If you swap from the red to green lines you finish at the green. The tour stops running at 1700 hrs and you I’ll not return to to the place you originated the tour so be careful you will need figure out how to get back where you started.

Berlin Bus tour was good and informative. Really impressed with our last bus driver, there was a protest and roads were closed off everywhere which diverted the stops - but he navigated out of all of it beautifully

Good way to see the city

This was a good way to see the city with commentary. Bus stops or goes by most of the highlights in Berlin. Some busses were pretty full but we were able to get on and have a seat.

A bit confusing

So there are 3 different bus companies operating and you have to make sure you are on the right one. This one didn't seem as often as the other 2. It was helpful when it came to getting about but there are only people with signs, no actual bus stop. I only learnt afterwards, there is an app you can download for live bus times. It was OK, especially as the city is big.

This would be ok if you are not used to walking or not comfortable navigating in a strange city. But for our family, it had long stops the took up too much time from seeing what we wanted to see, and we only stayed on for a few stops.

Seeing Berlin

It is a great way to get an overview of the city. We did it early in the AM when traffic wasn’t too bad. We bought a 48 hour pass and did the hopping off and the second day. We had two different lines we did. The only issue we had was with the audio on one of the buses. The audio connection is very sensitive and it kept going in and out.

The audio was absolutely terrible. Only one side of the headphones had sound (all 3 sets and whichever seat you sat in). And the commentary was awful, it was 2 men talking back and forth - one was seemingly stupid and they seemed to be arguing. We just wanted to hear the facts not some terrible attempt at comedy.

Great way to see the city landmarks

Great way to get your bearings and see the city. The only criticism is that it’s not very clear where the stops are. In other cutie we’ve visited the stops are clearly marked but due to Berlin’s licensing(?) the stops are not marked so we were at a loss and there didn’t appear to be many busses on the go. That said, it didn’t put us off and it’s a great way to cover a lot of ground and “hop on and off”

Disappointing Bus Tour

We have taken many hop on-hop off busses in many different cities as it is usually a great way to see the important sights of a city. However we found this one to be less satisfactory than most. The driver’s microphone was not working (which he did explain and was not his fault), so we had to count the stops. Other city bus tours make the stop numbers part of the recorded audio tour. We found the recorded portion to be okay but not up to par with other cities we’ve been to. The bus was crowded when we first got on and there were no seats. So we weren’t able to hear the audio tour while standing. Fortunately after a couple of stops, a large group of people got off and we were able to move to a seat upstairs and plug in. The plug was iffy and I had to wiggle it to hear in either one ear or the other (couldn’t get both simultaneously). We found the tour to be so-so as far as seeing interesting sights. I usually tell people that the hop on-hop off busses are a great way to get an idea of what you wish to go back and see in depth, but we didn’t feel that way about this particular tour. FYI we took the Red route (classic route?). It was okay. And if you want to see some things and don’t want to walk a lot or if the weather is inclement, this isn’t a bad tour. It’s just not up to par with what we have come to expect with similar busses in other cities.

Need to activate 48 tickets on Day 1 or it disappears

If you purchase a 48 hour option on the hop on hop off bus tour, you need to activate the ticket on the FIRST day...even if you only use the second day. If not activated on Day 1, the ticket disappears from the system and there is no quick way to retrieve it at the pick up location sales people. A really poor experience and should have been clear for 48 hour Hop On Hop Off purchase.

Complete waste of time. The drivers are constantly in break. It takes forever for the buses to keep going. Some of the drivers were rude would not even look at you when you ask questions. In fact they are irritated if you ask a question.
