Take a quick ferry ride over the IJ river, passing by landmarks including the EYE Film Institute and the Krijtmolen d'Admiraal windmill.
The short tour covers 14 miles (23 kilometers) and uses a standard bike. Pass charming medieval villages such as Zunderdorp and Ransdorp, and spot local landmarks along the way.
If you've chosen the long tour, ride your electric bike through some 23 miles (37 kilometers) of countryside, making a stop at a traditional Dutch cheese farm and a wooden clog workshop.
Your tour ends back at the original departure point.

I had such a wonderful experience on our e-bike tour with Sebastian! The ride through the countryside of Amsterdam was absolutely beautiful and a perfect way to see a different side of the city. The e-bikes made the journey easy and relaxing, even over longer distances.
Sebastian was a fantastic guide – friendly, knowledgeable, and always making sure everyone was comfortable. He shared lots of interesting stories and insights about the area, which really brought the experience to life.
One of the highlights was visiting a traditional cheese factory, where we got to see how Dutch cheese is made and, of course, taste some delicious samples.
The whole tour lasted about 4 hours, but the time flew by. It was such a lovely and memorable way to spend the day, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Mark is an amazing tour guide, showing us around the country side of North Holland where he grew up, while at the same time making sure everyone in the tour is safe on their bike throughout the tour. Man rode the bike with his flip flop.

This was so fun! My son and I were excited to get out of the city and see the countryside. The bikes were easy and fun to ride. The tour guide was fun, knowledgeable and took us on a really fun route. The weather was great and we thoroughly enjoyed this excursion.

We were in a group of 12 riders with one guide which we thought was too many riders with just one guide. Our guide asked for someone to ride in the back to be sure everyone kept up so one of our friends volunteered. A few of the riders were less experienced and we feel that warranted a second guide. There were a few issues with the bikes also...chain falling off, battery pack not staying locked in place. The ride itself is pretty, maybe a little long. The gouda cheese and clog stop was nice.

A chain coming off and a battery pack that would not lock are not acceptable on a Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam e-bike, and I have passed both to our fleet team. Twelve is well within our normal group size, but the guide should keep the back of the group covered without needing a guest to help, and I have raised that with the team. The bike ride was very nice, as you traveled along the beautiful countryside and pastures. Christian, our guide, was just awesome. He made sure that everyone was comfortable with their e-bike. He also explained the Dutch rule if the road when biking in the Netherlands. There were a number of stops where he provided insights into the area. He also took pictures of the group with his camera and we were able to download them from their website.
I fully recommend this tour who wants to get out of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam.

In the description they said a Windmill, this was correct but slightly misleading for a first timer. There was one Windmill but not the popular Windmills. This was my first time in Amsterdam and fell for it. The tour goes through countryside at speed and no time to enjoy. If you only want a long bike ride this will be fine but if you want to enjoy the views and feel the countryside this is not what you want.

Our tour guide “Rinse” was so knowledgeable of everything and taught us some interesting history! He was full of great stories and even a dad joke! The wooden shoe and cheese stop was amazing too! I’d recommend this tour to anyone!

Bring water and snacks. The E-bikes have saddle bags to hold anything you want to bring with you. The bike shop has free sunscreen, and helmets are included. It is also extremely windy so dress in layers and pack lip balm.

My family had a wonderful time on the countryside bike tour. My husband and I were on the tour with our three teenage children and they loved it as much as us. The guide was fantastic - super professional and very knowledgeable. However, the tour is very long. You are basically seeing the same thing over and over for hours. Yes, the countryside is beautiful, but it seemed unnecessarily long. Then the place where there were cheese and clogs seemed like a tourist trap and one long sales pitch. The person at the shop, while entertaining, was overselling.

Friendly guide. Nice e-bikes with luggage bags. It was a lovely route where we got to see a nice town, lots of birds, a windmill and stop by a farm. Lots of photo opportunities and a good pace throughout the day.
The meeting location was convenient, not for from central station. We had a group of ten people and it didn't feel to crowded or too much - we all got a chance to ride and the from and middle and back of the group.
The little ducks at the farm were super cute and it was nice to taste some cheese. The farm representative was high energy and entertaining but we would have been interested in more factual information being shared about the clogs. Nice shop to purchase some souvenirs.
Overall, a lovely experience, an easy cycle and we were well looked after by our lovely tour guide.
