- Previous scooter/Vespa/motorcycle driving experience is required and mandatory: A driving test is conducted by the team before the tour to verify the real ability to drive and being confident on a Vespa. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with the partner or won’t allowed to attend the tour. No refunds will be granted in these cases.
- A valid credit card for preauthorization is required as a guarantee in case of damages to vehicle. (No prepaid card | No American Express cards | No bancoposta)
- A driver's license valid in Italy is required and must be presented upon arrival.
- Drivers must be at least 18 years old and passengers at least 15 years old

This was the most fun we had in Florence/ Tuscany area!! We weren’t totally sure at first, thought it might feel cheesy or overly “touristy” for our honeymoon, but we both agreed it was the best thing we had done on the trip.
Driving a Vespa through the Tuscan hills and country roads was a beautiful and unique experience. Alessandro, our guide, was knowledgable, friendly, and great to spend the day with. Then the winery lunch and tasting was gorgeous and delicious!!
Would recommend bringing water with you. This was such a beautiful, fun, and amazing experience! We were so glad we chose this over a regular bus winery tour. Would absolutely recommend for a fun, special, and memorable experience for a day in Tuscany.

Our tour guide Alessandro was funny and attentive. He provided historical content in a way that definitely made it memorable.
At first the thought of driving the Vespa on actual roads with actual traffic sounded a bit nerve wrecking 😳 in reality it wasn't.
The small group was perfect, although comolete strangers we were all there for the same reason-to make enjoy ourselves and make the most of the experience.
Highly recommend it!!!!

The wine tasting had an amazing lunch and I was fine just tasting and ready to be back on the Vespa for the last 40 mins. Alessandro loves Vespas and gives a great talk on the history and his own experiences w his Vespa.

This was one of the main highlights of our trip. We had the best time with our group leader Octavio and had such a great group all around. The wine tasting and lunch is an absolute cherry on top! We can’t wait to come back and do it again in the future :)

You should have ridden a scooter prior to trip. That being said, our guide was great —very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. Kept a good pace and was very patient. Overall a lot of fun on the vespas. Route was perfect. Wine and food were much more than we expected.

Valentina, our tour driver from point a to b was very friendly, knowledgeable, and sweet. You then met your Vespa tour guide, we had Alessandro, who was caring, patient, kind, and attentive from the start of the test drive to the end. Winery and lunch were delicious, we lucked out with weather, beautiful, and the scenery along the hilly ride through Tuscany was breathtaking..

The lunch was fantastic with 7 different wines! Videoing the poor lady in front of me unable to master left hand turns! Funny until she dumped it. No damage though -all’s good! Great time.

The experience itself was fun, however highly recommend that you do have some sort of scooter or Vespa riding experience. It took us almost 2 hours into our trip to get on and to start riding our Vespas by the time we took the bus, & took our test to make sure we were ready to go ride. The ride itself is very fast not much time for sightseeing, although we did stop at a few places to take pictures. My one disappointment was when we stopped for our lunch and our wine tasting. We were thinking that would be our last stop so we can enjoy the wine, however after our wine tasting and our lunch we had to get back on our Vespas and ride back to our finish spot. So we really didn’t get to enjoy our stop. Our guide was very sweet and really nice to help us, but overall was kind of disappointed in the actual ride.

One of the best experience we had in Italy: Vespa tour in tuscany . The guide Mr Alessandro was helpful and funny. The tour was really organised to ensure your safety with complete enjoyment . The Vespa team lead Mr. Octavia( the spelling may not be correct ) was also good

There is not enough staff for large groups. We were 6 plus another 6 there. Took forever. After all of the paperwork and testing, the last person failed the test despite driving a scooter at home. No refunds. The staff was very nice and got us to a winery instead. The other group finally left after being in the shop for hours

