We meet by the canal and mini pier located on Nieuwe Keizersgracht #1 . Your friendly Captain will be awaiting you at the small open boat 10-15 minutes before the boat tour starts. Please note that we do not have an office and you check in with the Captain at the boat.

Fantastic experience with Skipper Jo - he had all the right attention to detail, acting as guide & captain, impressing & engaging by turn.
We took what was the Sunset cruise - a magical time for exploring Amsterdam's many Grachts, with lovely light levels & an ever changing perspective on the water.
Amsterdam Boat Adventures is highly recommended - you won't regret the experience!

JC was our guide and he was excellent… he even sang a song for us! A great tour with a nice small group size. We stopped at four stops along the way to hear the historical significance of the location. Our favorite was the park with floating boxes of blooming tulips.

adam and jamie were very welcoming and hospitable. they were very informative and made the tour a very enjoyable one with jokes and interesting facts. we highly recommend this canal tour over other busier canal tour agencies

Maybe I misunderstood but I thought we were supposed to have snacks on this canal cruise. Also, there was only 1 kind of not very good wine and the beer was lukewarm. BUT, Atilla was very nice and gave us a lot of history about the canals and Amsterdam in general.

This one is open boat ride which makes it so much more enjoyable. The captain is very funny and knowledgeable. Whole thing is an amazing experience. Wine and beer on board.

Thank you to our captain, Joe. The trip was as comfortable and atmospheric as possible. I specifically chose the latest time to enjoy the sunset and nighttime Amsterdam. I wasn’t wrong with my choice. Our captain was very friendly and gladly answered our questions. We had an interesting conversation and exchanged our cultures. We were lucky to catch a concert and enjoy it, even if only for a short time. This trip is definitely worth taking. You don’t need to worry if you are solo traveler. It is as safe und comfy as possible. In future I would like to repeat this experience, but with my friends, family.

Very nice small group cruise but the captain/ tour guide was more in to socializing with passengers from Germany instead of telling us about the history or facts about what we were seeing.

Us all talking, has a lovely attitude and in general gave us loads and loads of fascinating knowledge of the city while taking us through some beautiful spots, can’t recommend this trip and especially Eddie enough.

Enjoyed a very peaceful evening canal cruise with the knowledgable Captain Joao. This is a smaller boat so the experience was chilled with the charismatic Joao creating a friendly & welcoming atmosphere. For those who prefer a drink as you drift, this is possible but for those who don’t, you are not paying for it in your ticket cost. Would highly recommend.

It was a little hard to find but once we got on the boat all was fine. Joe was a great tour guide, he was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Would recommend the evening cruise not so contested on the canals.

This tour was definitely a highlight of our Amsterdam trip! Joao was an EXCELLENT guide! He prefaced the tour by explaining that he doesn't follow a set script, but instead prefers to answer any questions we might have, which he did so well! It made the tour feel really personalized and engaging. He was clearly so earnest and passionate about learning new things and sharing what he knew, everything from history to architecture to culture. The fact that we had a smaller, open boat meant we got to go into some of the less busy, more peaceful canals and neighborhoods. The blankets were such a nice touch, so even though it was a chilly day, we were perfectly comfortable on the boat. Joao's recommendation of a Dutch restaurant for dinner after the evening tour was also great. Thanks so much!
