Sophie was great. We had a very small group that went that night kept us informed. How’s the ends and ounce of the red light District why did it start? Didn’t touch more history on Amsterdam itself then very easy pace to walk it so plenty of historical sites that tied into the red light District recommend you do it the very first night or a day you’re there

Ben was a fantastic guide, has a wealth of knowledge and provided us with a lot of laughs along the way. This tour is a great way to see the nightlife, learn the history of Amsterdams red light area and coffee house culture, and other areas that you would otherwise bypass. I forget our guide’s name, but she was lovely! She was tall with curly blonde hair. She was engaging, funny, and approached the red light district topics with dignity for the workers. I really enjoyed her commentary and knowledge of Amsterdam history. She made a point to chat with all members of our group too, which I thought was great.

My hubby and I took this Red Light District tour with Ben and boy was it interesting. Ben gives you the straight non-sugar-coated tales of the past on how Amsterdam became wealthy through their monopoly on sea faring trade. He then tied those tales of the past into how it has shaped modern Amsterdam into the willfully independent and unapologetically tolerant culture they have today. If you want to hear the naked truth about Amsterdam’s history then you should take this walk with Ben.
