Confusing to find outside of central train station , tourist center was not very friendly , construction around train center made it more difficult , and after 1 hr , the bus driver instructed all of us to get off said bus as his shift was over and he needed to get the bus back to the terminal . Meanwhile we are dropped off in a park , we have no idea wheee we are nor how to get Back to the train station!!! Cmon !!??

Waste of a day

We had a 24 hour pass, good from 930 until about 430 (it says 6, but that's when they shut, so be on a bus by 4pm) We spent a total of 90 minutes waiting on parked busses. One time was for 35 minutes! The driver just left the bus without explanation. We took a Metro back after 35 minutes. There were a lot of people still waiting... They may still be there. The recordes tour guides were annoying, and there was very little content. I other cities they almost never stop describing things. This was 95% dead air. Not at all worth the money. Maybe try Big Bus? They at least had more frequent busses.

Other European cities when we have used this service point out other features of interest along the way to the next featured point of interest. If you swap from the red to green lines you finish at the green. The tour stops running at 1700 hrs and you I’ll not return to to the place you originated the tour so be careful you will need figure out how to get back where you started.

Good way to see the city

A bit confusing

So there are 3 different bus companies operating and you have to make sure you are on the right one. This one didn't seem as often as the other 2. It was helpful when it came to getting about but there are only people with signs, no actual bus stop. I only learnt afterwards, there is an app you can download for live bus times. It was OK, especially as the city is big.

It is a great way to get an overview of the city. We did it early in the AM when traffic wasn’t too bad. We bought a 48 hour pass and did the hopping off and the second day. We had two different lines we did. The only issue we had was with the audio on one of the buses. The audio connection is very sensitive and it kept going in and out.

The audio was absolutely terrible. Only one side of the headphones had sound (all 3 sets and whichever seat you sat in). And the commentary was awful, it was 2 men talking back and forth - one was seemingly stupid and they seemed to be arguing. We just wanted to hear the facts not some terrible attempt at comedy.

Great way to see the city landmarks

Great way to get your bearings and see the city. The only criticism is that it’s not very clear where the stops are. In other cutie we’ve visited the stops are clearly marked but due to Berlin’s licensing(?) the stops are not marked so we were at a loss and there didn’t appear to be many busses on the go. That said, it didn’t put us off and it’s a great way to cover a lot of ground and “hop on and off”

Disappointing Bus Tour

We have taken many hop on-hop off busses in many different cities as it is usually a great way to see the important sights of a city. However we found this one to be less satisfactory than most. The driver’s microphone was not working (which he did explain and was not his fault), so we had to count the stops. Other city bus tours make the stop numbers part of the recorded audio tour. We found the recorded portion to be okay but not up to par with other cities we’ve been to. The bus was crowded when we first got on and there were no seats. So we weren’t able to hear the audio tour while standing. Fortunately after a couple of stops, a large group of people got off and we were able to move to a seat upstairs and plug in. The plug was iffy and I had to wiggle it to hear in either one ear or the other (couldn’t get both simultaneously). We found the tour to be so-so as far as seeing interesting sights. I usually tell people that the hop on-hop off busses are a great way to get an idea of what you wish to go back and see in depth, but we didn’t feel that way about this particular tour. FYI we took the Red route (classic route?). It was okay. And if you want to see some things and don’t want to walk a lot or if the weather is inclement, this isn’t a bad tour. My first time doing this. We enjoyed it. The english audio is cheesy but it was good nonetheless. Waiting in between hoping off/on was not bad. If you do the A and B you will need the whole day. It was nice to see some residential areas too #Local

We got to pass by all of the important monuments and buildings and get off to take pictures. Check Point Charlie, the Brandenburgh Gate and the Tier Garden.
