English - more confusing than informing - NO structure at all - completely overwhelming in a negative sense In detail, we were supposed to meet at 10:30 far away from the uffizi gallery. We still started with a delay to walk for about 30 min at the slowest pace imaginable during which our tour guide tried to summarize 2000 years of Florentine history, while jumping between periods that even the last person got completely lost. Her English (bad) didn't make it easier of course. Arriving at the uffizi it took us another 20 min to get in. Our ticket said "11:30-11:45" which means that this is normal for this tour. During the whole time our tour guide was seemingly randomly enumerating all facts she can think of in an unstructured manner. The same continued inside and consequently 4 of the group left early. After barley an hour the tour was over in the uffizi gallery after having seen about 5 pictures and being more confused and informed. In conclusion, get a free walking tour to walk through florence and pay those guides handsomely as they do a great job (in contrast to this tour). For the uffizi get a skip-the-line ticket and an audio guide for 6€ or a proper private guide if you want to know more.

Die Tour durch die Uffizien war sehr beeindruckend. Ich war der einzige Teilnehmer der Tour und möchte mich ausdrücklich bei "Florence Tours" bedanken, dass sie die Tour nicht wie einige andere Tour-Operator wegen mangelnder Teilnehmer abgesagt haben. Larissa hat mich auf dieser "Privat-Tour" betreut. Es war eine sehr angenehme und unterhaltsame Zeit in den Uffizien. Larissa war sehr kompetent mit einer ausgewogenen Auswahl an Informationen über die Kunst und mit interessanten Hintergrundgeschichten. Die Tour mit Larissa kann ich nur empfehlen
