The tour was wonderful, full of interesting information. Milan was a wonderful guide. Used personal antidotes to make it interesting.
Guide was difficult to hear in Great Synagogue so recommend seating close to guide - large space and many groups. Absolutely stunning synagogue. Worth the trip by itself. But if that’s all you want you can get free guided tour with tickets purchased from venue.
Excellent tour. Milan was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, was able to answer all questions. A truly meaningful tour of the Jewish quarter of Budapest with so much history.

It provided a wonderful overview of the history of the Jewish people in Budapest/Hungary while encompassing a walk through the Great Synagogue and 2 others. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered all questions asked of him. An excellent introduction to the Jewish population in Budapest.

So nice to have a knowledgeable guide to take us through the 2 synagogues and give us background. We saw the Orthodox synagogue from the outside and while we didn't take us to the shoes on the Danube he gave us background that was useful when we visited later. Milan was patient and willing to answer any and all questions. Definitely worth the price.

Milán led an extremely informative and entertaining tour of Budapest's two most important synagogues. Over two and a half hours, he painted a comprehensive picture of the history, cultural relevance, and modern perspectives on these magnificent buildings. He also spent a significant amount of time educating our group more broadly on the complicated history of Jews in Hungary. Despite covering some heavy and politically charged topics, Milán was cheerful, positive, unbiased, and above all extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend his tour to anyone seeking to gain a deeper understanding of this important part of Budapest's diverse and colorful history.

What a great historical and comprehensive tour. Our tour guide, Milan, was amazing. He was so personable, fun, and funny, too. We had a great time.
We got a good short history of Jews in Hungary, the Neologues’ changes, and a description of how the Dohany synagogue was designed like a church more than a synagogue and why. Despite the very sad times for Jews in Hungary and Budapest, Milan (himself Jewish) had a good sense of humor. The description of the ghetto and what the Nazis did was horrifying.

Milan was our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and made it a priority to engage us and answer our many questions. If you are in Budapest, this is a must with Milan.
A commentary from one of my kids: He was very funny and always tried to keep us in shade ( temp was close to 100f). He also found a way to make the tour not just history but a way to make memories.

Wonderful tour of the Great Synagogue. Flavia was upbeat and exceptionally knowledgeable. There was a bomb scare in front of our last stop so she called an audible and took us to another spot. We'll worth it.
David was very good. He had great information and kept the pace moving. The synagogues were gorgeous and the walking was easy for all attendees. The only comment was he never reached out to us prior to the tour to know where to meet or how to identify him. We just happened to ask around until we found him.
