The boat was loaded with people and could not hear anything about the tour. Also the views are the same as what we could see from the bridge or by the river. Really didn’t gain much better views.

Absolutely not as advertised. Description said Sightseeing tour with audio guide. Instead we got a booze cruise and the boat itself was not conducive to good pictures. I don’t think Viator and the cruise companies on the river “talk” to each other all that well. Additionally, the queue was very disorganized and people with later boarding times were intermingled amongst the current boarding time leading to confusion.

Horrible experience. Do not take this cruise.

Over crowded cruise. Not enough seats. Nowhere can one have panoramic view. The only place to see well is to stand in front of lower deck (jam packed). Horrible experience. Also, long queue to get on board. Old ship.

Death trap on The Danube!

SHOULD HAVE BEEN ZERO STARS. Total goat rodeo of a boat ride. Was way over booked, no seats outside or near windows, few remained inside but was way too hot to sit there. Staff was extremely rude. No safety briefing was provided, side doors locked and no emergency exits marked or communicated. Boat is a tragedy waiting to happen. Buyer beware, book at your own risk.

We booked the 8.40 cruise so we could see the buildings lit up. We couldn't hear the audio over the noise of the travellers so this was very disappointing. Volume should have been much higher on pa system.

Danube River cruise

The the cruise was nice. The reason I gave it a three is because the other passengers on board were so loud you could not hear the narration on the top deck. I don’t even think they were paying attention to the view. This did not come with ear audio narration. It would have been nice if the cruise line had some signs that said please keep quiet or keep your voices down or maybe even made an announcement to keep your voices down before we started.

The scenery is stunning however this experience was a let down, you couldn’t hear the audio properly at all and it seemed as if most people weren’t bothering to try to listen as they were too busy chatting loudly, children crying! If we could have heard the audio so we knew what we were looking at it would have been good. Next you can’t go outside so everyone is crammed round the windows trying to get a decent picture… not ideal. There is a limited (very) amount of outside space and when we asked if we could take a picture were selfishly told we are sitting here! All in all the trip could be fantastic, the scenery is but let down by fellow travellers!

The lights of Budapest really make the cruise a memorable experience. There was a map to orient you to the various sights to see. Very clear night and excellent for taking photos that we will cherish.

The tour lasts an hour and shows of Budapest from the unique perspective of the river. The staff were friendly, welcoming, spoke impeccable English and were helpful in explaining how to order drinks, food and how to access the rooftop area. The historic audio tour was very informative. Even our teenagers were enthusiastic!

Could hardly hear taped “guide”, as it’s very loud inside. Tables are packed, shoulder to shoulder; no view. We arrived 20+ minutes in advance to get a good seat. 5 minutes before boarding, staff came by and asked if we had tickets. We showed them, and they redirected us to another line, where we were almost the last to board.

Arrive on time (like 30mins before) because the line is huge and they take the best places.. however if you go to front you can still have a nice experience!

They don't comply the unformation

Only the 1st 30 min of the cruise are nice - then it's just a normal boat ride. Also there are no audio guides handed out and the upper deck could not even cover 50% of all the people. I recommend to go to the river and check directly on the spot. For me the 12€ is not with the trip as they don't comply their word of an audioguide!

The boat is comfy, but it’s very cold at night so make sure you’re wearing proper clothes, the stuff is very kind and helping. The French jazz music really sets the mood, we also got hot chocolate which made the experience 10 times better. Overall it was the best part of our trip, alongside the chairlift in Budapest, thank you so much

Bit of a cattle market at first with everyone queuing along the rivers edge without any guidance given as to what to do. View from the boat very worth while if you get a window seat

Fairly average experience to be honest. Felt like too many people on the boat with most seats not being able to see much at all, some even looking directly at a wall. I advise lining up at least 1 hour early to get a semi decent seat.

Fantastic cruise staff were all good, boat left on time free welcome drink was well appreciated, all the sights lit up at night were fantastic. Only gripe was lining up to wait for the cruise was a little chaotic with people not lining up and waiting there turn to board that was frustrating and with the welcome drink wait until a little while into the cruise as the 1 poor girl behind the bar was getting overwhelmed but all on all highly recommend for what you pay, the sights are fantastic.

The ride is ok and cheap, but they allow smoking (even the crew was doing it) in the top area, which is not completely open (take that into account if all you want is to tale pictures). It ruined part of the experience for me.
