Make your way to a central location in Boise’s historic center, where you’ll meet a local guide and group for your culinary walking tour of the city. Follow a route designed by Victor Scargle, an award-winning chef at the Culinary Institute of America’s Napa campus.
Hear stories about local history and culture as you make your way to your first tasting location: the route changes with each tour, but come hungry, as the 6 (or more) tastings combine to be a hearty meal. Stop includes foodie destinations such as Boise's historic Basque Market, the Boise Farmers Market, BACON, and recent winners of the ‘Best of Boise’ awards.
Stroll down tree lined streets to see public art, and take in historic mansions, parks, and downtown attractions. Included with your walking tour is a Neighborhood Guide, a booklet with Boise maps, discounts at local restaurants, and accommodations suggestions—it's the perfect way to get the lay of the land in Boise.

Our tour was an excellent experience. Henry was great. Local guy that loves to travel and gastronomy. We connected with him right away. The places that we went to were really good. There was enough time to enjoy each place. Henry would be kind enough to give us a short story behind every dish and restaurant that we went to. In addition, being a local makes everything easier.
Main question that a lot of people ask: do you get full? Yes, we did. If you are planning on staying in Boise for a couple of days, I advice you to give it a try before exploring the city.

Good and culture tour of downtown Boise
The restaurants served good size tasting plates
All were delicious
One was a Basque restaurant which was outstanding
Great welcoming and comfortable venues
Staff were friendly, polite, and great service
Easy walk around a few blocks of downtown
Learnt some history of Boise which was interesting
The tour guide was knowledgeable and easy going

Had a great time with Ha, a wonderful guide with lots of information for us. The stops were all great, and all the food was wonderful. Everyone at each stop was so kind, and someone took the time to speak with us, giving a little history or tidbit about the served food. Thoroughly enjoyed the time.

This was a great event to attend as a work outing for 8 co-workers since we work in an office downtown. I had never known about quite a few of these restaurants but will certainly be coming back to them now I know what they offer. They all had something very unique to offer and it demonstrated how diverse the food scene in Boise really is! Our tour guide was very friendly, patient and efficient. Perhaps a little more research should be done on Freak Alley as a bystander suggested factual discrepancies, but otherwise she knew the city well and you could tell how much she has comes to love it. Thank you so much for presenting such a wonderful event!

This was our first ever Culinary Tour and the best part about it was that it included a Cultural/Historical information along the way so very informative. Angela was detailed and relaxed throughout the tour. She gave us a great overview before we got started and all along the way you could tell she was a part of the community and was on a first name basis with all the owners/proprietors of each place we went to.
Heck - we even ran into the Mayor of Boise who came over and gave Angela and Bob ( one of the other persons on the Tour with us who knew the Mayor for over 40 years ) hugs and hand shakes and we got a photo with the mayor :) VIP Tour all the way and soon to be a certified ZERO calorie tour since you walk most of the food off by the end :) Thanks Again Angela for a great tour for first timers. My wife and I have vowed that we will start each and every town that we visit with one of these type tours.

This was a lovely experience, well balanced with season-inspired bruschetta, Thai rolls, olive oil tasting, chocolate, and more. Evangel was a great guide, well informed and enthused. We learned about local architecture and the state capital, and Freak Alley, full of outdoor murals. It was a fun time, and we picked several items for hostess gifts from the local shops.
