Fun day trip from the city. We really enjoyed it. Balazs was our guide and we found him interesting and informative. The town is beautiful!

Riding was an excellent guide who knew so much about the history and culture of Hungry. Rudi took us to all the beautiful churches and shops. He also treated us to a yummy Langos and we really enjoyed his company. The weather was perfect and the train ride out of the city was nice. Again we thank Rudi for being so knowledgeable and friendly. A perfect way to end our week in Budapest.

a great day trip. I needed more time. They should offer a more time option. so many boutiques I didn't have time to visit. definitely a highlight of my whole trip.

Great experience in a really cool town in Hungary.
Tour guide, Rudi, despite having a big portion of the planned group backing out last minute, led a fantastic tour. Train ride to and from Szentendre was filled with great history lessons and insight into areas we passed.
The town was great - with many food and souvenir shops. Rudi provided a wonderful walking tour of the location and left plenty of time for exploring as well. Highly recommend

Beautiful, relaxing visit to this lovely UNESCO wild heritage site. Amazing landscape, quaint shops, delicious food and drink offerings. Our guide, Rudi, was incredible: full of knowledge and history, and personable too.

First off—Rudi is an incredible tour guide. It was only my friend and me on the tour. Rudi was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and passionate about Hungarian history and culture. We had a great time exploring the artist’s village and came back with plenty of souvenirs and stories to tell. The town is so beautiful and worth the excursion.

The trip was super fun and relaxed, we were the only two on the tour. Nikki was super kind and informative and easy to talk to! The train ride was filled with conversation and facts and we got to try one of the food dishes (that I can’t remember the name of)

This a great way to visit the town. Rudy, our guide, provided us interestng detail of history and culture of Hungary and the town we visited.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you so much for the nice words. Glad you enjoyed your visit in Szentendre. You're always welcomed in Hungary.
khalid_p, Dec 2025
I thought the tour was supposed to travel in a van. The amount charged was too much for that tour. As a matter of fact two people cancelled the tour because of transportation
And there is never a reasonable time given to us on our time
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear Khalid,
The tour took place exactly as described in the tour details. If your expectations were different, it seems you may not have read the description carefully, and it’s unfair to hold us responsible for that misunderstanding.
Regarding the other two guests: they did not join the tour due to a medical issue, not because of any transportation problem.
Our Szentendre tour is the #1–rated experience in the area, appreciated by hundreds of travellers, and we are very proud of that.

Shared a great day with Rudi in Szentendre. Rudi filled us with information about Hungary's history and present life. Easy train ride; easy walking; some stairs. Rudi introduced us to the town and its history as we walked through. He treated us a delicious langos, then we were on our own to explore/shop/drink. An all around enjoyable day. Rudi was awesome!! Highly recommend.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you so much, Connie! We’re really happy you enjoyed your day in Szentendre with Rudi. It was a pleasure showing you the town’s history, culture, and of course sharing a delicious lángos together!
We’re glad you had such a great experience — thank you

This small town is quaint and friendly. The Marqrit Kovacs is not to be missed nor is the Danube tributary which kisses the shore. Our guide, Nikki, was informative and eager to share. Life is slower there and a perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of Budapest. Be sure to add it to your itinerary and enjoy your time there.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you so much for your lovely words! We’re really happy you enjoyed the charm of this small town — from the Margit Kovács Museum to the peaceful Danube-side atmosphere. It truly is the perfect escape from Budapest’s busy energy.
We’re grateful you chose to explore it with us!

Nicci was best guide we could ask for. She was very knowledgeable and kept us interested all the way. This is a trip you should do whilst visiting Budapest.

This was a perfectly lovely experience. Our guide, Nikki Simmons, was equal parts knowledgeable, and personable. She has a very charming and engaging personality. My friend and I both enjoyed this tour of Szentendre with Nikki leading us. The spot she took us to get lagos, which was one my friend’s must haves, was quaint and the lagos itself was yummy. Overall, worth every penny. If you are considering whether to do the tour, do it! If you can get Nikki, then you are in for a treat.
DONOVAN_M, Oct 2025
Our guide Nikki (spelling?) was great. Good English, very knowledgeable and very informative and helpful. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and has a very easy going way about how she guides us about Szentendre, with her amazing knowledge of the town and the greater history. I will recommend her as a guide to anyone requesting a tour in English to Szentendre.
Verlinda_R, Oct 2025
Our Guide, Nikki, was EXCELLENT. She provided continual knowledge and facts surrounding the area, that gave us a glimpse into the culture.

We’ve just spent a beautiful sunny Sunday on this tour of Szentendre, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The short train ride to this gorgeous town was so worthwhile. Our guide Rudi was excellent! His knowledge and conversation about Szentendre, Budapest and Hungary was so interesting.

I've traveled many countries and have procured the services of many guides. Rudi is by far the best tour guide I've ever had. His historic knowledge is beyond expectations and keeps you engaged the whole time. If you take this tour, get on his tour. You'll not regret it.
John_V, Sep 2025
The tour was very nice but it was surpassed by the tour guide. She was a great communicator, told interesting stories and was so nice.
Gwen_G, Sep 2025
Nikkie was our Guide. She was wonderful. I could tell she did her research and was amazing how she shared her knowledge about Szentendre and Hungary. She was comfortable in her role. Szentendre is a must see town to visit while in Hungary. It is colorful, full of boutique shops, beautiful scenery. Thank you Nikki for a lovely day!

Great if you are interested in art and/or
artisans. I loved it. Many shops and lots of history.
Nicky explained it all very well ( in English). She was very knowledgeable. Also great place to get langos.
B_C, Aug 2025
Szentendre is an amazing place! While you can certainly go by yourself, our guide Rudi really enhanced our experience by teaching us so much about the history and culture of Szentendre, Budapest, and Hungary in general.
Rudi was a wondeful guide--very personable and knowledgeable. My mom and I had a great time and learned so much!
David_W, Jul 2025
Very personalized smaller group tour. Rudi was extremely informative and gave us a firsthand viewpoint of the lives of the Hungarian people.
