Take the long tour. You go beyond the main synagogue and get to see the jewish quarter and learn more about plus the rumbaugh synagogue is fascinating. David was a great guide!

Very interesting and full of history. The Guide, Kalia or Katy’s,, was excellent. She moved us efficiently through the individual synagogues and explained about the uniqueness of the large temple on Duhaney. The guided Tour was everything I hoped for.

Travellers should know that the tour is a walking tour only what’s visited is very local very interesting but very local it involves mainly the synagogue area and perhaps one or two blocks in the region. The advertising gives the impression that there is further areas to be explored, perhaps by mini bus. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and very interesting but he spoke very quickly. As a Jew, I could follow and understand what he was talking about, but I think non-Jews would have a problem in following all of the information that he was giving us.🚍

You learn a lot about the history of the area. If you are doing the long tour, you don't have a change to go back and see the old synagogue on your own.

Absolutely fascinating tour around different Synagogues our tour guide was Mica who was Hungarian and Jewish which really brought the tour to life . He had a great sense of humour and a fabulous knowledge of all the Jewish history . An incredibly personable and inspiring tour guide and would highly recommend.

Milan had an informative and well-organized visit planned. After he gave an overview of Hungarian Jewry, with focus on geographical, cultural and religious differences, we visited 3 synagogues that were close by, the ghetto, the ghetto museum and the cemetery. Milan has researched his topics extremely well, and welcomed participant questions all of which he could answer expertly. He also anticipated participants' needs, adjusting the tour accordingly what spaces and timing were concerned. He is clearly passionate about and dedicated to the topic. I can warmly recommend Milan and the tour to anybody interested in Hungarian Jewish history.
