Meet your guide in front of the Basilica Ticket Office. It is on the square, 50 meters to the right from the steps of St Stephen's Basilica, next to Starbucks coffee shop. Your tour guide will hold a sign GUIDED TOUR, staying a few meters away at Starbucks, if there is a crowd at the ticket office.

Friendly and informative. Wonderful tour of the Basilica but also very informative about the history of Budapest its inhabitants and Hungary in general. Katalin also knew loads about the British Film Industry!

Meeting up with the tour guide was a challenge as the meeting place assigned was in front of ticket office that sold tickets for the same event. The guide did not have on any attire indicating she was a guide or nothing on her sign she pulled out of her bag that said Basilica tour.
It was raining and we stood in line attempting to locate the person.
Once inside the Basilica she was knowledgeable.
We have been on better organized tours with Viator and that's why we continue to use them, not all can be winners.

A must do tour. The inside of the Basalica is amazing. Our guide Alexandria was very knowledgeable and spike fluent English.

We had an amazing tour of the basilica today with Petra. She was an amazing tour guide and gave us so much information not only about the cathedral, but also about the history of Hungary. She was clear, and concise. She was like a family member. What a great tour guide.

Some stairs involved, however, the elevator made it easier to make our way to the top and take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the city.

Petra was WONDERFUL.
That said, I don’t think a guided tour was necessary. Spent probably 2x there than needed. It’s beautiful….and the view from the top is a must.
It was brutally hot. We waited an extra 15 minutes for some no-shows….while that’s nice, they made no contact so we should have started 5 minutes max.
Would suggest cutting back to 30 minutes. Still a great experience.

The guide wasn’t feeling well but she still did a lovely job on the tour. She apologized for being late and not having the sign we were to look for but she made an effort to find all the participants and gather us.

A beautiful Basilica, definitely a 'must see'. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. Don't forget to book the option with the Treasury and Dome, there's a lift!! Well worth seeing and hearing the history behind it.

The church is magnificent but our guide was not very well organized. He did not have all of the facts available. He was patient and tried to please, but we had a free walking tour earlier in the day that was significantly better.

The history is interesting. Our guide was sweet but we had a very difficult time hearing her. The Basilica is big and not easy to hear in (and I am good of hearing) and the Christmas markets where she first discussed things with us was very loud and we could not here the explanations.