We are sorry to hear about your disappointment, but we believe it is not fair to receive a negative review for a tour you chose not to participate in which you are partially responsible for. We want to clarify some points:
1. Departure Process Longevity
Your family had booked 3 share vespas for 6 people which means 3 drivers and 3 passengers. The length of the pre-departure process was largely due to accommodate your family because instead of testing 3 drivers only as per your booking, all members of your family wanted to drive so this meant wasting more time to conduct the test drive for all members and file all documents required. This has caused general delays on the day not related to our lack of staff.
2. Test Driving Failed
Our decision regarding your daughter was made with safety in mind. The scooter, used for the driving test, is lighter than the standard Vespa used for the tour. Additionally, Vespas differ from scooters, particularly in weight and handling, which our tour leaders must consider to ensure the safety of all participants. Your daughter's previous experience with scooters did not meet the requirements for driving Vespas and her lack of confidence further contributed to the final result.
3. Alternative Offerings
After realizing that one part of your family wasn’t confident to ride a vehicle on her own and nobody else could carry the passenger, we were happy to offer a different tour to enjoy the rest of the day.
Despite your daughter not being eligible to join the Vespa tour, we offered her an opportunity for her and the other person to participate in your Tuscany wine tour, while you could carry on with the regular Vespa tour.
Your entire group though decided not to take the Vespa tour at the end, which resulted in us taking more time to organize alternatives not due. Despite this, we provided for free to all your members of the family :
- An alternative tour (Tuscany Wine Tour, which was luckily available on that date)
- A transfer to reach the group for the Tuscany wine tour
4. Mandatory Experience and Confidence
It is essential to note that participation in our Vespa tour requires previous experience and confidence in driving Vespas. These requirements are in place to ensure the safety of all participants, considering the unique challenges of navigating Italian streets on Vespas. Additionally, failing the driving test does not include alternatives or a refund as per the Terms and Conditions. Our primary concern is the safety of everyone involved, this is why we make it very clear online and by email that experience is required to avoid any disappointments on the day.
We genuinely strive to provide the best experience for our customers, and we regret to read that our extra effort wasn’t appreciated.

Be aware that the tour does not offer hassle free hotel pick up as stated in the description. You must meet them at the Porta Roma. From there you go on a 45 minutes long van ride to the companies office for 2 hours of paper work and safety tests before you get on a Vespa. The guide was not mean and a little off putting, but definately would not say he was fun or engaging. And be warned that the tour starts and stops on very busy city traffic streets with several round - a- bouts to navigate and we even seemed to be on a highway within a few minutes of being on the Vespa. Never did I feel like we were in the countryside. We were always on paved roads. Yes, there were some beatiful views, but it is hard to enjoy them when you have cars constantly close behind you or swerving around you. This was not a relaxing experience!!! However, the winery and lunch, was the best I have experienced in all of Italy.

Firstly, our booking services do not include hotel pick-up, as this option is not listed on our website or in our service descriptions. Nevertheless, if guests contact us, we're more than happy to assist with transportation arrangements.
Regarding our meeting point, it is indeed at Porta Romana. While the paperwork and safety tests are necessary for your safety, they typically don't take up much time. Our priority during the driving test is to ensure that participants are familiar with scooter driving and have previous experience to prevent any incidents.
As for the busy city streets and the lack of countryside experience, we want to clarify that while the start and end may involve navigating in the main road, the majority of the tour takes place on quieter secondary roads where we include stops for you to enjoy the views, take pictures, or simply savor the scenery. However, it's important to note that these are still public roads, and occasional encounters with locals are possible. We intentionally avoid gravel roads and we prefer paved for safety reasons, as the gravel roads can be slippery for inexperienced riders.
We understand that the Vespa tour may not be everyone's cup of tea, especially if you're seeking a more relaxed experience. We do offer other tours like the Chianti Wine tour, where you can enjoy the wines and scenery without driving, or our tours to Siena, Montepulciano & Cortona, which don't involve Vespa riding. The Vespa tour is designed to be more of an adventurous experience in Tuscany.

What an incredible day! Book this tour! We got to see the beautiful Tuscan countryside, and we stopped at a winery for a “light” (i.e. incredibly filling) lunch and tasted 10 wines! Vincenzo was an amazing guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable and great to be around. If you aren’t sure about you Vespa skills you can also book a tuk tuk and be driven around. The other couple on our tour did that, and it seemed fun as well. I rode on the back of my husband’s Vespa and it was an awesome day. We were in awe of the gorgeous scenery and learned so much about wine too. Thank you! A must-do!

Vincente was fantastic as a tour guide. The Vespa tour was fun and the views were amazing. The vineyard/restaurant we visited was great as well. We ordered four bottles to be shipped to our home! Good luck in Med school Vincente!!

Enjoyed our vespa ride in the chianti countryside. I do wish there were more stops within san gimignano and for summer they should have it earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. It was so hot! Viator should keep track of time bec we had to wait almost 1 hour for bus to pick us up after.

The worst experience ever—Being told after we fell off the Vespas because my husband hit a ditch (and I was right behind him) that we were responsible for the costs of the repairs and that the tour company had no insurance. This was never disclosed. Moreover, it is unreasonable. Even though they claimed they had previously sent us liability forms, we only received them when we arrived at the tour, at which time, there was no opportunity to review anything.

Is there anything better than traveling through the rolling hills of Tuscany near San Gimignano and ending with a fantastic and picturesque lunch and wine tasting?
