- A Note to Parents: We love welcoming children to the ranch and believe farm visits can be a magical, educational experience for all ages. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests, animals, and team, we kindly ask that children are supervised at all times. For families with young kids, we recommend a ratio of at least one adult per two children to help guide safe, respectful interactions with the animals and the environment. This is a working farm—and we appreciate your help in keeping the experience calm, safe, and positive for everyone involved (including our alpacas!).
- Some of our online listings only allow for the purchase of 4 tickets at a time, but this tour is NOT a private tour - there could be up to 30+ people on one tour!
- Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome on our farm tours. However, please note that the terrain includes gravel, rocks, and dirt paths, which may be difficult to navigate for some mobility devices. We recommend using all-terrain options if available and are happy to accommodate as best we can — just let us know in advance.
- We understand that mobility can be a concern, especially for those who may have difficulty walking longer distances. As a working farm, our property includes uneven terrain such as gravel, dirt roads, and natural rocks, which may present challenges for some guests. That said, our tours move at a relaxed, comfortable pace with plenty of time to enjoy the animals. We want everyone to feel welcome here and will do our best to accommodate your needs. If you have questions or would like help planning your visit, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 4 travelers

This tour was such a fun and relaxing experience! Fiona was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, kind, and full of fun facts about the alpacas and llamas. I really appreciated how she made the tour feel personal, answering questions and making sure everyone had time to interact with the animals. The farm itself was beautiful, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. If you love animals and want to learn more about them in a welcoming environment, this tour is perfect. Highly recommend Fiona as a guide.

Just a great experience, educational as well as just great fun. Owner was our guide and amazed us by knowing every animal’s name.
Enjoyed watching the children walking the alpacas.

After booking the reservation and telling the wedding party, I was met with covered smirks and finger pointing. BUT once I had the pictures with BB King and Cinnamon (the few week old alpaca), the groomsmen had nothin on me. If I ever find myself back in Bozeman I will be going again. P.S. there’s a gray/white lama who has zero patience when it comes to the hand feeding portion of the tour, he will push others out of the way. Don’t try and shoo him away to feed the shy guys unless you want the full experience being in the crossfire of a lama spit warzone. He will get jealous. Identified in last picture.

Thank you for the wonderful review! Hmmm... Seems like there's some llama drama on the farm to look into! Thanks for the heads up, George. The animals know how to keep things interesting around here. Luckily 99% of the time when the spit goes flying its aimed at another animal, not a human. Thanks again for sharing your tour tips!

What an amazing experience! The alpaca farm tour was fun, engaging, and memorable from start to finish. The host was incredibly friendly and made sure everyone felt included, encouraging guests to interact with the alpacas, which was definitely the highlight of the visit. It’s a heartwarming experience for all ages and one that will leave you smiling. As a lovely finishing touch, each guest receives a small souvenir after the tour. I highly recommend it—you won’t be disappointed!

Our guide was so informative. I learned so much more information. We were able to walk them, hold a baby, and feed them by hand. My wife was spat upon. It was HILARIOUS.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Ha! Please tell your wife thank you for being a good sport. Some people say the spit is good luck. We are happy you enjoyed your time here and left with a story to tell. Thanks again from all of us at AOM!

We had such a fun time on the alpaca tour! The alpacas were incredibly cute, gentle, and so sweet to interact with. Our guide shared lots of interesting facts about them, and it was informative without feeling overwhelming. The tour was the perfect length—not too short or too long—which made it enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun and unique activity! Jenna was an amazing guide! We hope to come back.
Response from Host, Aug 2026

Our afternoon was really enjoyable. So much more than a petting zoo type experience. We learned a bit and truly enjoyed the direct one-on-one interactions with the alpacas.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Perfect! That's always the goal. Thanks so much, Ben!
Larry_D, Jul 2026
The alpacas and llamas were very cool and friendly. We got to walk them, feed them, and hold a baby. The tour guide was talking exceptionally fast so that we couldn’t understand her. We asked her to slow down, but she didn’t.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for the feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the animals.
caitie_s, Jul 2026
The Alpacas of Montana was a great experience. Jenna was a fantastic tour guide. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys lammas and alpacas.
adrianne_v, Jun 2026
We had a great time, even in the rain. You will meet at the store, they provide boots so your shoes don’t get dirty, we were also provided ponchos due to the rain. Grace was very knowledgeable about the farm and alpacas in general. The alpacas are so cute! Babies are adorable.
JeriAnn_J, Jun 2026
A fun and educational experience for all ages. Even my 15-year old grandson loved it! Turkeys, chickens, prairie dogs, llama, dogs, and of course, alpacas.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Fantastic! Thanks for the 5 stars!
Clifford_B, Jun 2026
You park on the farm and get to hear a bit of history on Alpacas and Llamas for the first few minutes. Then, you spend most of the actual time with the animal. We got to feed them, hold a baby and take some on a walk, you get a chance to take great photos. It’s totally worth the cost and way more bang for your buck than a corporate animal interaction. Fun experience.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
So true! Thank you very much! We are so happy it was a worthwhile experience for you.
Tiffany_N, Jun 2026
This was such a fun, memorable experience, from petting to feeding to walking the alpacas and llamas! It was so therapeutic for myself and my daughter. The llamas and alpacas were so gentle and friendly to us. The tour guide was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable as she was guiding us around her farm. There’s even a store full of items made out of alpaca fleece. If I ever come back to Bozeman, I will definitely visit this farm again! :)
Response from Host, Jun 2026
That's what we like to hear! Thank you very much, Tiffany! We will look forward to your next visit.

What a wonderful experience for our family as we closed out our WY/MT trip!! Truly one of the greatest highlights of our vacation. Dani was an excellent educator and guide through the farm, we were able to touch the alpacas and llamas, take alpacas on a walk through the pasture, and hold a two week old baby Alpaca!! 😍 cuteness overload. They also design and manufacture gorgeous items for sale in their onsite gift shop. Thank goodness they offered free shipping because we bought lots of lovely items and an alpaca blanket. ❤️
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Cuteness overload is a great description! Dani will be happy to hear that this was the highlight of your Rocky Mountain trip! Thank you very much from all of us at AOM (including the animals).
Elizabeth_M, Jun 2026

If you visit on a cold day, take some gloves! 🙂
Other than that, the farm experience was wonderful. Fiona Beatty was very knowledgeable and informative in explaining the difference between llamas and alpacas. With her guidance, we got to feed baby and mama alpacas, pet and interact with them. That experience was followed by taking the males for a walk, and there were several photo opportunities with the animals, which Fiona was also very helpful with. I recommend this experience 100%.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hi Andrea! We are so glad you enjoyed your time here. Thanks for the review.

Our guide Jenna was so knowledgeable and kind, she was very helpful throughout the tour when the alpacas were being a bit stubborn haha! The farm is beautiful and the animals seem to be well taken care of.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Wonderful and oh yes! The stubborn side of the alpacas seems to come out when the grass is fresh and green. It makes for some comedic moments. They really are just like people. Thanks for the wonderful review of Jenna's tour!
